NOED is the only perk atm that truly promotes doing other things than gens when in a team with 4 efficient coordinated survivors able to loop you optimally several times through shack and jungle gyms away from currently worked-on gens, where they will almost always get away with 4 maybe even 5 hooks and dip even if you play it good.
It's a ######### perk rarely found in high rank games but it's pretty useful to cuck a team of good survivors focusings only on gens, even ignoring other hexes and getting off the game if you as a killer slightly overcommit. On the other hand it's a pretty good perk to secure a kill or two out of altruism plays when you ######### up completely in a game, but there's no way to balance it to avoid this and still keep it an useful endgame perk, having what, 5 or 6 endgame perks as killer and 4 of them including noed being actually acceptable yet unreliable most of the time, or at least such a low number decent perks at all compared to the excessive amount of useless super situational perks in the game.

No man....you're bad at the game. Its not just for noED, its for all hex perks in general. Don't just try to punch a bag of hay and pretend your hand hurts. We should only accept steel man arguments here.

Cleansing all the totems takes 70 seconds (5x14), not including travel time. For comparison, a single generator takes 80 seconds.

It's not hard to do. If you do all 5 and no Noed you get sweet sweet blood points and light bringer. So, still a win.

Survivors: Omg i can't stand noed, i shouldn't have to deal with the killer playing bad and winning cause of a perk.
Sensible People: Noed has many counters and you don't even need a perk to do it.
Survivors: NO! I DONT HAVE THE TIME TO DO ANYTHING BUT GENS! JUST NERF THE PERK AND NOT EXPECT ME TO ACTUALLY TRY!

You can typically call when a killer is gonna have noed, good killers dont use it cause they rarely get 5 gens done. And if 5 gens do get done there is 1-2 survivors left.
Noed is that staple “im bad” perk

It’s a crutch perk that rewards baaaaad killer players. It takes entire game hostage. Luckily you don’t see it hardly at all on ranks 1-6, but outside that baby killers love it. Sad.

The concept is:
- Fast route: Rush Gen, risk taking Noed.
- Long route: Do totems, and ensure Noed not happen
Noed exist alone is to apply mindset on survivors that they have to do Dull totems, which extend game time itself. If Noed is removed, everyone just rush gen and never touch a Dull totem. From there, the only way to extend the game time for Killer is Ruin/Undying/Pop/Thana.

I feel the same! I enjoy the unknown and anxiety of survivor. Noed and Devour add a little extra spice to the game that some people just do not appreciate.

Personally I’m not a fan of NOED- it’s a crutch. On the rare chance a good killer decides to use it, it’s overkill. Total buzzkill when you do everything right all game and legitimately worked hard to get objectives done and help teammates, only to go down in one shot. I hunt for totems, but once in a while you’ll get that hectic game where the killer applies a lot of pressure and everyone is scrambling to get stuff efficiently. No time for totems. Hooks are racking up and it’s not looking good, but somehow you & the team pull through for the last gen- then boom: NOED. Even still, I’m in the group that believe it shouldn’t be removed & shouldn’t be touched. Sometimes I have to laugh to myself when I see some of these killers and I’m like: “he seems like the NOED type of killer,” & then I’m right. Lol I’m sure some of you know what I mean.

Yet I, a solo survivor manage it nearly every game. A job made easier if my team actually deals with the totems they see. Also I reread your post. I see nothing that changes my point.

I'd love to see you upload survivor gameplay of you doing all 5 totems every round, losing the game because the generators weren't complete, and then finding out he didn't even have noed.
And something tells me that you're lying about doing all 5 dull totems every match in solo queue

Spook N Jukes already debated about it, so all I'm going to quote is this during that debate: "as long as exhaustion perks exists, NOED is fine. If exhaustion perks are removed from the game, NOED should be removed too and vise versa" or something like that,

Survivors complain about the NOED. They are advised to clean the totems. Survivors say they have no time for totems. If the survivors are not up to the totems, then the killer is doing his job well, but the survivors are not.
Noed spends the killer's perk slot, but survivors don't want to spend 1 perk slot against all hex totems. Although in the new chapter they were given a good perk against totems, and recently they upgraded the Small Game. Also, all totems are located in approximately the same areas.
Survivors simply cannot complain with such an arsenal of counter-tools.

NOED is as cheap for killers as dead hard is for survivors. IMHO both perks could hug each other and explode. One gives you one kill that you "don't deserve it" and the one gives one health state just cuz you pressed a key without any skill being required. Both are manageable, but are they fun in a match? Nop.

The problem with noed is that it gives bad killers undeserved kills. If it didn’t reward bad player no one would complain about it

for solo survivor its hard to count totem cleaned, i think to be fair NOED need to shown active during entire game not only during activation

Why not? Again, if the killer is that bad, you can surely cleanse some totems, or at least memorize their locations so you know where to look for NOED.

If NOED and 1000 BP per dull totem aren't enough to teach them that, nothing ever will be.

The counter hurts survivors more. Having to cleanse. every single totem. to even make sure there’s no chance of noed slows the game down immensely.
And it’s hurting your team if you don’t have inner strength or the killer doesn’t have noed.
Trying to do it as a solo survivor is practically impossible, especially on indoor maps.
You can get all 4 totems and leave 1 that’s hidden in a corner and boom everyone dies.
My change would be:
All dull totems when 5 generators are done turn into hex:noed. each totem you have is 1/2/3 tokens. you use a token every time you attack.
This would make it more manageable for survivors to deal with. And not give the killer an insta win if they only have one totem left.

With a killrush killer, there is hardly any time to do totems. While totem perks are helpful they are not that great. The new counterforce forces you to go completely across the map and you can interrupted by a killer.
Nobody gets totems done with a killer like Blight running slowdown perks. Killers can put so much pressure on the map that even the primary objective can't be done.
