"Looking in direction" for 'Small Game' and 'Revealing Ghost Face'
I've been playing with Small Game most of the time I play survivor to get a feel of where totems spawn. A few peculiarities I've noticed.
- When working on a generator, you could move the camera around and Small Game will activate based on where your camera is looking.
- When I am hooked, Small Game activates based on where the character is looking not where I move my camera. I've had the notification go off a few times no matter where I move my camera.
When I am running in one direction but I have my camera moved to a different location, Small Game activates based on where the character is looking, not where my camera is facing.
The 3rd bullet point is one I just found out about by happenstance, when I thought otherwise. I have to test this out to make sure it's correct.
Am I correct on how Small Game works as far as 'Looking in Direction" being different based on situation?

A big streamer stated that to reveal Ghost Face is based on the direction your camera is pointing, not where your character is looking. I was under the impression it was the other way around.
But Is he correct that that is how you reveal Ghost Face??

EDIT: Bullet 3 is wrong. I just tested it. Small Game works based on where you camera is facing, not where your character's BODY is facing.

So I just tested Bullet point 3. Small Game triggers based on where your camera is facing, not where your character's BODY is facing.
Whenever you move your camera, it moves your characters head relative to where your camera is facing. So yes, your character has to be looking at the totem for it to trigger.
Your body may be squared up right at the totem, but if you having your camera looking away, then it won't trigger.

For Bullet point 2, when you are hooked you can still move your camera position, but this doesn't change where you look since you are on the hook. So if there is a totem right in front of where you are hooked, it will keep on triggering.

So I guess the discrepancy and the confusion is from Bullet point 1. While you are interacting with a prop, such as doing a generator, healing a teammate, etc... you move your camera and it triggers Small Game, but your head is still fixated on doing the prob. Your character's head is not turned and looking at the totem.

Uggg.. the confusion. Well at least I figured it out.

Yes, and it's clear that this camera facing is what counts. I've revealed a Ghost Face many times while slugged and on hook. it's something I make a point to try to do as they already got me so I could be doing another survivor a favor. Definitely get Ghost Face as much in the center of your screen if he's stalking and you're down or on hook. What more can he do to you?

I used it recently and it's still reliant on camera angle.

Yeah I used this guys method on how to pinpoint find a totem. It's still have for me and I need practice.

For ghostface what did to practice was get in a xhase with him then practice moving the screen till i had it exactly right, now i can do it from pretty far while doing other stuff. Its funny to me now when im playing with people and they say "ghostface is IMPOSSIBLE TO REVEAL" meanwhile i knocked him and a totem out at the same time 😂
