Alex Toolbox decreases efficency?

Wasn't a thing a few patches ago and it's also not listed in the description of the item.

Just equipped it to getthe sabo challenge afap done but ... Did they changed sth about that? Is that a bug?

And if it's an intended change then why?

    There's no mention in the patch notes of this change. I don't remember it having a item efficiency decrease tbh...

    Yea I already checked it but it's not in the ingame description. And I also run those boxes a few months ago and there was no efficiency debuff, but now there is?

    I always read the full patch notes and never read sth like that. And I also don't understand why this should be thing.

    Every toolbox has their item efficiency decreased by 50% while sabotaging a hook, and I'm pretty sure it has been this way since 3.6.0 when they nerfed/reworked the toolboxes.

    I just use the sabo perk now, the add on change made it too unreliable to bring your speedy saw add ons in solo queue.

    But that’s not what he’s referring to. Now when you use it turns red and gets used up faster as if the killer is running Overwhelming Presence. I used to be able to sabo 4 hooks after they reworked toolboxes. Now it’s only like 2 hooks unless you use charge add ons.
