I Believe Hindered is Currently Bugged

Hearing that the Clown is still bugged with his bottles not slowing down survivors made me think of something. Nemesis came with the licker addon that says it increases the time survivors are hindered after being contaminated. As we have seen in game, when survivors are contaminated they aren't hindered in the slightest way.

I believe that when Nemesis was released the entirety of the hindered status effect became bugged. After all this would explain why survivors when contaminated gain a sprint burst, because if they were hindered along with the sprint burst it would allow them to gain some distance on Nemesis but not the ridiculous amount they get now. This also fits with Clowns bottles not hindering survivors because they became bugged when Nemesis was released.

I will look into it later, but I can't think of any other killer on the top of my head that uses the hindered status effect. It would be of great help to get other people to see what other killers can use the hindered effect and see if they work as intended. If they don't then that would confirm my theory on hindered being bugged and reporting that to dbd so that it can be fixed along with everything else.

I wonder if somehow the nemesis .25 (or whatever it is) % hindered status is applying to other killers? He gives the hindered status effect but its so little it may as well not be there, would make sense if they somehow applied this to the hindered status effect AS A WHOLE instead of just to nemesis. 🤔

    Stats:

    Hindered strength: -20 %

    Hindered duration: 0.25 seconds

    Tongue addon: +0.15 sec

That makes up to -20% speed for 0.4 seconds.

Anyone knows how long the hit sprint boost lasts for ?

I believe i saw a comparison of the distance gained after being hit, and contamination hits gave just a little less distance than regular hits. Its minimal though.

2 seconds. You're actually losing a lot of distance compared to if the killer uses their M1 attack.

I can confirm this. I played a bit of Freddy and his snares did not hinder the survivors the way they should. Survivors where still able to run at full speed sometimes but not always. The snares where very unreliable, sometimes they slowed and sometimes they did nothing. It was quiet annoying especialy on shack.

Nemesis does apply the Hindered effect on infection tentacle hits. You can see the status effect appear in the corner of the screen, but it disappear almost immediatly because it only last for 0.25 seconds. Licker Tongue only add 0.15 extra seconds, so its hard to notice any difference. There is no "bug" here, just a baffling number for the duration of the effect. It feels more like a mistake.

With Clown its just that the Hindered effect does not seem to be applied at all when survivors just hit the hedge of the cloud out when direclty hit with a bottle. They scream, but don't slow down. But if they go trough the cloud, the Hindered effect seem to work like normal.

They do not. If the survivor is standing still, then the debuff is applied. However, if running and directly hit, there seems to be only about 40% chance for them to be hindered, I've tested this thoroughly and found no reason as to why that is.

I don't know how things are after the latest patch but before it I saw someone playing against Blight with the add-on that hinders you and it didn't appear to be doing anything at all. I'm not aware of the numbers on that add-on but it honestly seemed like the survivor speed never changed. So it makes sense that the status effect in general got messed up.
