Anyone else having an awful experience with the event?
Almost every single one of my matches have been painfully unfun or just extremely boring. If I play Survivor it's literally nothing but camping, tunneling, and slugging and as Killer it's usually toxic Survivors clicking and whatnot. Overall it just feels like a massive cake waste. What's the point in putting a cake offering if the Killer/Survivor tries to end the game as soon as possible?

That's honestly why I'm saving my cakes because atm people are just focused on getting crowns asap

No, I'm having a blast. And if I have games where I don't enjoy the tactics, well I'm getting like 5 times the points to endure it.
So, overall I am enjoying leveling up a few characters and stocking up on cakes.

it's bringing out the worst in everybody.
I get jaded trying to use my cakes and have fun against super tryhard players bringing 2 keys, haddonfield offerings with BNP+Balanced, so I turn around and say "two can play that game" and start playing Stridor Spirit with Ebony Mori which in turn makes survivors bitter and start bringing more keys and try hard load outs.
I don't know of any way to break the cycle. I've tried my damnedest to be the better person, but with the game's current performance, I'm too bitter about not being able to play the majority of the roster to be nice. Why pull my hair out trying to play Legion and 8 hook when I can put a hundredth of that effort into Spirit and get a guaranteed DC? At least then the negotiations for farming will commence!

Just came out of a match where a Huntress just downed someone and hovered over them to let them bleed out. She attacked anyone that got close, and would down him instantly if we managed to get him back up. We ended up having to leave without him, still bleeding on the ground for her pleasure.
Before that, it was a pretty standard camping Bubba.
Not all Killers have been like this, but it hasn't been the best. On the flip side, every match I've been in has either been REALLY bad players getting killed with 4 gens remaining, or a complete gen squad that gets everything done in 5 minutes. I haven't seen a "normal" match all day.

Loads of sweats and bully swf, usually duos, incredibly unfun at times...but to be fair it was already happening to me before the events so i'm not really surprised.
Idk how people dont get bored when playing this way?

I've had a pretty good day on killer and played 3 survivor games that I escaped from every time. Guess I'm lucky and not getting in these tunnel / camping games.

I didn't believe the posts on here about killers sweating ultra hard, but they are. There is no need to slug everyone at four gens. Let folks play the game.
I've been playing killer to alleviate it, but there's only so much one person can do.

You should just keep playing killer honestly, if the worst that's happening if you're being t-bagged and flashlight clicked at least you're able to play the match out in it's entirety for maximum points, unlike being tunneled out of the match if you're found first and what not.

the only time i had awful games during this event was when i was forced to play Twins for the crown.
and then play them again because you dont get the crown when you end the round as victor.
and the play them again because i got the memory of a flea and did the same mistake again.
also, essentially no cakes in the last two matches, so i didnt even get good BP from them.

Yeah during this event I've been playing a lot more Killer than survivor because despite the annoying toxicity I still win the match unless I'm playing a really bad Killer like Trickster or Trapper.

I'm just trying to get my crowns. Every time I play killer I've been letting anyone who's got the crown-sparkles escape (after i hook everyone at least twice). I still get my points and they can get their crowns. I would be playing killer more in the daytime but the queue times are pretty bad.
Unfortunately with survivor it hasn't been going as smoothly lol. Especially since the drop-rate of sacrificial cakes in my bloodwebs seems to be practically non-existent. Thankfully I only have three more survivors to get a crown on.

At this point I'm just happy I made it out with a few crowns. I just want one good game without freezing anytime a perk activates or the killer hits. Finding it hard to enjoy this event due to the poor optimization affecting the console community.

I think you are missig the point here, the cakes are not for you to have fun or to change the gameplay in any shape or form, no matter which side you are playing in, cakes are there only to give you extra points on top of normal matches.

Yup it's terrible as always one side doesn't want the other to get any points or come away with anything.

