Crossplay friends not showing up

I'm on xbox series x and my friend is on ps4, when we search for one another using the ID tags it shows up a list of ten users but none of them are us. Tried rebooting, turning crossplay off and back on, everything we can think of. But it seems to be that the search is bugged and we cannot play together :( I have other ps4 friends on my friends list who were added with no issue, and I match with crossplay survivors and killer's every match. Xbox settings are all in the green.

Would really like a fix :(

Not sure what else to add since it would just be a picture of 'zero results' lol
