Survivor should stop unhooking in killer's face and take aggro if killer's comes back to the hook
Seriously the amount of time I've seen as a survivor unhooks me in front of the killer face, without BT and 50/50 chance that they take hit or just run away after that. There was even a game where I reached second stage because Nancy missed the opportunity to unhook me and just waited for spirit move away... Like who cares? Might as well just unhook me before I reach second stage but nope. In the end I got lucky that spirit didn't tunneled me out of the game, I thanked spirit for not killing me straight away and for killing Nancy that almost got me killed. As a killer, survivors either heal under hook (without We'll make it) or straight up unhooking in killer's face without BT and without taking aggro. Some survivors even get mad at me because I prefer turning the game into 1v3 instead of keeping it 1v4 (which is a disadvantage position to be in). Like come on man, killers are not forced to be generous or being some kind of charity program, if you genrush them they will be forced to tunnel someone's out or camp a stage these are a valid strategy to win games instead of 1 hooking each person.

Saving other survivors in front of the killer, even with BT, might be bad, if the survivor doesn't wait. For example, a killer hooks the survivor, turns away and 3 seconds later the survivor is saved from the hook. Of course the killer is going to come back and even if BT was used, the killer will probably go for the unhooked survivor. Even with BT, they will take a hit, run away and eventually get downed again. Like, why didn't the survivor with BT just wait for the killer to leave? If the killer doesn't, that's another story, but not even waiting for that to happen ends up screwing the saved survivor.
What I think is unfair is, for example, you get found right at the start, hurt, downed, hooked. Then someone saves you in front of the killer, you get chased, downed, hooked again. And then the same thing happens and the killer goes for you again and kills you. I mean, yes, you are the killer, but you can also see that that survivor had no time to do anything in the match and that his or her team is farming that survivor, so maybe just go for the other survivor the second time around? Sometimes the killers do that, sometimes they don't. Having been in the position to get almost no points and no chance to even run away, I can say it is not fun.

I know that BT isn't always a lifesaver but often times than not I prefer using BT or have survivors unhook me with BT. Like again in that Nancy situation if she had BT I wouldn't reach stage 2 and wouldn't be closer to death (being the weak link) and 12 seconds would be enough at least for me to get to the loop.

Had a game right now where I was hooked in a basement against a Nemesis. Cheryl unhooks me without BT and takes a window, I get downed and I'm on death hook while Cheryl only was hooked once. Honestly, if I had an option I would torture these potatoes myself for not running BT.

I am seeing so many "brilliant" people unhook in the face of the killer, since the event started. Wish there was an option, as the hooked survivor, to kick those doing it and down them instantly. Those people don't deserve anything else. And, most of the time, these geniuses don't even have BT and just crouchwalk through the entire map, for the whole match. Bots would be better, even if they were to be AFK.

You are right on one hand. On the other, sometimes its the only decision to unhook in front of the killer.
Why? Because you might be about to enter the struggle/death phase and the other survivors are at the other end of the map and wouldn´t reach you in time. Its the minor evil to unhook you, even without BT. Because you have at least a slight chance, that the killer doesn´t down you.

There's a reason why you just do gens if killer is camping, you don't unhook, you work on gens. Unhooking camped person is just a waste of time when you could' work on gen.

Exactly. Sometimes you have to roll the dice and hope the killer will go for the shiny new target.
Is it usually the smarter play? Sure, but it's a miserable experience for that survivor. Add to that the game actively punishes you for not unhooking and it becomes a rough choice.

One thing I really hate as survivor when after getting unhooked, killer comes back little bit later and the healthy idiot that unhooked me doesn't take a protection hit or just hides and killer goes after me again.

Yeah, as the killer, I always feel bad, but it's like, I genuinely do not know where the unhooker is and I see the guy who was just on hook. I would be nice enough to chase the other guy if he was around. Without him, I guess its time to "tunnel."

See, this is why I always run BT and We'll Make It together-- to cover my bases.
Killer's far? 8 second heal. That's the ideal circumstance. If it's just not an option (killer's camping, patrolling, teammate's about to hit the next stage), BT covers the rest.

ThiS is one of my biggest complaints about the solo que experience. Too many players do this. I don’t care if you have borrowed time, display some patience and let the killer go away. BT is for facecampers or in the case the killer does come back quickly after a safe hook attempt. BT wears off rather quickly and tunnelers will either wait it out, or hit you and still tunnel you. What was the point of that then, Meg??
