Trappers traps
He should start with all of them. Having to waste time just to pick up his traps across the whole map just to set up is by far the stupidest thing in this game.

Mmmmm giving Wraith a speed boost as a “buff” is the stupid thing in the game. You can do that to any killer. Devs were being lazy instead of creative. But I agree, trapper should start with all his traps.

It fits to wraith tho. How else would you have buffed him without reworking him?
3 -
Play more into his stealth. Take away the snarling & the foot steps. As soon as he stands still, make him invisible at any range. Make his silent bell add-on one tier lower (I forgot what tier it’s at) so he can use it more often. Maybe even make his bell sound all over the map regardless of location, as a default. Replace that add-on with something else. If he wants the speed, let him use the add-on but buff it to what his max is now with. Don’t just give him a speed boost as a default.

he is completely invisible while still, the snarling is to deny easy camping.

Yes.

absolutely.
knowing the devs, we can probaply expect a change like this within the next two to three decades.
at this point i really think they just hate Trapper.
they literally went out of their way to make sure trap escape RNG would stay in the game when they "reworked" it and now they went and fixed the bug that gave him tar bottle basekit, which makes his traps risiculously easy to spot again.

Why are people saying that Wraith is *OH MY GOD, HE IS SO STUPID GOOD NOW, HE IS SO FAST?? WOOOW*
Play Wraith yourself and see how bad he really is. Dude really isn't even that good, lol. He's dog water lol.
3 -
I played wraith before the buff and never after. All I’m saying is if the devs are going to buff a killer, BE CREATIVE. If Wraith is dog water, then Trickster is Garbage Truck Juice. So what, they’re going to give him a speed boost too in order to buff him? That’s lame. Any killer can get a speed boost and then automatically become viable.

Definitely something that should happen Or having them all spawn in the middle

Its not about he wasting time picking up and setting traps.
Its about hes force to setup trap at place he doesnt like so he can pickup another trap, because of carry 1 traps at a time.
Here is a image showing how better he is just by able to carry more traps. Start with all traps is over kill

Honestly as Trapper is my main killer, giving him all of his traps at the start could completely seal a survivor off and give them no chance to escape. Especially on indoor maps. Not that I wouldn't enjoy that immensely I can see why they make getting your traps a chore.
If they really wanna toss Trapper a hand make it harder to get out of the traps. I always catch some immersed survivor halfway across the map and they get out on the second attempt after I've abandoned my chase.
Cut me some slack.

Map is too large to travel, while 17% chance on 1st try isnt guarantee that trap can keep them in place for even 3sec. Remember they had 25% chance to escape everytime and many could escape in 2-3 tries. Now they have 34% & 50% at 2nd & 3rd try. This makes trap mostly only useful in chase when you're already close.
I gave my ideas that both Escaping & Disarming should giving skill check. So at least they have to work on it, rather than RNG decision

You’re joking….right?????

Killers shouldnt be that addoj dependent, and before he was.
Also his stealth is extremely useless once you go against semi decent survivors.

I am a resident troll/memelord but even with 3 traps you can completely shut down the shack. If you start with 5 you can nail down the Hawkins room with all the glass windows and still have two traps to lock down the upstairs gen. Lerys (especially with an iri stone) can have large swaths locked down especially in the rooms with the yellow benches if you don't put the obligatory traps in the one grass spot.
Imagine spawning in the exit gate area in Lerys and your boy the Trapper comes by and traps every single running route as soon as you spawn in. gg for you sir. I know this because I've done it.

Survivors can disarm traps..Ntm spot them easily. Especially using small game. If he had all of his traps he would be up there with bubba. A significant improvement.
0 -
Small game no more detect BearTraps. But for some reason Survivors know you're Trapper and bring in a Map. And in higher rank, there is always a survivor will follow you to disarm all your trap.

Honestly id give him 3 traps maximum but they regenerate with time but at a maximum of like 9 traps total in play? Not sure about total. But once he has them all set he then has to pick them up and they no longer regen. But you could never hold more than 3. This would help so you dont have to walk to the middle of nowhere but also limits his held traps for balance. He could also use some add on reworks.

Just give trapper 4-5 traps to start and maybe an add-on or two to increase the number by 1-2. The fact Trapper starts with nearly no power and has to walk around the map and pick his power up and then take time setting it up when it can easily be disarmed in the year 2021 is a travesty.
1 -
Its totally worth your time to walk around starting traps. Its about traps spawn way too far at the edge of the map, and carry 1 trap at a time make it extremely waste time to shift the field (Im talking about you setting up 2-3 traps around an area, then the Gen at that area is finish and from there your 2-3 traps are useless being there. Its time you need to shift your traps to other place, except you dont have time to travel 3 times for 3 traps because you can carry 1 trap)
Otherwise, Its totally worth your time to walk around starting traps.
Secondly, the RNG isnt on his side. You can never know you can grab trapped survivor on time, even at 10meter. I had times I was only 10m away from trapped survivor, another one blocked me, I slashed the blocker, then the trapped already escape.
He needs a ton of QoL rework, not simply buffing the number.
But I know the Devs fixing thing because changing the number, so lets see.

