Part 8: uuuuuuuuuuuummmmm
Welcome to my 8th poll regarding licensed characters. So there I was, scrolling through YT looking at fan-made dbd concepts from everything to survivors and their perks to killers and their chase music. And while doing this I came across the strangest idea I've ever seen. And I don't mean this is a bad way. I actually really enjoyed what I watched. And now I'll link the video and let it roll around in your heads for a minute.

🟩Sure I'd like it
After watching this video I thought to myself "EH you know what ######### it why not? I'd like it." Granted the lore and size of this character would be complicating.

Probably but it was interesting to see.

🟧I don't like it but its whatever
I'm a big fan of lovecraftian horror, but I'm not a big fan of creating massively underpowered versions of characters that are so genuinely held back it's not fun to see them.

I am alright with Lovecraftian horror and stuff, but Cthulhu? Last I checked humans cannot even comprehend Cthulhu. Cthulhu is far too strong to be in-game. He'd either have to be nerfed to the point it may as well not be Cthulhu anymore or it'd be FAR too broken. He's also big as hell, like hundreds of meters tall, so he wouldn't fit in multiple maps. I'd prefer a license that can stay true to the original's power scale, something like Jason, Alien, Candyman, or others who don't need to be dumbed down too far to work.

There's a plethora of other Lovecraftian entities to choose from, Cthulhu is both too powerful and too large. Other monster from Lovecraft that could work would be the Dunwich Horror, or an creature directly derived from Lovecraft could be Darkest Dungeons' Shambler, Collector, or Thing from the Stars.

Yeah however that is a concern that goes for many licensed characters.

🟦YES I WANT IT
Honestly, I do really like the idea of a gigantic/map based killer. In my mind, I had a concept for 'map based' killers, they only work on one map specifically made for them and work very different from other killers having much more pressure across the map. An example would be how Nemesis has his zombies, but imagine that on a higher scale. Cthulhu could work like that, though Ill take anything Lovecraft, I'd be very interested in seeing BHVR directly adapt Lovecraft based on the books and how they see them as a sort of representation for horror in literature.
Some other ideas I had for 'map based' killers:
The Horde - L4D you get zombies but mostly control the special infected, akin to L4D versus, theres no real 'iconic' special infected, they all are in their own way.
Deadites - Evil Dead
Murder Monkeys - Dark Deception
Thats all I really have right now.
