How are people dealing with frame drops on console?
Just curious because of how much they screw people over. It’s been really difficult to even land a hit with nemesis’s power because of them

For me its not as bad as the others, some trials are rally bad and some are normal.

Same. I really want to play but it's too frustrating at the moment. I know that they had an alert at the top of the forums saying they were investigating the issue, but the alert appears to be gone now.
Not sure when, or if, it'll be fixed.

Hope they extend the event and stuff since it's so hard to play. Like getting crowns fine but the extra BPs are the important part

I hope they extend the event and also the rift because its just unplayable. I cannot complete the challenges

I basically switch it on for the login bonus and maybe play a game or 2 to remind me how bad it is before playing something else.
I don't know if we're allowed to mention other games so I wont; but there's a ton of stuff out there atm that plays great and doesn't make you feel like a neglected afterthought.
I might force myself to play longer if my friends are playing, but they're on console too so its been a rarity for the last 3 or 4 weeks with how bad things are.

There might be a chance this won't be ever fixed. They removed the announcement about -performance issues being looked into- a few days ago and said they did it to put new announcement. Do you see anything yet?
I think it could be safe to say now that it is over. Wish I was wrong.

I am playing with Nemy since yesterday and I am doing almost fine. I have teleport lag issues as playing as survivor but I don't mind. I am not tryharding nowadays, just chill and farming bp. I hope they fix lag issues soon anyway.

It is so ridiculously incredibly bad on console. Killers walk slower than survivor to the point you lose chases. Ive chased someone in a circle around shack for several minutes while I watched them GAIN DISTANCE ON ME. Literally just running in a circle stuttering so badly that I lose distance. Im not even on a bad console, I have a One X and no problems with any other game.
Heres one of me phasing with spirit while moving slower than survivor the whole time.

At first I dealt with it by killing zombies as Nemesis or dying a lot as survivor. Now I put the game on an SSD and I'm enjoying a much smoother ride. Don't get me wrong, though, I'm pissed that I was desperate enough to go to Best Buy and purchase an SSD. BHVR needs to be compensating me with Auric Cells for this purchase. Not cool, guys, get this game freakin' fixed.

Tolerating it, does the frame drops that result in my hits missing piss me off? Yes they do
But I will say for sure that I won't give up yet, I am not defending bhvr but I still 'like' dbd

Playing survivor and acting as gen jockey/stealth expert. Hold w in chases except for very safe loops to maximize time.
Dont play killer currently.

I mainly go against red ranks these days as an 8 killer so I just hook when I can. Play mostly doc and ghostface cause hag is unplayable, teleporting is horrible at best, most of the time it lags and I get there 5 seconds after the trap is popped. Played some wraith and he seemed ok to play but also played legion and the game will just put me in frenzy without even touching the remote. Oh well, they arent fixing it and dont look like they will any time soon so unless you play another game you just get a 1K and laughed at mostly. Is anyone get flashlighted by people you cant see or in another room like me?

Killer is a real challenge on the PS4 right now.
I really hope that the problems will be fixed quickly.
So I'm playing more survivors and trying not to get involved in chases too often, because usually lags come in the most inconvenient situations.

Some matches are worse than others. Sometimes as killer attacks are missed and has a survivor sometimes it seems they stay still for a second or two in a chase, which results in getting hit or downed. I don't understand how a patch broke the game this bad on consoles and it's not only when facing Nemesis.

it’s so sad because a huge part of the player base is missing the extra bloodpoints just because the game is unplayable
let’s hope that they release a patch tomorrow fixing the problem (finally after almost a month)
but knowing bhvr that’s probably not gonna happen

I play a few games and then stop once it gets too unbearable. Usually like 5-8 games.

Easy not playing I played like 3 matches in those 20 days of console hell on dbd and I don't miss it at all

I honestly think that the frame drops are what are causing the jank hits on both ends ontop of the hit validation issues since games tie their logic to framerates, and with it being so chaotic... its how we are getting desyncs with everything.

Yesterday I tried Killer again after all: I chased a Yui around a palette, I made an attack, then came a really long lag. When I could move again, I was stunned by the pallet, which shouldn't have caught me at all, and I saw Yui disappear around the corner in the far distance.
I like to play killer and a lot, but right now it's almost unplayable.

Run Prove Thyself and WGLF. Focus on gens, rescues, and body blocks. Maximize your BPs every round so even if you do lose because of bull**** you get like 150K BPs with the anniversary cakes. Shrug
As Trickster I’ve been using Melodious Murder and Memento Blades. BBQ, Distressing, etc. The same as other killers with Bloodpoint boosts. Like with Nurse BBQ, Distressing, distance add ons, and that one add on that gives you extra devious points for phasing through people. Then I’ll camp/tunnel sweaty players to tempt their sweaty friends into being hooked on purpose. All so I get the BBQ stacks. Whatever I can do maximize Bloodpoints per round.
Then when the game is up and running all your characters are maxed out. Because I want the Bloodmoon, but the staggering makes it hard to complete the trials too. I want that moon, and I have a week to get it!!
