When are the devs gonna get rid of NOED?
Can we pls just move on without NOED, there is no legitimate defence you can say to keep this perk, it literally rewards bad killers with free kills, it rewards them for not doing their objective in the first place, I've just had 2 games in a row (and probably hundreds in the past) where we get all the gens done and we're all good and the killer gets 1-3 kills cause of NOED.

They won't
There are more than enough counters in the game at this point to deal with NOED. Counter it with one of them or accept that you're always at the risk of having NOED bite you in the arse.

Noed is last of my worries in this unbalanced pile of bugs right now
45 -
No Ed needs a buff if anything, maybe they should make it so that it is active all game and not a hex perk? thoughts on this idea i have i think it is a very good idea
11 -
sounds like you feel entitled to an escape just because you and your team popped all the gens. If you died to NOED that's on the survivors for not doing totems.
22 -
Then stop speed running the gens and break the totems.
84 -
I hope they keep it the same, I really want to try it for myself. Ha ha ha... Would make the game a lot more fun, imo.
0 -
The devs are not going to cleanse totems for you.
You have the tools to deal with the problem. Use them.
54 -
No, because nothing should be flat out removed. And while it is an unhealthy perk there's counters.
1 -
I always laugh at the Noed + Blood warden combo
7 -
do you know on certain maps it could egit take you like 15-20 minutes to find 2-3 totems, nvm 5, I don't fancy playing 30-40 minute games
1 -
At least the match lasted to the end.
Only when Killers stop speed rushing kills.
5 -
I don't really want to spend 20 minutes looking for totems, boring gameplay, I have no problem with insta down perks like huanted grounds or devour hope, them insta downs are earned
1 -
that's why we have maps, detectives hunch, small game, and now counterforce.
21 -
Okily Dokily
Small game or Detective's hunch help take them right out.
10 -
It's not realistic to expect to be able to hold onto all 5 gens all the time. It's natural. But what's not natural is accepting defeat at that stage in the game. It's perfectly valid to have a perk to cater towards the end game just as it's perfectly valid to cater towards the early game.
If survivors want to be 8 hooked before being sacrificed, then they need to accept that NOED is a thing.
3 -
I find it pretty funny this post was only two days ago.
11 -
5 totems gets rid of it
3 -
There are 4 survivors.
15 -
By that logic we should also remove dead hard since it rewads you getting injured oh and no unbreakable because it rewads you getting downed. Don't forget ds which literally reward survivors for getting hooked.
See? That's you. That's how you sound.
38 -
Not making fun here, but how can it take 20 minutes to find 5 totems with 4 people? Even without detectives hunch, maps, counterforce, small game etc. Come on. This is hyperbole.
11 -
You now have not 1, not 2, but 3 perks to help you find and cleanse totems.
Not to mention maps, which help you find totems.
It is entirely your fault if you neglect bones and pay the price for it.
10 -
NOED can be pretty annoying as survivor, but there's nothing wrong with it. I get my little "hehe"s from running Head On and Flashbang, so the killer should have theirs too.
7 -
When are Survivors going to learn that they can cleanse totems?
It's literally possible for this perk to never activate, if Survivors actually bring items/perks that help them hunt totems. It's like some Survivors think they deserve 5 minute gen matches with absolutely no punishment.
7 -
OK then but let's also get rid of adrenaline to balance it out. They both require 5 generators to be completed and, if the killer is not running noed which not every killer does, gives a greater chance of escape.
I hear you say 'but that requires the survivors to complete 5 gens', noed requires the killer to lose 5 gens, or close hatch, so to me they are on par with each other. At least noed can be stopped before it's even begun.
3 -
JuSt Do BoNeS ,Kappa
3 -
Stop doing our objectives required to escape so we can give the killer more time to kill us doing an objective that doesn't power the exit gates? Ok...
Every time I try to cleanse all the totems half my team is hooked or dead by the time I find 3 or more of them.
1 -
They'll remove it when they get rid of Dead Hard, which is never
5 -
Maybe you got all the gens done so quickly because nobody was paying attention to totems?
They're not just optional bloodpoints, they're an objective you need to consider completing.
11 -
What's scary is despite all the tools they keep giving survivors. I can one day picture the devs cleansing totems for them -.-
1 -
Survivor Perk: Buy One Get One Free
Every time you complete a generator, a random totem is automatically cleansed.
7 -
It's not an objective.
Totems are not even in the tutorial. Totems are here for Hex perks and rare surv perks, period.
Noed is an old badly designed hex perk, and the time will come, for it to be nerfed.
