This game is soo survivor sided lol
i have 2000 hrs playing (80% killer and 20% survivor) i always thought that killers are in disvantage, so i decided to play survivor only until rank 1. Then i really confirmed that, it was such crazy that someone like me could loop rank 1 killers with infinites in some maps. this is a bit shocking lol
i don´t know how they can balance the game but this was a crazy experience

I've said it before and I'll say it again (and probably five thousand more times after that)
This game is killer dominant until you get to a certain point, then that bar swings so fast the other way you'll likely get a concussion from it
When you're a baby survivor, you are learning all the little tricks and trades of being a survivor. As you play more and more, you learn and figure out how to really take advantage of all these little tricks and trades. Eventually, once you've gotten a pretty good grasp of it, you start being able to make even the biggest baddest mother trucker killer out there look like a drunken toddler who had one too many juice boxes.
But all of those little tricks and trades can't really be removed because otherwise baby survivors would have no chance at all. I have no idea how you'd even begin to fix it unfortunately

this is a response i wanted to read, i think you´re right boi, if they "fix" this it would be impossible for new survivors. At first i was the typical survivor that runs without looking back

I don’t think so. Once you hit a certain level as killer only SWFs will really beat you if you are playing with strong builds. When I play meta pyramid head, meta Bubba, even meta clown the games are usually a slaughter. I’m not even using Nurse or Spirit.

In all fairness, this game is "split player" sided. If you play both killer and survivor in any decent amount you become more dangerous than a killer or survivor main. As a killer, you understand the tactics of survivors and understand where they'd go, what they'd do, etc a lot more than just playing killer. As a survivor, you understand the killers power better, how it can be used and how it is used, and all the nuances that come with it and thus the knowledge on lessening the impact.

Red Rank is just also filled with a LOT of survivors who probably don't really belong in Red Ranks. Maybe that's BHVRs way of balancing Red Ranks to make it viable for killers? 😅

That has less to do with balance and more to do with the fact that solo queue survivors are generally pretty dumb. They don't even understand when to spread out and when to group up.

Yes, i wanted to add that, the problem are SWF, if you are playing solo its a bit difficult to coordinate with teanmates.

Yeah but the killer powers these days are very strong and a lot of the maps are just barren. It doesn’t really matter how good the survivor is in a lot of cases. Sure you can load into Haddo or the game or something but then you can also load into like Azarovs resting place and have a 4 gen with 2 unsafe pallets to work with on one side of the map.

But the RNG God can also giveth just as quickly as you can make that same exact argument for the survivor side as I've had matches as the killer where it was a barren wasteland and therefore a slaughter and I've had matches where I'm pretty sure every single square contained those damn Double Ls and approx 5,000,0000,000 pallets...

And the strongest killers in the game don’t care about pallets for the most part. Nurse, Spirit, Phead, etc can get away with not kicking like 80% of the pallets in the game. Even clown barely has to kick anything but god pallets if he has good addons.
Im not a god tier gamer by any means but I still win like 95% of my killer games I want to say. Though to be fair I have over 4K hours so a lot of it is from map knowledge and decision making more than mechanical skills.
Most of the maps are pretty nerfed. It’s not like you will see 4x jungle gyms in a row on coldwind anymore. And then as survivor all it takes is 1 guy playing poorly and the other 3 die by default without really any input.

I'd like to think in my 1503 hours (since earlier that seems to be the metric of choice :D) that I'm at least quasi-decent at killer but it's certainly not impossible that I'm just not good at it :D
I can only speak to my personal experiences though, which is if you were to put 4 survivors who were of equal skill to the killer at Red Ranks, the survivors would run circles around the killer 9 times out of 10.
Fortunately I don't deal with 4 survivors of my equal level all that often as for whatever reason, there ALWAYS seems to be at least one useless teammate in the group (or if I'm playing Solo Survivor, all three other survivors are useless :D)...

The game is so easy for killers when they start, they don't know what to do when survivors are actually good. But if the game is so survivor sided, why have so many major changes lately benefitted killers? ECG, toolbox nerf along with all add ons, medkits and add ons nerfed, DS ruined, Small Game ruined, totems are harder to find, map reworks with windows removed, useless pallets, totems much harder to see, Wraith buff, Bubba buff...just to name a few things off the top of my head.

I have 1.5k hours on the game proof:
and I do think it's survivor sided when you get to purple ranks or red ranks but anything before that it's more killer sided. the maps and perks are always and will always be survivor sided. Lets just hope that the survivors at green rank start playing like it's red rank

that surprisingly checks out considering there are plenty of people who already sweat for the 4k or 4e. this is actually a tad concerning.

what about Freddy nerf, ruin nerf, franklins nerf, hillbilly nerf, totems are still awful for there placements, ds is still a problem, map reworks are now benefiting survivors in some cases with breakable walls requiring the killer to waste time, more infinites in the game now, unable to switch out killers when readying up for a game, the last really good killer was blight, yeah there's a lot of stuff benefitting survivors to.

The game is survivor-sided if the team is really good and the map is just unbalanced. Survivor meta can't be denied as bad as killers can.

Yep, some maps are seriusly unbalanced, and obviusly, if you find the typical SWF group that knows all the infinites in that maps its a nightmare

Why wouldn't you be able to loop killers with 2,000 hours? Some of the best survivors are killer mains. They know how to exploit a particular killers weakness because they're more familiar with that killer.
