Most Recent Perk That You Won't Use

Boss
Boss Member Posts: 13,616
What's the most recent Perk that you can't see yourself seriously use?

If it's not from the Resident Evil Chapter, then ya' gotta go back to the All-Kill Chapter, otherwise to the Binding of Kin Chapter, etc. etc.

Mine's Lethal Pursuer, i simply don't want a Perk for only 9 seconds.

I can't imagine myself using any of Nemesis' Perks seriously.

One is just kind of pathetic (Hysteria), one gives alright information at the start but does nothing else afterwards, and is outshined by another better perk (Lethal Pursuer), and the last makes you actively want to waste your time for a mediocre regression effect (Eruption).

Hysteria, Rookie Spirit, Bite the Bullet.

On the killer side, Hysteria. I can't really see any good use for it. Lethal Pursuer I'm pleasantly surprised by actually, and Eruption I can see build ideas for even if they won't be sweaty tryhard builds.

On the survivor side I don't use teachables and have no real attachment to Leon or Jill so...take your pick.

Coup the Crap. Never. You have to lose the game for some Tokens and those can be wasted easily.

All the others can be ok in meme builds or more serious builds but CTG is just... bad.

Hysteria actually isn’t that bad on killers who keep survivors injured easily. Plague, broken saw Bubba, Oni maybe. Not legion because it messes with your power too much.

A 2-3 man hysteria proc is pretty strong if you are doing it with an indoor map offering.

    hmm...

probaply the entirety of the Twins Perks.

Coup and Hoarder are horrible and Oppression isnt worth a slot imo.

Trickster has 3 amazing Perks, especially after the buff.

Nemesis has less great Perks, but they are still pretty usable.

Honestly, I'm set in my ways and haven't needed to use anything past the Stranger Things chapter. Sure, I acquired some of the new perks, but I really don't need or use any of them.

Hoarder is by far the most useless perk from recent patches oOo

    glitchboi Member Posts: 6,023

Hoarder is trash. Never gonna use that perk unless I'm memeing. However I'm fine with having meme perks in the game, gives variety.

    Rookie Spirit. Completely useless perk.

Hoarder is just fun though. Sometimes i like to run what i call grinch trapper. My only goal is to take away their items. Idc if they live 😂

I basically don't use any of the new perks I only use starstruck and smash hit from the all kill chapter and I don't own elodie or the twins and the only cool perk from that chapter is power struggle

Self Preservation for me, never used it outside of getting the adept.

Idk honestly a lot of really good players have been using it lately on streams. It doesn't matter that it only lasts 9 seconds the fact that you know exactly which generators people spawn on is insane. It's like complaining that Ruin only lasted for 1 or 2 gens, you have already gotten it's value by that time.

Oh yeah lethal pursuer is practically a meta perk. It’s so nuts on Ghostface to be stalking survivors 10~ seconds into the match.

I’ve had matches where I spawn in, walk 5 seconds, then start the stalking and someone is 99% and I’m closing in for the exposed hit before they have even been able to get to a gen.

Then boom instant pressure off the bat, ruin undying becomes a huge problem, etc etc

I feel like Discordance does the literally the same thing though, as generally 2 survivors spawn together and most likely hop on the nearest gen together. Plus you have that perk all game.

I love hysteria on my plague, actually get very good use out of it most games.

Oppression i don't see myself using now, not with Eruption on the scene with a much shorter cooldown.

Yeah they are both useful early game but you don’t know exactly where everyone is. Stalking killers can be in position for a stalk immediately, someone like Billy can kick the game off with a cross map saw. Huntress can start with a cross map hatchet, etc etc. I bet a god blight could open with an instadown with his addon. Nurse with range addons could probably start off instantly hitting someone (balanced killer btw).

Not including Killers as I'm a survivor main and Yun-Jin as I don't have her yet, I say Power Struggle. It's effect is too situational and even with Flip-Flop the killer isn't likely to slug long enough for it to work. Even if they do, I think I'd have more value with Unbreakable as I don't have to waste a pallet (and 2 perk slots) to save myself.

    As Killer: Hoarder.

    as Survivor: Self Preservation.

Coup de Grace: make it so it gets a token (can only save up to three at a time) when you hook a survivor or reverse it's incredibly pointless nerf

Oppression: as much as I love this perk, the cooldowm time totally kills and use it has

Hoarder: the fun part about it was nerfed (less rare items) and I honestly think it should not have a area limit, should also work when flashbangs are crafted

Appraisal: fun but I'd rather bring I item I want instead of a chance at decent one

Power struggle: just a waste of a perk slot (once a killer know you have it) you will never get to use it again , probably

No way out: most of the time survivors don't even notice it

Smashhit: lithe or balanced are just so much better , especially since pallet stuns don't work sometimes

Self-preservation: niche, only good for flashlight saves in my opinion, when a survivor gets down when ur close, it should give an additional effect (like no footstep noises)

Lethal persuer: whispers or even corrupt intervention works better in my opinion

Hysteria and eruption: to much setup for not enough value

Blastmine: fun but doesn't make much of a difference, mabye make it so a killer who kicks it loses some time to use pop or something.

Rookie spirit: I just don't see the use in this at all, tho it's probably the best gen tracking perk, if you know gen locations u won't need this

Bite the Bullet: also niche , nice that it covers other people's moans and groans , but the noise from healing rarely gets you slashed

Resurgence: second wind is my favorite perk, so this screws me over sometimes when other people use it, but most of the time you won't need it.

I don’t use Hoarder on any other killer except Twins because they seem to be the only ones to get real value out of it.

I also think power struggle is stupid.

Not really recent but I've never actually used undying before I don't like running more than 1 hex

Rookie Spirit. It's really not that useful.

Bite the Bullet and Counterforce. I'm not a totem hunting kinda person and Bite the Bullet I don't think does much considering how many people I see run Nurse's.

This. The sole exception for me would be Undying, which I used once or twice.

I could see it being helpful on RPD when the Killer has ruin....I guess?

I don't have the RE content so...

    Probably Smash Hit.

It's by far my least-favorite exhaustion perk, even over the current version of Balanced Landing. I've tried to use it a few times for fun, but I'm hard-pressed to pick this over Head On (which I think is more entertaining and has more options for synergy with other perks).

Though I'm not really a fan of any of Yun-Jin's perks.
