Smash Hit is criminally underrated

Smash Hit is the exhaustion perk that you can run with another exhaustion perk. The key to Smash Hit's strength is that it never makes you exhausted unintentionally and it is VERY strong when it does get used. Killers do not expect multiple exhaustion perks and will play around the first exhaustion perk they see.

If you use Smash Hit first, the Killer will play around that as your exhaustion, which opens the door for completely unexpected Dead Hards or Balanced Landings and vice versa. Keeps your chases varied and the surprise factor usually allows you to use both perks in the exhaustion combo.

You can do that with Lithe, Balanced Landing, Head-on and Dead-Hard.

Honestly, I think Smash Hit needs a slight buff, since it's only usable when using a pallet to stun the killer. Since pallets are already so limited and all the other exhaustion perks are pretty much unlimited. I would say Smash Hit should active when you throw down a pallet either with or without a stun. Otherwise, every other exhaustion perk WAY outclasses it. It's just underwhelming.

I could see that. I do not think Smash Hit is a good stand alone exhaustion perk however, which I think OP is implying due to issues with certain maps having fewer pallets and map RNG.

Sprint Burst and Dead Hard do not have map dependencies.

At least in Red Ranks, killers are too good at the stutter step to make Smash Hit really all that useful as you rarely get to actually stun them.

Not to mention a few killers like Nurse or even Bubba who basically eliminates pallets completely unless something very strange happens...

I suppose when it works, it's probably one of the most effective exhaust perks for just plain getting away but in my experience, it just doesn't come into play very often.

I use it at Red Ranks. Most Killers don't fall for it twice but I pretty much always get one activation of Smash Hit.

The real key is running slightly past the pallet and backing up to stun them. Its a skill that you have to learn over time. A lot of Red Ranks know distances so well that they pre-drop when they know they can't make another loop around, so they never get stuns due to being super predictable.

it's underrated... But it sucks since you can only activate with pallets. Which you may only use it like 2 or 3 times realistically for most survivors. While with other perks you can use it theoretically infinitely. And not only that a lot of killers lately have been getting more better at dodging pallets stuns, since a lot while walk back when you are about to drop it.

i want use it, but i keep being matched with killers where SHIFT+W is better than drop the pallet.

Bubba / Demogorgon / Nemesis They spam the power 1 metter away tryning having a free break.

Huntress, if i drop the pallet i get hit, and i don't want to use it until she gets out of hatchets. and usually means she stop chasing.
