Im sorry but what is that?
Im aware that it was probably so the fps on the map isnt like 5 but this looks so bad.
You guys could of put like extreme thick fog to cover up the place like the old mist offerings we had back in the day.
Im more surprised as to how Capcom let you get away with this.
But i have to say the map is pretty nice even tho i got like fps drops when turning corners.

yeah that allways ruined the map for me a little (other then the maze that it is) it looks amazing inside but looking past the gates looks gross as heck

Seeing the amount of detail in the RPD Capcom probably only cared for the inside.I also got the impression they were very strict about this whole chapter too.

On the large majority of DbD maps, there's absolutely nothing beyond the trial's borders. The RPD doesn't have the same walls as, say Macmillan Estate, so it's more apparent there's nothing to see there. To my knowledge, this is the second map with any props beyond its borders at all. The other being Dead Dawg Saloon.

Arent the all the other maps just suspended on a floating island basically? Why does this make any difference, just because you can see it?

You do realize it's actually covered in the lore?
The Entity makes slices of the 'real world' (or worlds, plural) explicitly for the trials. Why would it make miles of crap no Survivor can get too?
It makes small arenas, blocks them off so Survivors have to power the gates, and then eats their hope. For all we know, this is deliberate for that aesthetic (and it helps cut down on load times by not having 'thick fog' or tons of out of bounds crud to load in)

Every map has nothing beyond the outer border. The fact that this map actually has buildings, cars and props outside the map is a first, and much more detail then every other map.

I know the lore and those buildings there dont look good at all when there are no streets.And they cant make streets because it would be just a waste of time when the players cant even interact with them.It will look better if there was just empty space outside the fences.
