I think a person with a rbt on their head should be incapacitated as a base part of her kit. These are the specifics on Incapacitated:

I see survivors doing gens with an rbt on regularly, ive seen survivors with an ACTIVE RBT ON DO GENS. This status effect seems tailor made for being part of her base power. Thoughts?

Honestly removing the timer completely and putting incapacitated effect might be an interesting food for thought. No more going after someone with an RBT until they die. Dying to an RBT is also frustrating for survivors so it should deal with that too.

Need to think more about it though. It's just an early idea. Could be faulty but don't see anything from the surface.

While this might be a good idea for a power in general, its a bad idea to a reveresed bear trap.. which is SUPPOSED to kill them.

It could be a cool idea for a future killer but they should do something else with the pig.

If they remove the head pop might be good to increase how long it takes to search a bit too at base. I wouldnt be opposed to that personally.

As it is most of the survivors i face give 0 shits about the rbt so i dont feel bad about running faulty timer + extra box (whatever its called).

So what might be a change is this:

Remove head pop, but now searching a box takes 25 seconds at base. Survivor is incapacitated while wearing an rbt. Change the boxes so that your chances of finding the key increase with each box (they boxes would work more like trappers traps instead of what they do now).

    Box 1 - 10%

    Box 2 - 25%

    Box 3 - 75%

    Box 5 - 100%

You can fill in gaps when extra boxes are created with 20% and 50% respectively.

i'd love that idea but i dont think its needed. I think just keeping the RTB active without the requirement of a gen popping would be healthier for the game due to it keeping up the anxiety factor with the timer and they still have a choice on how to deal with this, take it off or do something else. otherwise survivors will just do the boxes or help with something else without worry until someone else finishes a gen to activate the timer.

keep in mind that when people are working on gens with an active trap, they have a great chance of death if you start hairdressing them when they start searching boxes. You can punish them for ignoring the boxes heavily.

So it activates on unhook instead of gen being completed? I like that too.

Oh and in the very rare instances i saw someone doing a gen with an active rbt i made sure that person didnt escape 😂

basically yeah, still have it so it deactivates during a chase but having it activate on the unhook will make the RTB's actually do its job with delay to a greater effect while still giving the survivors a choice on what they want to do.

An alternative option I've seen suggested is take the Pig's pink add-on that hides Jigsaw Boxes until the Reverse Bear Trap activates (Rule set No. 2, I think) and make it base kit.

A Survivor can go hunting for boxes before the trap activates but will have a harder time doing so, which helps with stalling, and will be under more pressure because they can't even really start until a gen pops.

its a nice idea, my only concern is that as a player who values info, its a bit harder to keep tabs on survivors movements. but i think the pro outweighs the cons.
