What killer perks are good against injured survivors? Aka: no one is cleansing against Plague

I like to play Plague a lot, but survivors just aren't cleansing like they used to. Of course, I find them since it's easy to hear them, but I'm having trouble closing the loops without having corrupt purge available to me, other than the one I start with and any additional pools I can start with from add-ons.

I noticed that Blood Echo makes all injured survivors suffer from the exhausted status effect when I hook a survivor, but what other perks could I use that might either make it easier to M1 survivors (other than getting good, I'm already working on that, lol) or something that might make them cleanse more often?

The most obvious answer to your question is Thanatophobia.

Blood echo is rarely used outside of tournament environment, but it's kind of okay for plague/legion.

Another perk that benefits from people being injured is Stridor, but it's just useless on plague.

As for the easier M1s, bamboozle is a reasonable choice.

Overall, I'd suggest running 1/2 or 2/1 gen protection / detection perks, and thanatophobia for last slot.

Bamboozle is interesting! I didn't think of that, but you're right, I should look at perks that hinder survivors from vaulting, and maybe also pallet dropping.

I'm not 100% sure about Thanatophobia since survivors aren't cleansing and therefore going the entire game injured and broken, so they can't heal even if they wanted to unless they used one of my pools. But, I forgot that it also slows them down when they're repairing, sabotaging, and cleansing, up to 20%, which is nice. Luckily, I do already have it unlocked as a teachable since I also main Legion and like to use it with them, so I'll unlock it on her and see how it goes, thanks!

The new Nemesis perk named “Hysteria” could work well.

whenever you down an injured survivor, all other injured survivors are oblivious for 30 seconds!

it’s not a very strong perk, but it could work well depending how you use it!

Plague is one of the few killers where I think Thanatophobia actually has its merits. To add a less obvious suggestion to the list though: Tinkerer. Survivors will really have to think twice about not cleansing with Tinkerer in play since they might just randomly die to it if they choose to stay infected.

Bamboozle and Brutal Strength are the most solid chase perks, so if you are having trouble catching people without Corrupt Purge, try those. That said, Enduring plus Spirit Fury might be more what you're looking for in terms of chase perks - since any Spirit Fury proc is basically a guaranteed down against an injured survivor, survivors might be more willing to cleanse with those in play. Play With Your Food used to actually be pretty bonkers on Plague since Vile Purge did not consume tokens, but that has (un)fortunately changed now.

Blood Echo plus Mindbreaker pretty much nullify Exhaustion perks, certainly if survivors don't cleanse, but spending two slots on that is a little crazy.

Monitor & Abuse can be somewhat scary for infected survivors, you could give it a try anyway. Combine it with Infectious Fright for some good snowball potential if survivors decide to remain infected.

I think the best way to get survivors to cleanse is actually using the Apple add-ons that give you already-corrupted fountains from the get-go. Most random survivors will already cleanse once you activate your 1 free Corrupt Purge that you get every game, so if you activate a second or third one with the use of those add-ons, you will certainly get people to give you more corrupted fountains. Besides, 2-3 guaranteed activations are often enough to win a round with to begin with. And this also allows you to save perk slots in order to create fun builds such as Ruin, Undying, Tinkerer + Thanatophobia/Intervention/Weasel/Bamboozle.

On a related note: I think Black Incense should actually notify survivors that it is in play. Not only is it pretty BS that Plague gets wallhacks with this add-on without survivors being able to tell, but if survivors would be able to tell that it is in play it would be a sure-fire way to get them to cleanse.

I'd mostly go for thanatophobia, hysteria (haven't tried it personally), bamboozle. You really are kinda limited as Plague because of the nature of her power, but she can have some interesting combos.

Hysteria = Ear Disease on Plague.