Honestly I've played killer and survivor and its just horrible. I'm not even bothering with the event I log in then I log out. It's no fun the toxicity is really obvious in this event

I've had a lot of bad games today. Bad matchmaking, inexperienced killers. Then there's a lot of killers facecamping and tunneling really hard as if they're in some kind of tournament. I don't normally use DS but I did today.
The game before last I also had a "teammate" sandbag me twice around the same loop. Killer nodded at him and I presume they thought they were going to farm me off the hook. Well, I didn't let it go that far...

This is precisely why I cannot wait for the offline bot matches with the mid chapter update. Nothing helps you detox from a sweaty toxic match more than being able to hop into a carefree game with bots.

Just because there is an event on people aren’t going to change the way they play if they don’t know how to.
most killers that camp and tunnel only know how to play that way.
same as urban evading gen rushers only know how to play that way.

Today I froze and got hit from afar then teleported into a wall, I think killers feel like they have no choice but to camp or tunnel, the game is still mostly unplayable because of the lag spikes.
BEhaviour really deserves the #DeadByBoycott but I've only bought 2 cosmetic skins and 2 original chapters in this poorly optimized game to begin with, if players stop buying cosmetics for a while then they will put more effort into fixing the game

My matches are usually pretty miserable as survivor, anyway, but yeah, there's more tunneling and slugging than usual. It really sucks since I can't do anything about it. The frame drops are so bad that I'm missing more skill checks than I'm hitting. And I certainly can't do chases properly, I'm almost never able to throw down a pallet in a chase, and I can't run tiles because it doesn't matter where I'm trying to run, where I actually run is into walls and corners. But killer queues have been long a lot of times during this event while survivor queues are fast, so I play survivor. Killers are waiting in long queues just to tunnel and slug and end the match super fast with no points. I don't get it.
I went against a Nemesis, I was the last survivor left. I was dead, I was fine with that, but for a few more points I tried to inject the vaccine. He wouldn't freakin' let me! He downed me. He would've gotten more points, too. Couldn't just let me have my dying wish of more BP for both of us, I was there at the chest already injecting myself I just needed literally one more second (possibly less), but he hit me twice to put me down.
Not like my matches when I play killer are good, either, and again part of that is because I can't do anything about it, the game is performing too badly to play for real. Unless the survivors actually want to farm or something, I can get maybe 8k to 11k BP by spamming my power and stuttering around the map, and the survivors all escape with about the same. I've actually seen survivors escape with fewer than 7k BP. How did they manage that without getting crows??
This event, man. Do both sides have to play like this when the performance has reached a new level of tanked? I've never had it so bad before that I couldn't hit skill checks.
The event is frustrating. People don't need to put in this much effort to make players miserable, the game's doing that more than enough on its own for those of us on console, but here we are. If I had any sort of chance to play when the other side is giving it their all, it'd be one thing, but I don't. The game's poor performance has taken away my defenses as survivor and offense as killer. Not to mention that efficient playing = fast and uninteractive. These quick matches are pointless. Game really needs a casual mode at the moment for those of us who are either A. casual or B. playing with frame drops and freezes at a stuttering 15fps.
I'm leveling up characters, and the characters I'm leveling up are the ones with the cakes, so they're the ones I'm playing as... which means I have absolutely crap for perks, certainly nothing useful for these kinds of matches. Not that there's a "30 fps" perk, anyway, but Unbreakable would be pretty handy. DS would be pointless, though, the game won't even let me hit normal skill checks.
Oh, and to that Doc who left me slugged so they could go find the hatch... I'm not sorry I found it first.

I'm getting all the same issues, but on top of them, I tend to only get 1 or 2 cakes per game. The first two days of the event were great, but now it just feels like a waste of time.

Events great for me but i feel like a jerk! Im only playing my p3 meg, and im working on getting all my killers p3
so im not using cakes unfortunately and yet consistently getting more blood points than even the killer! So for me its great but im sure my teammates hate me for not burning cakes
