How do I git gud? (Killer Edition)
I noticed I have a real problem getting more than one kill at ranks 9 or higher. Some killers work better than others, but it's especially bad with Demogorgon.
It's not so much that I am bad at handling him (that too), but I rather get the impression that I don't know what to do. It always seems to me like a lose-lose-situation.
That's why I collected videos of three matches that I just played in direct succession:
Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCRV3GwTJcQzNTc73jQ4sDS7lGNdOud2R
Never mind all the misses, getting stuck on debris and so on. Forget the non-existent mouse and keyboard skills. I want to know the moments where you went "Why is he doing THIS? Why not THAT?" I want to learn how to make DECISIONS, and I believe I can learn better if I experienced the situation myself and know what lead to my wrong decision, instead of seeing a random gameplay moment and hearing a pro's commentary on why he did what he did.
These also are the best games I have had all day, I ended some games with zero hooks. One team thought I was so pathetic that two of them waited for the collapse to kill them, so at least get some points.
Comment the videos directly (timestamps help) or leave your wisdom here, please.

So from what I'm getting, here are your issues.
1.) Sometimes you seem to prioritize breaking a pallet when you don't need to instead of ensuring that your target will go down. Ormond was a good example when they dropped the unsafe pallet and ran away while you broke it.
2.) You seem to respecting of pallets so they get some extra loops in
3.) You don't seem to slug, you always go for hooking, but if you want to maximize pressure you'll have to slug a person. That way someone isn't doing a generator and you're probably chasing someone else
4.) And finally, you don't seem to mind game too often, like changing your red stain position to make a survivor think you're going that way while you're actually moon walking towards their direction.
Other than that stuff, you seem pretty decent as a killer and you're just hit with bad luck

I'll be back shortly once I go through all of these. I'm an ex demo main so I should be able to help a bit I hope.

I think you really want a gen perk. Sloppy isn’t really much of a slowdown on someone like Demo. He can only apply it on a regular M1 unlike many killers who M2 into an M1 hit.
It’s also rendered worthless by many builds these days. I’ve only watched the start of the third game and you are 100% gonna need Ruin, Pop, or Corrupt if you want to be swapping targets like you are on Demo. Corrupt is great since you at least have some time to get a portal or two up. Pop allows you to actually hold a 3 gen which is key on weaker killers a lot of the time.
I also don’t like Nurses for the same reason, demo isn’t going to be doing any hit and run.
I notice you don’t come around many of the loops aiming the shred at the right time. Pretty much any time the survivor is going into a straight away you should threaten the shred. One time you came around the corner to a pallet and charged the shred after the survivor already telegraphed they were going to throw it.
It also kinda seems like you are just chasing whoever instead of finishing someone off, which is a no no on weaker killers without gen perks.
You might wanna consider chase perks as well. You chased the shack for a while around a gen that was already completed when there’s no reason to be on that side of the map anymore. Many times you actually ran away from the gens to go chase survivors and then didn’t commit which makes no sense.

Just watched the dead dawg game, you should really commit to chases more. Hitting people with sloppy and then walking away does nothing. You lost 3 gens for nothing basically.
You definitely don’t seem to respect pallets, which is good, but eat a ton of them which is bad without enduring.
When survivors are swarming the hook, you don’t want to walk forwards after you finish hooking someone. You want to moonwalk backwards in case they are hiding inside your model. The bill farmed that jake too easily.
You should also consider faking the shred more, it doesn’t seem like you do that so survivors were able to easily predict when to dodge.

