Here's an idea, make the Nurse not suck.
What a grand idea! A killer who teleports through walls, misses her target and then bugs out for 3 seconds while they get away. Then we make her really, really slow so she can't hit anyone without using her terrible ability.
Why don't you make her not suck?
Or at least allow me to move the 22 freaking cakes off of her so I don't have to lose pips playing as the worst killer in the game.

Nurse has been bugged and left for dead almost 2 years now. The bugs actually hinder her in such a way that it keeps survivors from complaining... Which was the end goal of the devs. They refuse to fix or even mention her. Expect this thread to vanish.

Nurse is by far the least accessible killer in the game, but by no mean they're terrible. People who take the time to master her can literally do what they want with survivors. You have no rules or limitations. Only power.

Its kinda funny that people actually believe this. It's like the new survivors that come in complaining about how OP Trapper and Pig are.
If you want to know just how bad Nurse really is, go watch competitive DbD. Yes, it exists, yes, it's pretty stupid when people take it 100% seriously, but it's well worth a watch when they don't.

I mean, I understand that people who master her power can get hits basically whenever they need to. But at the same time, I COULD survive against Nurse IRL if she was forced to M1 because I walk faster than that. Rofl.
Her movement speed HAS to be some old change they made to cater to whiny survivors. There is no way it was always that way. No way in hell. I mean, it might have been, I don't actually know. It would shock me though.

Nurse is the most powerful killer in the game. It's not even a debate. She's also hard to get the hang of. The fact that you are bad at her doesn't mean she's bad.

Your normal killer is a street car. Slow, but easier to control.
Nurse is an F1 car. Incredibly hard to maintain control, but if you can she will outperform all the others.

Yes, she did move faster. She moved at approximately 4.1m/s, purely a bandaid for people that can't aim. And had 3 blinks. And 6 blinks with add-ons. And was changed at the request of everyone, because back then the "mains" didn't really exist and the term was mostly sarcastic and people just wanted to have fun, not get steamrolled trial after trial at the hands of the easiest, most spammable killer in the game.
Thankfully, they added her blink charges. Such a small change, yet such a massive increase to her skill floor.

Let's not forget before the blink charge change (but after the initial nerf to her speed) when OmegaBlink™ existed to continue holding the hands of awful Nurse players. And 3 blink no downside. And 4 blink no downside. And-

She was 115% before but it was changed quickly because her power is so absurd. Even being slower than survivors isn’t enough for her to be weak

The blink charges actually just limited her skill ceiling. She can’t take advantage of the player’s skill as much because the recharge makes it almost impossible to down multiple survivors. It also really hurt her map control and forces her to play more lame

I think I had 50 hours in this game when I first picked up Nurse (addonless) and started 4king my way to purple and red ranks.
Edit: I was one of the people that bitched and whined about her charge system when it was added. How wrong I was.

Also according to @Almo's stats she has the highest kill rate among the top% of players. Also according to the devs themselves they don't use only kill rate stats to determine how good a killer is.

You mean a perk that can be rendered ENTIRELY USELESS if survivors just actually get off gens for a second? DS being made into an actual ANTI TUNNEL perk is only a nerf to those who abused the fact you had a 1 minute immunity before. DS has been the strongest perk in the game SINCE RELEASE!

I feel bad for you because you’re just opening yourself up to a lot of ridicule.
Yes, Nurse is hard.
Yes, Nurse is buggy.
Yes, as you learn her you’re going to have some awful losses that will make you feel crappy.
And I know how crappy it feels to have bad matches.
But mark the words of others that have already said this before me: a master Nurse is a scary, hopeless killer to go against. It’s quite literally impossible to deal with a good Nurse, let alone a great Nurse, as a solo survivor. The only reason I don’t complain about Nurse the way I complain about Hag is because there is actually things a survivor can try to do in a chase against Nurse to try and avoid a hit (despite the low chance of success in juking a good Nurse).