My ideas are not law. It was just an example of how to be creative with buffing. The devs have a team who can all pool their ideas to come up with something feasible. F it. Whenever a killer needs a buff, let’s just give him a speed boost. Problem solved.

You do know the difference between a rework and a simple buff? The speed buff was completly okey and needed. They dont always need to add something new.

If trapper did start out with all his traps, what's the counter to his stronger early game pressure?
0 -
only time i get caught in a trap is when im not paying attention and I suck. I know I suck everyone tells me so post game.

Still needing to walk around to set up and being disarm able easily. But it can still be much in instances so I'd rather he stars off with a few and the rest are in the middle.

jesus Christ keep moving the goal post. Ok Bud you’re absolutely right. Have a good day

i know that i am right.
Also dont call me ,,bud". We are not friends or anything like that.

I don't think he should start with all of them but they should all be active at the start of the game

i think you got serious problems if you get that mad at other peoples opinions.
Wraith is in a okeyish spot now THANKS to the speed buff. A stealth buff wouldnt have done anything noticable and everything else would be a rework and he wasnt meant to be reworked, not yet. For now they only wanted to BUFF him.
Google the difference between a buff and a rework. And like i said, the stealth ,,buff" you wanted to give to wraith wouldnt help at all and its not more creative than giving him a speed buff either. If you have problems facing him now you should work on your skill.
I am completely okey with the speed buff for wraith but that doesnt mean that this works for every killer.
You cant buff killers like Myers by giving them a speed buff that easiely, for that you would need to do something else like removing the time reach EW3 or something like that.
For clown it could be more bottles or something like that. It always depends what fits the best for the killer and for wraith it was the speed buff. The buff you suggested would only really work for camping and you dont want that. His stealth itself was fine in general, he only lacked something that helps him traverse the map and or help him a bit in chases and they gave him what he needed.

I’m not mad, I’m annoyed. Maybe you should “google the difference.” I already explained that and why, but I’ll have to leave that one alone since people like to run and tell trying to get others in trouble.
It really doesn’t matter what you believe the devs intentions were. Even if they put out a statement “we wanted to give Wraith a simple buff,” a speed boost wasn’t the best move. The complaints on here reflect that. They could have taken their time and did a “rework.” I already stated my ideas were not law. Again, the devs could have come up with creative ideas on their own. The community was not making a fuss about Wraith needing improvements. They took it upon themselves- it was one of those things “no one asked for.” They could have taken all the time they needed. But you do see threads and posts on here and reddit constantly asking for Clown, Trickster, & Nemesis to be better.
The example of Myers…double standard. He doesn’t have anti-loops either, yet it’s ok his power gets adjusted? That’s no different than adjusting Wraith’s stealth. What’s the point of playing a stealth character if not for the stealth? We already have speedsters in the game, and their speed is balanced by in game mechanics and can be punished by survivor movement. Wraith has a lunge that further enhances his speed buff after uncloaking. At least with Blight you have to manage your bounces properly and anticipate the survivors movement. Same with Billy, he needs to anticipate. He needs add ons for better turning and to reduce the punishment if he makes a mistake. The same can’t be said about Wraith. He can turn on a dime at base, and cut you off from windows and pallets- which survivors need. Forget about it if you’re on an out positioned gen in Shelter Woods. You’ll need Sprint Burst to give you a fighting chance. That’s definitely a free hit. Most killers it is anyway, but that’s absolutely guaranteed with him.
Don’t you worry about my skill, bud. Ahhh the classic “git gud” line, but just in disguise. Gotta love it. Always a “good” counter argument on the internet. I look at all the Spirit complaints on the net, and I totally get everyone’s frustration. But I don’t have a problem with her. At least with her you can make an attempt to break line of sight and try to keep her guessing. You can try to use structures and pallets to put distance between you and her. It’s very difficult, but at least it’s something. Wraith? There’s no line of sight breaking in the off chance you are able to get behind a wall. Why? Because of his see through walls add-on that pretty much every Wraith seems to run. Even before the “buff.” And here it is, you made that comment about my idea of add-ons a few days ago. Smh. So not only can he see through walls, he’s faster and cuts you off. No mind games. No 50/50’s. No skill required. Heaven help you if that Wraith has skill. I’d rather vs. a Spirit or a Nurse honestly.
Wraith traversed the map just fine before. He always moved quicker in cloak form, than all the other M1 killers.

This is a terrible idea he would be too OP if he started with all of his traps.
0 -
Maybe have his traps apply the Hindered status effect when stepped on? I feel like that would make sense and would make instant escapes less painful for him.
Right now it’s just: your leg just got crushed? Just sprint away on both feet like nothing happened.

Again, i dont want you to call me ,,bud".
I wont bother reading your whole wall of a text but do you really think no one asked for wraith buffs? So many people asked for wraith buffs for decaded and then again, there was NO need to buff his stealth. Only thing possibly buffing was his speed, otherwise they would have needed to add NEW stuff which then resulted in a Rework and he wasnt meant to reworked. You can complain all you want but that doesnt change the fact they didnt wanted to rework him but only buff him and i dont get why you get that mad for it.
I can only suggest you to play wraith yourself if you really have problems with him.
Also windows and pallets are your friends against him.
