Am I wasting my BP
So I've put 1.7mil into lvl 50 Kate.
I've gotten 24 cakes in total.
After hearing about the drop rates and the event items on survivors decreasing the chance. Ive been thinking should I be spending them on killer instead then.
The only factor is that I play survivor decently more than killer. So what should I do?

I got more than 30 cakes leveling up my Deathslinger and I didn't even reach level 50 yet.

I play killer more than survivor, so opposite to you. However I am dumping all mine into levelling up as many of my killers as possible and just one survivor.
I would advise you do the same but on the survivor side if that's the role you prefer. I would dump some into 2 of the killers you may want to play though, just to give you options.
Tldr my opinion is focus on survivor since that's your preferred role.

It's all about your perspective. I play both sides, but when I want to farm points I play killer with BBQ and a pudding or streamers. So I will be getting the cakes on Killers so when I want to get bloodpoints I will have hundreds of cakes stacked with bbq.

So should I:
A) Keep leveling my survivor main
B) Use my all my future BP on killer
C) Level up killer but after a while level up Kate aswell.

If you want alot of BP you should play killer, I get 150-190k in a single match depending on the number of cakes. Yesterday I had 194k on haddonfield with 4 cakes giving the last survivor hatch. I usually get 1-2 cakes per bloodweb.

100% you should. Grind cake on killer, after event you can use bps earned from cake to dump into survivor

The event heavily favors killers. They only have to find the crowns, survivors have to win, and survivors aren't even playing because they only care about finding crowns. Not to mention they get more cake in their bloodwebs.
I'm literally being chased for 5-8 minutes straight in some games and the gens don't get done because teammates are only looking for crowns. I'm not going to even start a gen anymore until I find a crown. I'm tired of winning games for people who do nothing.
Oh and when killers are AFK because they find their crowns and who cares, survivors still lose add ons

Don't forget that getting the crown makes you glow! Making it harder to evade the killer than usual 😁

And unless several people are bringing cakes, which is super rare in my experience so far, OP spent 1,700,000 on 24 cakes to double BP. If I escape, I usually get like 18,000-20,000. 24x19,000x2 =912,000 BP.
Why don't we ever get bloodhunts anymore?

Interesting - so maybe it has something to do with the chances of cakes being fixed per bloodweb and not nodes?

Play killer and farm with the survivors

Survivor has more event itens, that's why cakes spawn less
Nevertheless, that wasn't the case last year, so thats on BHVR