Which only points to the fact of how broken her power is sometimes.
Its the sign of a good killer, regardless of their chosen killer, that can compensate for the characters weaknesses/downsides whilst managing to maximise utilising the characters strengths.
In the case of Nurse, because she bypasses every single mainstay of survivor gameplay, it really doesn’t matter how severe her drawbacks/compensations for a player that’s learned to manage them.
As survivor all you can hope for is to never be spotted by Nurse in the first place. That’s it. Against a good Nurse that’s your only defence.
Spotted? Game over.

I don't know why I would want to bother playing nurse in her current state. I'm sure she's fun to play if you're Otzdarva. I'm not, I can't break the laws of time and space to make crappy skill good.
It would be better to just rework her from the ground up.

Um...we greatly disagree here.
My cakes on Nurse made me play her a bit more. And while I am still at the stat of counting hits and not even hooks I archive during a game she is tons of fun so far.
I like Nurse. And while a good Nurse is scary it is only when you face a God Nurse that is unbeatable. Still if you play at that level you should win against a guy like me.

I'm not aware of when he said this. I'd like to see it. I'm only aware of the post they made some time ago that showed nurse as having the worst killrate by a wide margin both in all ranks and in red ranks. Much has changed since as I'm sure that Freddy probably isnt at the very top, but nothing has changed to make Nurse better.

As someone who has mained nurse for years I will honestly admit this , it does take a while to truly master it but once you do there's not a whole lot survivors can do against it other than turn it into a situation where the nurse has to guess what's happening like gaining a good amount of distance so the blinks are more drawn out but in that situation it's in the nurses best interest to switch targets or focus gens and a good nurse will always realize that and not get into a guessing game in the first place

Interesting. The way that is worded is convoluted. He makes it sound like he is saying that the top percent of players get the highest percent killrate on nurse when considering the top percent of players that get the highest percent of killrates. Well if you consider the players that have the highest killrates... then yeah they are going to have a high killrate. And the fact that its limited to the top 25% and nurse isnt the best like all people claim she is when considering the top % is pretty concerning lol.
I think I understand what he is saying but I think he worded it poorly in that its like he is saying that when you account for the richest 1% of people in the world they have the highest 25% of income when considering those that are in the 1% in terms of value in assets or money. Like yeah, the richest people have the most money? But in his statement I think what he is trying to say is that when you only consider the top 1% of players that have the best killrates, nurse is at the 25% highest killrate (or in the top 25%) when you consider players with the highest 1% killrate on their killers comparitively. If the highest 1% killrates are only at the 25% mark (or atleast thats as much information as he wants to give in that she is in the top 25% but could be at the top for all we know) despite nurse being regarded as the best killer, then she isnt the best considering that the best players arent completely dominating as most say that a god nurse will never lose considering she bypasses fundamental mechanics to avoid being caught by a killer in chase.

Not at all what he was saying. He was saying that if you take the average killrate of the top ~1% of Nurse players, and compare it to the top ~1% of all players of all other killers then Nurse is in the top 25% of all killers.
Considering other factors, such as the mass amount of bugs, large difficulty to playing her, and small Player sample size in comparison to killers like Spirit, it is incredibly impressive. And even if she isn't the best in the game according to this (because the only way to make her the best in the game is in theory where a killer will never ever miss a single blink or blink hit), she is still top 25% excluding Trickster and Nemesis since they weren't released yet.
So, yeah, nowhere near the worst in the game.

Thats pretty much exactly what I summed it up to be. Comparing the top 1% to the top 1% and Nurse is at the 25% mark where according to most she would be at the number 1.
If youre comparing essentially the best to the best at what they should do best, the Nurse isnt doing the best. The best of the best still cant do the best with the best.

Exactly what I'm saying. In practice it's impossible to get 100% accurate blinks due to factors outside of your control, but you can get pretty close, at which point she becomes the best in the game.

Dw I'm slowly getting to the cap of what I can and can't do with POTD, all I have to do is beat out the instinct to go for fun shots instead of ones I know I'll hit and I'll be 100% godtier there.
