Not entirely sure how well it would work, but there's a movie called The Furies that I watched earlier today. Basically, 8 women and 8 men are captured and forced to compete in a killing game. The men are forced into this game as killers, the women we'll simply refer to as survivors.

Each killer is assigned their own survivor that they need to keep alive in order to win the game; if their assigned survivor is killed, their head explodes (movie didn't show exactly how this happens, just that it does happen). The idea is that the killers have to hunt down survivors while protecting their assigned survivor if they find them; once they kill a different survivor, they eliminate whichever killer was assigned to that survivor.

Seems kind of complicated, but it's a fun idea in my opinion. I don't really think it'd work in dbd but I'd definitely be down to give it a try

Is there a point? We'll never get them, devs said so. We'd just be teasing ourselves with what we'd be missing...

I had an idea of a 4v4 (1 killer and 3 survivors on a team) mode that is similar to domination on COD.

So here is how it would work. There are seven generators, 3 red team gens, 3 blue team gens, and 1 neutral gen. The red and blue teams would have to try and repair the other team’s generators. Once a generator is repaired by a certain team, it becomes that teams color. The team that has more generators that are their color would begin to gain points. Additionally, survivors could “sabotage” the opposing team’s generators. Essentially, the generator would regress as the survivors are on it.

During this time, each team’s killer would be able to kick opposing gens and also down and hook the opposing team. I’m not sure if survivors would actually die in this mode, but if they did then whatever team’s survivors die first, that team loses. In the end, whatever team reaches the score limit first wins.

I don’t think there would be any perks in this mode, or maybe only select ones due to balancing.

Sorry if this was confusing to understand, but I think this could be somewhat competitive because it is not asymmetrical.

    Hardcore Mode:

Its meant to be a harder version of the trials. I dont think it would completely split the base because not everyone is going to be about this life.

Killer Side: Can only bring adept and general perks. No add ons above green. Standing within 8 meters of a hook for more than 4 seconds reveals your aura to all survivors, supercedes any stealth mechanic.

Survivor Side: Can only bring adept and general perks. Only items found in chests can be used (keys never spawn but higher rarity items are more common like purple med kit, commodius tool box etc).

Generators: Can never be done faster than 70 seconds but now work on a tiered completion basis every 25%. As an example, killer has Ruin, you get a generator to 30%, killer runs you off, the generator will not regress past 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% (this is hard capped for all regression perks including pop).

All genrators regress when not being worked on at the same rate they can be repaired, but still will not go below the tiers.

All maps spawn with 10 pallets total, no more no less.

Bloodpoint caps for all categories are increased from 8k to 12k.

I had a thought for a kind of endurance or endless hunt type thing. As a killer you are put into a map with survivors and play normally but whether they die or escape more survivors will be dropped in. Then, as a survivor, if you escape, you move to a new map with someone as a different killer. It’s totally flawed and probably wouldn’t work but what do I know, I’m typing this on the toilet.

That would be cool. Youd have to change the ways survivors escape. Maybe if you complete a gen a chest appears on the map that only you can open, then you have to find hatch. Both the hatch and chests move every minute or 2. Pallets respawn after 2 minutes but could be in a different spot.

The killer gets to pick the map (since he wont be leaving it) and when hes done playing he presses a switch, no more survivors are added, egc starts, survivors have 5 minutes to escape.

Could be fun. As survivor when you escape it just moves you to an existing game

I really dug that movie. How do you think the game would handle killers fighting eachother? They couldnt protect their survivor if they didnt

A game mode that's essentially identical in every way except that survivors have to find parts and fuel instead of holding a button to repair the generators.

    Random Lobby

    Earn 3x BP

If you queue up as survivor, you pick your survivor, then all four of your perks are randomized. You get no items to start the trial. You don't know your perks before you enter the game.

If you queue up as killer, you don't know what killer you'll be playing. All four of your perks are randomized. Your add-ons are randomized too.

No offerings allowed. Randomized perks are selected from ALL perks, not just the ones you have unlocked.

Honestly I think that's one of the big things that would prevent that game mode from existing. I really don't think dbd could handle killers trying to fight each other lol. I brought it up more because I thought it was a really cool concept
