not so fast now, are you? challenge
highly confused by what this challenge means, i had a game where survivors snapped my traps and stepped in them and i reset the traps myself and had another survivor step in it but didn't finish the challenge am i doing something wrong how do you do it ? if it doesnt already it should count for traps they disarm

The entire challenge description needs to be deleted and redone. I thought they had to get trapped, escape, and trapped again, but that didn't work either.

What the #########. So is it saying that a survivor needs to disarm a bear trap and then Trapper needs to reset that same trap in hopes to catch a survivor back in it? I’m so confused lol.

more like survivor must get caught in this trap, escape it (with or without trapper "help"), then trapper need to reset it, and another survivor must get caught in this trap

When the say "catch" with Trapper it means you need to grab them from the trap, not hit & down them. The activate bit I'm lost though.

What do you mean? A large majority of people in Canada speak English, its only really in Quebec (which is where BHVR is stationed)

Yea, my issue is even before understanding what this means as someone who has never really played trapped.
Why is this blocking the killer only route to the end?
I will play the survivor stuff but man, I love these challenges and the tree, but then so many odd decisions made in it.

I was referring to them being in Quebec but I can't really elaborate any further without getting into politics. Still, the English on that rift challenge is so unnatural I think it would be less honorable if I didn't poke a little fun at them.

I tried to finish this challange but i just failed.
I did deal with survivors for farming. First one survivor destroyed my trap. And then i resetted trap and i catch one survivor on this trap. And then resetted it again. But nothing happened. Weirdiest challange ever.

So, according to the description, which people seem to be getting confused by, you have to have a Survivor set off a trap, then you have to reset the trap, and then have that same trap catch a Survivor.

Did you grab them out of trap or hit them? For the Trapper Achievement where you need to "catch 10 survivors in bear traps" you need to grab them out of the trap, I'm guessing catch here is the same thing.

Same. I think it’s just the eyes that are off. She’s supposed to look hot from RE 2 and BHVR didn’t do a great job at that.
Oh well I guess technically I’m P3ing Jill but still going to play as Claire and only a Claire. Hopefully they give legendary skins bloody clothes for prestige as well.

Oh have I been waiting for the day I get to talk about these horrible excuses for challenges (yes, there’s another one). They’re out of your control.
The first one (the one OP mentioned) will only work if you get lucky with your Survivors and they don’t pay attention to possible trap locations or you happen to push them to that same trap.
The second one isn’t as bad. You have to catch two Survivors in a trap while in a chase during a single game. To beat it, you have to hope that the Survivor runs toward one of your trapped areas or you can push them towards one. If the Survivor sees the trap there, then you have to do it all over again. Everything is on what the Survivor does, not the Killer, and that’s a problem.
Oh and I forgot to mention, the other Survivors are likely slamming the gens while you’re trying to complete these challenges, meaning you don’t have that much time to get them done.

With the power of context clues I'm assuming it wants you to
- Set a trap
- Have a survivor disable the trap
- reset the trap
- have a survivor step in the reset trap
The challenge makes more sense when you replace "activated by a survivor" with "deactivated by a survivor"

I reset it.
Another Survivor stepped into the same Trap at a later point.

It were two different Survivors (in fact, three different Survivors, seems like I am a Big Trapper Brain).
I would say the same works also, because the Challenge does not specify it has to be another Survivor. But I got it with different Survivors, so I cannot really check that.

I saw it in Polish translation and it was quite clear. The original English translation (the one I play on) is indeed quite freaking confusing.
From the Polish translation, it just means:
1) Catch a survivor in a bear trap (probably pick them out of it as usual)
2) reset the trap
3) Leave the trap in the same place... okay.
That's literally what there is in the translation. It doesn't mention to catch anymore Survivors into it again.

All it says to me is to catch a survivor in a trap, presumably hook them (although that’s a grey area, wording may allow for them to escape but then that’s not really getting “caught”), and then you reset the trap. And then maybe catch another one again? If that isn’t working then maybe the challenge is bugged like the basement hook one was.

Do you have to manually reset the traps or can you use the addon that resets random traps automatically?

Maybe this was already answered but i just completed this challange, and in the funniest way possible.
I got all 4 survivors in the same trap, and 1 survivor twice in the same trap reseting inbetween. So its for sure one of those two. And no, we werent farming 😂

Managed to finish this challenge on the first attempt. Make sure you aren't picking up the trap when you go to reset it.
Step 1: Set Trap
Step 2: Survivor Steps In Trap
Step 3: Reset Trap On Ground (WITHOUT PICKING IT UP)
Step 4: Get a Survivor To Step In That Same Trap
TIP: Iridescent Stone works for this challenge! You don't have to personally reset the trap yourself. Just make sure not to pick it up.
Had a Feng step in a trap over a pallet, and the trap eventually opened back up on it's own with Iridescent Stone. Had a Dwight step into the trap later that match, thus allowing the challenge to be completed.

For people that still dont know you gotta
-set a trap
-a survivor gets caught in this same trap
-reset the trap on the ground on the same spot (do NOT pick it up)
-have another survivor step into it
Thats how i got my challenge done at least

the problem is i did that and it didn't work , i also had survivors get trapped in a trap, get out , i reset the same trap and caught another survivor. also didn't give it to me so i'm not sure if it was bugged or i'm missing something.

I did it with the add-on and it worked. I basically just left the traps in likely locations, absolutely did not touch them again, and prayed that two survivors would step in one of them at some point. It took 2-3 matches, but it eventually happened.

I got it by letting a team farm as long as they did it. I set a trap, someone stepped in it and reset it. I didn't pick it up, just reset it. And I got it.

i literally did this twice with two traps in the same game, no luck. When i went to reset it changed its orientation that might break it.
