Can someone explain Blast Mine users?
It seems pretty frequent in my Survivor games that people will use Blast Mine like Better Together. They're either using it randomly or trying to let other Survivors know where they are.
Doesn't seem like it gets saved to use right before the Killer is gonna interrupt a gen that much, which is what I assumed the use would be from reading the perk.

Well i use it like Better together and honestly it's a much better version of the perk itself. It let people know you are actually working on a gen, that if they want a ehal they can come here, and that if they see you get chased they know there is a gen there that is almost done.
The cooldown of the perk being so low i can also decide to use it as a weapon and 99% the gen, make the killer kick it and while he is blind, finish the gen.

You seem to have explained it yourself. Obviously the blind and stun is useful but revealing the aura of the gen to every survivor is a great bit of info to have, especially in solo queue. The fact that if the gen doesn't get kicked you get blast mine right back makes it so using it at any point isn't useless.

It really is just a better together. And if the killer doesnt kick it you get it back instantly.

This, it's two perks in one, highly versatile.

Blast Mine is fine.
The thing is like with the new Flashbang people are not used to use it. It will take a bit of time for them to figure out the best way to make the perk work.
However I see good potential here. Especialy in the late game and with a 3 gen. That blast mine can make it difficule for a Killer: Kick the Gen with Pop and risk a Blast Mine or chase the survivor and risk loosing the gen.

I use it when i have a challenge. when i use it randomly, it's in cases where someone is on the hook and I'm about to finish a gen. It's like saying "I'm here, i probably won't stop until i finish" in other cases it's when there are 3 or 2 gen left and i use it as a sign for them to come. many understand this information and coming to finish a gen, some are coming when they are injured so it's good if they don't have aura perks.
Sometimes it saves me from a chase, the killer kicks the gen and goes blind while I can hide further away.

Now I understand. I didn’t realize you got it back if the gen doesn’t get kicked so there’s no way to “waste” it

Eh it's a niche perk, most that use it probably just wanna get a good laugh.

It’s a top tier perk. Love using it.

To be completely honest, as someone that is beyond terrible with a flashlight. Blast Mine and Flashbang are my to-go for blinding challenges now and I couldn't be more content because I deemed those nearly impossible to ever complete (Blast Mine also counting as a stun is great too).
I think most people will use Blast Mine to tell other users about their location which is very useful for SoloQ. If the generator isn't interacted with during the lapse of Blast Mine, you get it back so it's really not wasted.

Blast mine doesn't run out once the timer ends, it just comes back to the survivor. Great info perk that can be seen from ANY distance, the fact that it also stuns killers for 5 seconds is just a cherry on top.

I love blast mines. Need those Killer Stun points :)

The highlighting is the cherry on top or more players would run Better Together. A five second stun that prevents a kick, so many killers kick again afterwards is a massive time kill.
