If you could tell your solo Q teammates

If you had 1 chance to say something during your game to your other solo Q teammates what would it be?

Mine would be

“Take a hit”

I dunno if most solo Q’s are selfish or scared but l have died so many times where just one hit would get me a wiggle

And my fully healed solo Q teammate has been right there and just taken off.

"Just stay on the gen and finish it! We'll get it done before he comes" the amount of times we've lost a gen to pop goes the weasel rather than finishing it because my team mate who was repairing it with me runs off the second they hear a heart beat....

Take a hit would be the most common. Please use the pallet im laying between waiting for the killer to pick me up instead of standing behind that rock would be a close 2nd

I would love to tell them theres more than one person coming for me already.

I know Kindred would solve this but I like to run Bond instead cause it gives me more info whole match.

But yea, telling them either come unhook me or theres already 2 of you coming for me would save a lot of hair

"you do know what gens are, right?"

"oh yes I love being farmed, thank you very much"

The farming especially has tremendously increased since the event started but at the same time the gen issue has gotten a bit better

If I'm getting facecamped, do gens.

If the killer is chasing me to the exit gate and you decided to hang out there, at least take a hit.

Stop running Self Care and bring Borrowed Time/Kindred instead!

  • Jerek
    Jerek Member Posts: 92

Bring at least one information perk like kindred, bond, detective hunch, etc.

Otherwise everyone has no idea when to do gens or when to go for an unhook. Which can lead to unnecessary hook phase losses and gens simply never getting done.

What I usually say when I'm on the hook and see three of them creeping around the map...one of you do gens at least.

    Stop waiting to die!

This solo queuer is part of the team.

What's that? I haven't been hooked? Get out of the way, fool, it's my turn! I run BT, Kindred, and will absolutely die to rescue at EGC. LIVE FOR ME!!

  • VikingWilson
    VikingWilson Member Posts: 789

Truly, the solo queue experience (to include the SWF that has a solo queuer in the lobby) would be simple prompt bubbles. Things like, "Working on generator" or "Going for rescue" could really help balance out the disparity between SWF comms and lack of solo comms.

I play solo and when I get a team that seems to be a swf, it seems like I'm an afterthought to them. Sometimes I'll see them going out of their way to rescue time and time again, but when I get hooked, it's another story.

I guess I would say to the other survivors the same thing I saw others say. Please don't unhook me in front of the killer, or when the killer is hot on your tail. That's number one.

And number two, please stop running around leaving scratch marks like a maniac, while I'm trying to be careful. Run somewhere else, far away from me.

dont do all the corner gens first

  • Sherry
    Sherry Member Posts: 227

I have another one. Don't wait until I've run across the map to save you and then right before I reach you, you try to unhook yourself. If it works that one time (which I've had happen), then I've wasted my time and I think that's kind of selfish.

Take a hit for the "on-death-hook" Survivor, please. I mean, if the Survivor isn't me, it still applies. Number of times I was too far away to help, but saw the guy who never was hooked hiding instead of taking the aggro for the death hook one who was injured...

If I could add a second thing to say: don't wait near me with your flashlight to make a save. I very, very rarely see anyone doing a flashlight save on me. You wanna practice, all right. Here, one pro tip: Killers don't have (yet) eyes on the back of their head.

We don't need to run across the map to heal. Or even behind the nearest wall. Please, stop running away and wasting so much time.

I will not run across the map with you to heal.

Dont join me at the generator.

There are times where its welcome, but spreading out at the beginning is really helpful. The worst are people who dont do gens alone. They search 40-60 seconds for a gen with someone on it.

"Please don't farm me right now at 5 gens, friend". Most of these survivors have nubs for game sense and dust for game knowledge. I'm sure talking to them won't make a difference.

  • oxygen

Either save me, or don't. The "middle ground" of running near the hook and sitting there for a minute is not the play. And both are perfectly valid choices, I won't be mad if you leave me to die as long as you use the time for something useful.

Just started playing DBD on PC a few days ago (switched from Xbox) and It's been a nightmare trying to rank up. Please DO GENS and UNHOOK your teammates!!! I'm using kindred and they still leave me on the hook, lol. I'll loop the killer for 3 or 4 gens, then get left to die. Every. Single. Game. Yeah, I'm frustrated. lol

Still rank 13 because of this

Does anyone know how to take decent screenshots on Steam? I'm playing on ultra, but I think my screenshots look bad/blurry. Doesn't look like that in game. 🤷‍♂️

STOP SAVING ME IN FRONT OF THE KILLER IF YOU DO NOT HAVE BORROWED TIME! Run Borrowed TIme if you want to go for saves like that. Tonight I've faced nothing but sweaty killers, and my teammates only make it worse by going for saves RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE PROXY CAMPING KILLER INSTEAD OF OH I DON'T KNOW, MAYBE LEADING HIM AWAY! I know 3 gens got done during my chase. Three! That was good work. NOW MAYBE, JUST MAYBE WAIT UNTIL THE KILLER IS FAR ENOUGH FOR ME TO GET AWAY? SEEMS LIKE A GOOD IDEA, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU DO NOT HAVE BORROWED TIME. Bill is Free. You surely have his perk unlocked, and if you don't -- then WAIT UNTIL IT IS SAFE TO UNHOOK ME. SERIOUSLY. SERIOUSLY. NO, REALLY. PLEASE. FOR THE SAKE OF MY SANITY. DO NOT SAVE ME WITHOUT BT IF THE KILLER IS NEARBY. Especially when it happens twice in a row. I do NOT care if you brought cakes, and just want points. Screw your points. You don't deserve points when you do this.

    Sincerely, a Frustrated Player.

Wow, I could sit here all night, so I'll just pick a few:

"Rushing the hook makes things easy for the Killer"

"There is a Killer perk called 'Discordance'. Look it up, and then go work your own gen until we know it's not in use"

"Ruin is not(anymore)a reason to drop everything and hunt down totems"

'Don't struggle on your first hook. One of us will be there within 60'

"For Christ's sake, quit clicking your flashlight"

I would tell them 2 things.

waving your Arms on the hook means you're being camped not that I should come help you.

If you want me to heal you don't expect it out in the open where a killer has a clear shot at us.

Stop doing the outer most gens first, you make it incredibly difficult for everyone else towards the last couple of gens.
