Is the clown's pink bottle bug addressed yet?

Member Posts: 2,114

Two bugfix patches and it's still nowhere to be seen. Are the devs aware of it? Survivors seem to be recovering much faster from hindered than normal.

@Zeus if you find any issues with it, please let me know - thank you!

I have tested this and attempted to bump the thread I've made in Bug Reports twice now, so that we may prevent excess threads on the same issue, only to have my own comments repeatedly deleted. The issue is still there.

@WdR I'm hearing that it's fixed whilst the survivor is still - are you saying that it's not fixed if the survivor is running?

And is there any chance you can grab me a video so that I can show that? I do appreciate it if you can, I know it's a big ask

No can do with the video, apologies. However, what you've said is correct - A Survivor that is standing still receives all of the debuffs as of right now without any issues, so that's an improvement since the last patch. But a running Survivor that is directly hit is not always affected. From my fifteen minutes of repeated testing, the Survivor seems to receive the debuffs associated with a bottle hit only about 40% of the time, meaning that most of the time they simply keep on running without any hindrance, no slow, no screen distortion, nothing. I wasn't capable of finding any consistency in this, tried hitting the head, body, legs, it seems to be completely random.

The slowdown on entering the gas only activates if the gas has been there for more than around half a second.

probably added activation time on purple bottles. new balance for clown. maybe they should increase it to 2.5 seconds for trolls.

@MandyTalk I can confirm that Clown's bottles are somewhat fixed when you throw them over the running survivors. They get slowed down when they run into the gas.

But direct-hit with a bottle still seems to do next to nothing. The survivors will scream, but still not get slowed and additionally, they are capable of fast vaulting any window after getting directly hit with a bottle (mind you, even without queuing the vault action before getting hit by a bottle directly).

Tried playing as him and it seemed to be better than before but one thing I've noticed is the survivors should have to stay inside the cloud longer than usual to get hindered which wasn't the case before. I only tested him out in public matches btw.

Huh, i was wondering why clown feels so bad atm. i didnt even know he is bugged atm....

As someone pointed out in a different thread, the entire hindered status appears to be bugged as Freddy and Blight, with the hindering addon, suffer from inconsistency as well.

Just to add some more information, just now I've tested Freddy with a friend post-patch and snares seem to be working properly, in full duration. Though I've played him yesterday after the patch and I could swear there's been times they did not, however I've been unable to replicate that.
