I hope Killer queues will get better soon

I usually play Killer quite frequently and enjoyed it. I especially enjoy playing Billy since the past few days, but those long queues ruin everything. Now I am stuck with Survivor, at least I've got one of my favourite characters and my favourite Perks, Chris Redfield and Flashbang, making my Survivor games at least somewhat bearable. But not being able to play Killer for so long is just frustrating and forces me to take breaks because playing Survivor with solo teammates like usual is just frustrating after a while.

And people say it's probably because of the event. It was like that even before the event when Nemesis came out. Never where Killer queues that long when a new Killer got released. I remember when Trickster came out, people did play him but the queues for Killer were still fast, but now.... they just take far to long. I hope something happens and they get back to short again and when that happens I will probably be a Killer Main for at least a week.

I don’t want to play survivor until they put the DC penalty back on. Right now left behind key is my go-to since 90% of my survivor games don’t get to endgame. I’m at rank 8 as survivor and will get multiple brown rank lobbies back to back and it’s like why am I even playing this without a SWF?

It is kinda funny that they reworked all the characters to nerf key swapping and then put Leon into the game. He hides like 90% of the key in his model so it’s really easy to sneak them in. But then again plunders + appraisal and a coin offering basically guarantees a key too.

Regarding dc's I don't have a big problem with them, no one really dc's in my Survivor games... luckily. But having bad teammates match after match is just frustrating. Can't do gens, hide behind stuff, can't bodyblock a hit with Borrowed, you die on first hook and on top of that you get Killers who play like scumbags. I just wanna play Killer and chill a bit. Idk but I find Killer way more relaxing than Survivor.

Probably the best way I’ve heard this game described is that as a killer, you are in your own world. When you play survivor, you are entering someone else’s world. And it can be fun or boring depending on who they are.

There are so many advantages as Killer if you don't really care about pipping or ranking up, losing or winning. Just chasing Survivors and getting a ton of BP, constan action around tiles and stuff is just far more relaxing and fun, rather than holding M1 on gens, heals, chests, totems and the occasional chas... nevermind, it's a Stridor Spirit.

Wouldnt expect killer ques to get better till after the event, many fed up survivors jumping to killer because playing survivor is currently garbage.

yeah probably. But long queues shouldn't exist in the first place. Queues should always be at least semi fast. Before RE, Killer queues were pretty much instant and Survivor queues were good during the day and a bit longer during the evening/night.

Now Survivor queues are fast no matter what, and Killer queues take absolute ages.

Survivor for me is pretty much instant while Killer takes ages.

Multiple things have happened which could affect queue times, and they've occurred at about the same time. The RE chapter came out. People want to play the new killer. Also, the chapter tanked console performance, and the majority of console players play survivor. Fewer console players means fewer survivors, so the killer queue gets longer.

Now, we also have the event. Not only is it easier to get cakes on killers, but it's easier to earn BP as killer, too.

And so queues are royally [BAD WORD]ed.

Killer during events is always more popular. Add poor cake and item drop in blood webs and DC's, it's going to be bad. If they fix he cakes and items for survivors, it will get "some" better, but killer is always in higher demand during events. They get more BP and people want to go that route to either play or try and farm.
