Chris punching a giant boulder...
and he just became cooler/sexy to me π
I've never played RE 5, never even knew anything about him, but he looks so badass here, that it makes me wanna play it!
I had to look this up because my friend told me about it and I didn't believe him π Sorry I'm just a RE student because I've only played the remakes and don't know much about the old games. Jill was always my favorite, but currently on a Chris new obsession. π

Oh believe me, you DO NOT wanna play RE5 without a second player, the AI partner is HORRENDOUS, you basically have to babysit her constantly, has no concept of ammo preservation, gets herself in danger all the time, gets stuck, is slow, etc.

Luckily I have a friend who is a huge RE fan and already claimed a spot to play with me then. π
Is this the only RE game with Co-op?

So you have never seen Chris during his depressed alcoholism stage, huh? Not as exciting as the Boulder, but just as important to the consistent characterization of Chris we know and love.

Honestly the more I hear about him, the more I wanna know. I'm sure there is a lot of the character's development I am not aware of yet. xD

RE6, Revelations and the Chronicle series have, Co-op i believe.

There's also RE6, another game with complete co-op support for its four campaigns. But as you can certainly imagine the reputation of that game is especially bad among the community. If I had to choose one good thing about it I'd say Leon's campaign.

6 has co-op and while everyone shits on it for being a terrible game, me and my buddy both really enjoyed it. There is also Operation Raccoon City that is, I think, up to 4 player co-op but i'm not sure if the online for that still works, never gave it a proper try.

Its because it fails to take advantage of its systems, like the combat one, and it deviated massively from the horror genre to be all about action.
And the story was terrible...

RE5 sucks though, ditching (survival) horror for action

Not an RE fan at all, but that boulder scene pushes Chris well into the superhuman realm. Pretty hard to treat him like a dude that is dealing with overwhelming odds when he can literally move around the weight of several stacked cars by punching it.

I love that, in RE Village, Heisenberg called Chris 'That bolder punching <censored>' π

Yes. Just prepare yourself though. After having played RE2 remake & RE3 remake, I found going back to RE6, RE5, and RE4 rather clunky.
But yeah. Chris is π₯π₯π₯. I just want to be squeezed in a tight vice bearhug with those massive arms and boulder shoulders.

I'm still not convinced that Chris's arms in RE5 aren't some sort of T-Virus mutation. π

Definitely an underrated RE. Not the best, but it had its moments. Just hate how this game entire development is making Chris trusting in his teammates again but RE6 throws him into depression again...

RE5 was not about trusting his teammate. It was about him not wanting a teammate because of his last one. (trying to stay spoiler free) He wanted to be solo so nothing bad happened to anyone else.
RE6 Chris's Story was about him having PTSD so bad that he blocked out the memories of what happened.
A slight difference, but a large one.