Aight heres what I gained, using time stamp format so you know when.
Before I start, if I say dash, I mean shred.
Perks and add ons
Discordance and BBQ are both good, however replace Nurses for PGTW/Ruin and Sloppy for STBFL. Additionally, you should use rat liver as it's by far his best add on.
Game 1
1:24 No need to dash at there or at 1:30.
1:45 Dont mindgame, her choice wont be changed at that point and it ended up costing you some time.
3:35 Keep your eyes a bit more open, missed a free hit on a survivor to the left.
4:15 Should drop chase as Discordance notified you (you had a 90 second chase there).
5:30 Go for Meg, free hook and most pallets were dropped by her on that side.
6:30 Start making a "web" with your portals. Helps with the 3 gen to make more suprise approaches, helps with knowing where survivors are sneaking away, buys time if they close them and provides quicker transportation.
8:22+8:30 No need to dash there, you should know that you're not hitting them.
8:45 Picky one but you should break the pallet before the pick up.
9:14 Take your time, that's a free hit if you dont dash.
11:54 + 12:10 Again, no need to rush it, free hit if you decide not to dash.
Game 2
1:30 Free hit if you swing earlier, dont blame you for missing out though. Shouldve charged for longer after though for shack.
2:45 Shouldve mindgamed with your red stain.
3:25 Opposite of last game, you should be dashing as soon as he shows hes going for the pallet there.
5:15 Bait the BT, that was an obvious one from him that couldve been negated.
5:55 Open portal on upper floor, preferably to the left.
6:25 Drop chase earlier as Discordance notified you.
8:50 No need to commit to Leon, camp instead and go for a grab.
Game 3
1:15 No need to dash.
2:05 Drop chase, commiting for way too long.
2:50 go for the Discordance instead of Meg.
3:35 Again, dont dash. That's a free hit.
4:00 Meg was the worst choice there. Even if she didnt use it, she ran in the direction of shack while the others didnt.
5:30 Should've continued chasing. That's alot of free pressure as you can slug them all.
5:55 Should've continued with Jake, had a weak pallet or two nearby and that's all the middle pallets gone iirc once they're dropped. Probably wouldve only been able to use one as well.
6:15 That's quite...interesting...portal placement.
6:55 Go for the injured meg, that's a free quick down.
8:05 Chase Meg as she was running away from shack.
General
You need to learn when you should dash and when you should just attack. You missed many free hits as you decided to go for the dash when just a normal hit wouldve sufficed.
Place more portals! If placed right then they can help a ton, but you never had them set up early enough to make a lot of use out of them. It's an ability that works wonders with Discordance.

Learn red stain mindgames, learn how to play tiles. Know when to drop a chase. Those are the big 3 to me.

Ok, that's a lot, and I get that a lot of my mistakes have to do with target selection. This definitely helps, thank you!
The "interesting portal placement" was intended as a backup, since the other portal was active (I think) and could be removed, and I didn't want that to happen while I am on the other side of the map.

That actually makes a lot more sense now. Works well that it was near an exit gate (and allowed you to get a LOS of it quickly) so dont take that piece of advice specifically.

A way to "git gud" is to get out hit, chase and learn mind games and not babysit a survivor on a hook. There comes a time when you may need to babysit but its not when you're first starting out as killer.
The people who babysit end up ranking up then get destroyed when they face stronger survivors then they come on forums like this saying nerf survivor, nerf this perk, nerf that perk, survivor to strong, in leaving the game ect ect.
Get out in the fog and learn your skills.

Well I know you want decision making advice. But I have to say this demo is not a killer you can play without having some gen defense, I know that you have discordance. But it's not workable alone with demo, for example if you had ruin or pop you could have prevented 2 gens from being completed. I also noticed that keep looking when you were about to pick up, but you did not have to since you downed the person with a flashlight. My other suggestion would be to keep hooking in most scenarios like in the 3 clip, you keep slugging and if I'm being honest slugging only works in certain scenarios, or with certain killers. You probably would have gotten more downs if you hooked, and got them while they were rescuing.

Too lazy to watch, but here's a few tips:
- Don't hesitate to abandon a chase if you feel you're getting nowhere. If you do feel you're getting nowhere with a survivor, try to avoid chases with them. That doesn't mean don't pressure them, just dont enter a chase expecting to down them, and try to just keep them away from objectives. Eventually you'll find the one not good in a chase, and work from there. Eventually the team will unravel and eventually it becomes a situation where no matter how good they are, they have to eventually go down.
- try not to break pallets where you can feasibly quickly hit someone on either side. These pallets are called "unsafe" and are so because no matter what choice a survivor makes, it's 50/50 they'll get hit (more skewed to your side depending on how you play it though.
- If you do need to break a pallet, try either faking it (they may run off giving you time and distance) or zoning them (moving in such a way before breaking it so they move away from safety and either they either lose distance or run to a dead area of the map)
- Don't be afraid to slug if you don't have time. A down survivor still needs help from another survivor, so thats 2 survivors occupied. Chase one and that's 3 occupied, so only 1 can do gens, and if you do well or get lucky, you could both chase and threaten their gen, making all 4 survivors busy. This can save you a fair amount of time, as thats all the killer is, trying to slow, and eventually stop, the clock.
- Snowball. Even a single survivors death can cause a ######### 0k to become a 4k, it's that impactful. Taking the earlier example, a slugged/hooked survivor, a rescuer, and the chased. Now, however, theres no dwight on gens. The clock has stopped (and may be going backwards if the gens are regressing), A second survivors death is almost a guaranteed death sentence.
