The 5th Anniversary Event's Already Worse
And it hasn't even started yet. What's the point of this year's anniversary event that you were supposedly focusing more time and effort on when:
- You recycle pretty much everything from the 4th Anniversary.
- You give us skins that look very bland and lifeless (much like the event will be).
- And nothing actually new and exciting is in the anniversary to make it feel special.
How do you make something that's meant to be special feel so underwhelming before its release? Honestly, this feels more like the average Overwatch event rather than what a DbD event should be. Actually, Overwatch events give you more things to earn and play!
What's the deal here? Why won't the fifth anniversary event feel special? Why are you already making this year's anniversary event worse than last year's without it having even released?
What's the point of this anniversary event in the first place? Nothing's special, so nothing's appealing.

The festive decorations, daily discounted shrine, free original character and wraith + david skins (they look good + theyre on my 2 favourite characters so) seem to all point to it being an anniversary.
The game is broken as ######### right now. There's plenty to drag BHVR on right now. This isn't one of them.

Every time I think BHVR couldn't embarrass themselves more, they prove me wrong

I haven't been able to play many events and there are events that they've done that I wish I got to play, all I can say is from the events that I have been able to play, I've learned not to expect much from BHVR even if they say they'll make the next one bigger (it probably won't be much bigger if it is at all), so I'm kind of in a place where it's like I'm just happy they're doing something instead of nothing. Almost like I'm at peace with the fact that we never will have amazing over the top events. However, that being said, I wish they did do a little more instead of recycling basically 99.9% of last years event seeing how they made it sound like the anniversary and halloween were the times to playing dbd. (and the fact that they basically scrapped all the other events for much smaller ones if they even still exist)

Most likely the same thing will happen this year if they aren't working at the beginning of the event.
As Karu said, there's plenty of other major problems that have put Dead By Daylight in it's worst state since release that players are complaining about.

When BHVR says they're going to put more effort into events. I figure it means they're going to put work Into making the event special.
The anniversary event is nothing to write home about. Even last year it was boring.
But instead of making the event exciting, what they did was put effort into everything but the gameplay of the event. Not only that, but the stuff they are doing is just a variation of stuff they were already easily capable of doing.
They already rotate the shrine, and they already give the occassional login reward ( especially when they want to placate the community ).
This event is nothing special, just a CTRL + C - CTRL + V job with some extra stuff tacked on.
