is the new struggle mechanic a buff to survivors?
you miss 3 skill checks you die but it's so easy getting those skill checks.
unlike the previous struggle where you die if you don't press fast enough or your finger slips.
Why did survivors get a huge buff like that?

You mean that 'buff' that doesn't break my controller on console?

Its a quality of life change not a buff. It also makes it harder suicide on hook since you have to miss 2 skillchecks and not just let go.
Also it saves lives of keyboards and controllers

Let's not exaggerate

You've really hit the bottom of the barrel with this post.
You have from time to time made interesting posts; but complaining about this just makes you look extremely petty...

It is a Buff to Killer. Survivors cannot kill themselves as fast as before, which makes it easier for the Killer to find the Hatch/last Survivor on the Hatch.

You seriously complain about survivor's struggle system...Do you really need that bit of kill from people sometimes slip finger?

I'm concerned how it builds and degrades, but I'd rather not have to button mash in order to use the mechanic. Hopefully it'll be as comfy as hook is.

So anyway I think this makes a much better post

survivors never die on hook anymore unless on purpose but their teammate will yank them off before they suicide.
It's a clear buff

they'll just DC instead which many survivors do to me to open the hatch

Oh god you're back

They're not supposed to "accidently" die on struggle because they make mistake on slip on finger which has nothing to do with skill.
The new one giving skill check which keep smaller, which I see people miss more than usual. Missed once lost a bunch to hook bar (20%?), missed twice = death.

I don’t mind the troll accounts, but can we not talk negatively about a system that allows disabled people to have an easier time playing the game?

Great to see you back again!
it was getting kinda boring here…
but for the question: no it’s just a QoL change for survivors and preventing instant hook suicides. This does not qualify as a buff at all
1 -
if that's why it was changed then that's fine.
But it makes it harder for me as a killer to secure easy kills now
maybe the skill check window should be smaller?

lol it doesn’t matter how small the skill check is, high rank survivors don’t care, which is why nobody runs overcharge
0 -
it's 2 skill checks and while struggling a moderate lag spike could kill you. QoL change, not buff.

If anything it was a buff for Killers, because they can no longer suicide easily in order for the last one to get hatch
0 -
survivors just DC now to open hatch
0 -
That's only because there is currently no DC penalty, otherwise they'd get a minimum 5 minutes penalty
And BTW, this has nothing to do with the struggle change, which objectively made it harder for survivors to give some one else hatch
Seriously, how many people you think died on hook because their finger slipped? If you relied on that to kill people you're playing at low ranks, and low rank survivors are very likely to miss one of the smaller skill checks during the struggle phase, which speeds up the sacrifice progress (BTW, people used to set up macros as well for the struggle phase, which is not possible anymore)
So, if you want to see it as a "Buff/nerf" thing instead of a QoL change like it was, it should be considered a "small buff" to killers
"Huge buff" 🤦♂️

I'm sorry but I'm going to close this thread, I never thought I would see complaints about something that was changed to assist our players who had issues with being able to spam buttons due to health issues.
I will re-iterate, this was a QoL change for accessibility reasons...not a buff or a nerf, and not intended to be a buff or a nerf either.
