The fact the recently Every survivor I've been matched with even though I save them multiple times has left me on my first hook at the end of a match. Killer isn't camping or anything and they just dart out of the gate. So If I am in your game and we are survivor together don't get hooked because I am leaving you up there. As I cannot take the chance of risking a hook state for someone who is just going to leave me up there.

Honestly its gotten really bad, ive seen survivors just kill other survivors they could easily save on a whim one of them I questioned had the excuse that why should they do anything else, and maybe the other survivors wouldn't do it in return. Like what kind of an excuse is that not to be nice to others.

Moral is this is a bad mindset to take and doesn't improve the experience for anyone

that or bring like kindred or something + open handed to really drive it in that the killer isn't camping so they should go for the save to help reduce frustration

I always prefer rescue my teamates than scape. Please don't give up on me!!! By the way I always use BT and DS so I will have the odds on my side to rescue ;)

Double edge sword kind of deal there, by not helping your team they won't be able to help you back. Also I doubt that this has happened to you every game.

I swear the number of times I get one hooked is ridiculous anymore. I get a teammate off the hook, get chased, and get left on the hook afterwards.

I understand. I have vowed the same thing before. Though I still often forget and go back in for a save to be burned again.

When I had chat turned on I used to ask why they left. The excuse was always “the killer pushed us out”. But he wouldn’t have pushed you out if you all didn’t run to the gate and wait for him to come over there, 4head.

Welp that's a terrible mindset, but at least you've outed yourself as the weak link on our teams on the forums so we know what to expect in advance.

Cool what's your name so I know to just leave you hanging when I see you in my lobby.

Why not chill out and accept that not everyone will leave you hanging in the first place just last night I went back for 2 hooked survivors at end game because bubba was camping in the end both of them and I got out so if you leave someone on hook because "another survivor left me in another match" then you're no better than a camping or slugging killer who uses the excuse "I was gen rushed last matched and the survivors were toxic". Stop bringing your hate for one set of survivors into a new match.

Yeah I hate this too, and try not to do this to others. There are exceptions though. If it’s endgame with NOED, and it’s my first hook, I often don’t expect a save. If the killer is camping I just suicide because I don’t want others wasting their time for a save that just gets them hooked as well.

When the situation is reversed I’ve sometimes have not been able to help someone who has helped me multiple times, but those are times where I hope the other understands it was pointless for me try. I.e. I’d just die for nothing because likely they’re still going to die also.

This pretty much sums up my experience yesterday. She ate all the spaghetti, then when she was done the killer came back and she farmed me without BT and I went down. :)

I feel you. I do the same and get done for it. Other times, it looks like they are not coming (NOED) and they do.

Great TEAM work to leave them behind, some survivors dont have the experience or back up of other team mates to do rescue. I have died saving randoms at end game and became great friends with them. You do your best and over time they will notice when and how they could of helped you back. It all comes down to experience in game.

I've always played this way, maybe that's why I don't get so frustrated with the game.

I do however get a lot of lovely messages so be prepared for that.

I had a match this morning with a TTV person and what was clearly entourage. The TTV person was PC but didn't say anything in the pre-game chat even though I tried to engage. I thought that odd, but not unprecedented. Then in the game I promptly did a safe rescue for that TTV person got them going. Then I went off and proceeded to do a long chase away from the others so they could do Generators.

Then, as I sat on the hook I saw all three ignore me and work Generators. I was annoyed that they would let me get to the 2nd Stage, but I figured if they get three more Generators up I would forgive it. Then one of them finished and went over and started healing someone just a short distance from me and let me die. :) It isn't just Randoms. I find that Randoms will try to help you. The problem is, and has always been, SWF. A 3-Person SWF doesn't care about you. They think of you as a disposable asset, useful for what you do and the diversion of it.

This treatment of the odd person on the team, in turn, breeds mistrust and a "every Survivor for him/herself" attitude that only worsens the problem. I kind of laughed it off. I thought about staying to chat in the End Game Chatter, but figured why bother. That person and entourage were garbage. Why would I give them more content? My point is you have to keep fighting the good fight. You have to go in and help those other Solos when you can. If we give in to the negative feedback attitude things will just get worse.

In EU high rank it's the opposite, 80% of the survs seems to forgot how to safe unhook and will bomb rush every hook with BT, even if the killer is right behind them. Thing is, most killers adepted to the new BT and just wait out the 12 secs or take the BT and tunnel you. That's why i still suggest using Kindred, esp. in solo q. It's the best information perk for solo survivors and gives you that information every time someone is on a hook. I can finish my gen and still go for a safe unhook without you getting into the next hook phase AND heal you after that. Just don't be a dick and do not try to kobe.

I recently started this to. I sometimes play with 1 person and recently we dominated a huntress but they caught the random and put them in basement. We went down getting him out and the randoms instead of healing just left us. Now noed/basement see you later.

then you will not pip and you will probably lose the match.

  • Fog_King

Yes, it sucks to have played well, not hooked until the end of the match, saved others, only to be left to die. If the killer is camping, well, there is a reason for the others to leave, but it's sad when they don't even try to check if the killer is camping or not.

If someone saved me in the match, if I can, I will try to save them in the end, unless they are being face camped or camped with NOED, but I have also been left to die on the hook with people escaping as soon as they can. Still, there are times where randoms surprise me, going out of their way for a save that could cost them the match if they are on the last hook, so, don't give up on randoms, there are some good ones out there too.

Its a team based game, if you refuse to help your teammates you will probably lose, the same way you lost all those matches because they refused to help you, you will become what you hate and will only be a detriment to your teammates in all of your future matches the same way your teammates were a detriment to you, you will contribute to solo queue being a nightmare.

I'm sorry this has happened to you so many times, I get the frustration. But do what you can to be the best teammate you can be! I was sandbagged by this David one time and I unhooked and healed him only for him and his friends to come to my hook and teabag me. I think it was just targeted at me for being the one random, but I still decided to be the mature one and just play the game and try to have fun. If this is super common for you, I would recommend deliverance with DS and resilience! It's one of my builds that allows me to kick mean teammates and killers butts!!!! I hope your next matches go well and remember to not let poor sportsmanship ruin your own sportsmanship :)!

Thats the reason i stopped doing it. Help to save someone from an swf (i was the random one), get hooked because i tanked a hit for him, and they dont even try to get my. I was just the odd one to be sacrificed. I might come to your aid if i am not at risk doing so, but i am not going to die in your stead. (however, there are games where you have good teammates before the end, people that take over chases if you are injured, and stuff like that. Those who have already shown to be teamplayers deserve my help even if i die trying.)

I feel like playing solo is 4v1 against survivors sometimes. The amount not sandbagging and aggro avoiding is just unreal. There's a ######### hook tally. But nah, unhooked dude will just scurry away as the two hooked guy gets tunneled out of the game.

Queue the "aww man I died on my first hook". Good. You deserve to die if you avoid aggro and let your teammates die early.

Some frustrating games this weekend. Hopefully I'll encounter some farming killers during the event, but doubtful.

The survivors I play against must've taken the same oath recently! They can never unhook their teammates in time if at all. I dunno what that's about, I'm not camping or anything.

Literally 8/10 matches. Im being chased at the end last gen pops gate opens im downed they run out. no joke. I am not complaining but I have learned my lesson on helping those who may just leave me behind in the end :)

The killer is going to camp you in that situation. I don't have BT and I'm not trading places with you, so I can't do much. So, yes, I'm leaving ASAP.

The people who leave you are the people you’re becoming. It’s a never ending cycle of toxicity that is down to the individual to end it.