8 -
Oh my god, im sorry dear survivor, instead of 5 minutes to do all gens, youll have to make it 6 minutes and cleanse the 5 totems together, i hope it wont be too much of a task with all your totem finderperks and maps
If you got time to complain about noed, you got time to do the totems
Beside th perk is weak
16 -
You just said it.
Totems are here for Hex perks.
NOED is a Hex perk.
Why don't you actually go and run NOED yourself as a killer.
50% of matches don't even reach EGC.
40% Do reach EGC but NOED is cleansed immediately.
10% you get to snowball with NOED.
9 -
Lmao, you are saying killers are bad for using noed, but if you lose to a bad killer what does that make you then? Super bad?
13 -
Considering how starved the devs are for new perks that aren't half ass copies of existing ones. I hope none of them read this lol
3 -
When will they take all exhaustion perks from us survivors?
Come on if you are lazy and can't do totems then killer won fair. It's your own fault.
2 -
One of my favorite things about this forum is that every killer main loses their mind at the mere mention of NOED. They throw all logic by the wayside and just defend it even though it contradicts every argument they make.
3 -
Yes, I said it : a badly designed hex perk.
It's a relic from the past. An ancient time where killers didnt have even 20% of the tools and optimization they have now.
It is an abuse against solo players, and especially against low ranks that have absolutely no incentive to do totems.
And yeah, I guess wont care that I play killer AND survivor equally. And never have I run Noed except when I was < 100 hours.
2 -
Then stop complaining about NOED if you won't spend the time to counter it. It's that simple.
Frankly, i don't understand why it's okay for survivors to stack all the second-chance perks they want to help cover for their mistakes but heavn-forbid the killer puts in a completely counter-able one.
15 -
It takes less than 30 seconds to cleanse a totem. The map spawns 5 totems in fairly easy to find spots. 4 survivors = noed shouldn't be a problem. If you keep running into noed then start cleansing totems. Get extra bloodpoints and noed is negated! I main survivor while playing a decent Amount of killer and noed is a non issue!
6 -
16 seconds to cleanse a totem.... 16 seconds of holding a button to get a free 1k points and progress on your Lightbringer emblem. You have no reason to NOT do totems than other freakin' laziness.
5 -
So when can the killer start cleansing totems to get rid of Adrenaline? Oh wait.
11 -
don't just look where your going look around for the bones
1 -
M favorite is NOED + Infectious fright + distressing
2 -
Ok im all in for the removal of NoeD but in exchange can we remove dead hard the perk reward being injure and doing mistake. We can remove borrow time too for the same reason the perk reward bad unhooking and free escape.
2 -
If you're in a SWF, perhaps. But in solo que it's jus tt not possible, the time waste is too great and that's assuming you're doing them by yourself and one of your teammates isn't wasting time looking for totems where you've already cleansed them, or worse you're looking for totems that have already been cleansed.
When the "counter" is stronger than the perk and the perk is a free kill, there's a huge problem.
1 -
learn to play, it's easier or withdraw
1 -
How about, the day they removed Hex: NOED; would be the day they removed every exhaustion perk in the game for Survivor!
Quit making a big deal about it, and learn to play around it; it not hard to go explore the map at every nook and corner, understandable dull totems locations, and then come back to it or destroy them immediately; instead of just straight up fixing gens and speed running the game! Big Difference, you always have a exhaustion perk available to you at any time (if not Exhausted); while Killers would have to worry about Hex perk being destroyed and gone; if all the totems are cleansed!
Or you can just simply make the smart decision, and abandon the down/hook Survivor; if you do not think you have a chance to find NOED and get everyone out alive! Sometimes, you just simply cannot win and save everyone in your matches!
2 -
I personally don’t like using NOED because it feels like a cheap way to get kills, but I think it is a decent and somewhat balanced way to punish survivors for ignoring a secondary objective in order to genrush. Especially against coordinated SWF teams, most killers are going to struggle against a genrushing strategy. The threat of NOED helps slow down the game a bit if survivors are forced to spend time on another objective, and if they ignore totems to slam out 5 gens right away then killer at least has a chance to secure a kill or two. The one thing that really sucks for solo Q survivors is no base kit totem counter, so you either have to use a perk slot on Small Game or just spend way too much much time looking for totems when they may already be gone.
2 -
The thing is, if NoED were 100% removed; Survivors would never do totems (Barring Hex: Ruin, which is obvious if it's in play).
The THREAT of NOED ensures Survivors slow down & cleanse totems, which buys Killer's time to kill. Of course, that is also WHY Survivors whine; they want to genrush as fast as possible, and anything counter to that goal is 'OP' and 'broken'.
