It's good that they are acknowledging the problem and try to fix it.
Ypu should hold your breath for now though,we don't know if the fix we'll get will actually fix the problem.
Also, while the extension of the rift and event is nice we still have to play with absolutely awful performance that makes the game extremely frustrating right now.

I add the tweet to the discussion, in case some people don't have Instagram or have issues to open the link.

Yeah im more happy about that they have extended the Event becaus now we still have more time to Play it and get some BP eben whit the awful lag issues :)

Thank you this is good :)

Well they acknowledged it. Which for behavior is HUGE!!! But, we still need to hold our breath.

Fixing performance again? What, are they going to lower xbox one to 10% of 360p this time? They never actually do anything to the in game image other then mess with resolution scaling and call it a day.
I just force ran the game at 480p on a base ps4 and it was still more detailed and clearer then the base xbox one.

I mean this in the nicest possible way even though it is not nice at all:
We've been hearing this since 2019. Until there is actually a patch that comes out and you have time to actually get to play it to verify it actually works, I don't think I'd break out the confetti and trumpets just yet...

Until performance issues are fixed we haven't won anything.

it was long overdue for them to address this like this game has been absolutely unplayable for a so many people for MONTHS bc of the frame drops and glitches for console users. they only addressed it now that PC players were experiencing similar things bc of the new update

I don't know how extending the event benefits me when I can't play the game until it is fixed.
Can someone explain?
2 -
I wouldnt pop the champagne yet.

Actual picture of me, on the left, waiting for these issues to get fixed.

They acknowledged the problem 2 weeks ago and we still have no fix. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get the fix until the mid chapter. By then the event will be long over.
3 -
Roughly 4-5 thousand hours of jank console lag for me.. What’s another 5k?
;)

They actually said that the fix will be released with the mid chapter update (so probably the 27th of July).
1 -
Thats definitely a step forward, but until then, I won't celebrate yet.

They never said that. On the patch notes the part about console performance is listed under the "known issues" part. It might take even longer.

Yeah,that part confused me.
I remember Mandy explaining to us that the Devs are currently working on additional fixes that should come with the mid chapter update so i'm gonna assume that they just weren't able to put those fixes on the PTB and will have them ready with the live release

that's nice that BHVR is extending the event which was expected. And I'm gonna try to remain positive that they will be able to fix the performance issues console has been having.

I wouldn’t get too excited. This is normal for the devs. They acknowledge it but nothing really happens. This has been happening for years now.
I am glad that the event and Rift are extended though! I was just thinking about leveling up some of my Survivors today. Most of them are only level 10.

lol

I'm happy for you guys! I hope they fix it soon so you can enjoy the anniversary event too.

Im sick of BHVR strategy of breaking their own game, so when they fix it the players find the game way better.
They do the exact same thing every event and we ALL fall for it everytime as well.

It is great that they acknowledged the issue...in the mean time some killers are unplayable. Nemesis, at least for me, lags on every single action. Using or readying his power, pallets thrown, gens done, survivors hooked, vaccines used, etc. All of it lags the game for the killer. It also happens survivor side but not as frequent.

Well, the event is extended, so that is good, but the console problems remain and since they haven't fixed it, it means console players will have to keep playing the event with bad performance...

Happy to see the event extended. I'm currently leveling survivors from P3 Lv1 to P3 Max Perks.
Currently have 329 cakes total on my Leon, Laurie and Elodie. With this extension I should get my Yui, Bill, Yun-Jin and Nemesis to P3 Max Perks also.

Not to burst your bubble but until they actually fix the console version to work "as" good as the PC version, don't get your hopes up. Console version was a literal cash grab. They won't spend money to make it work as good as PC unless they have too. The devs are notorious for putting band aids over a problem instead of actually fixing it.

Given that you can make the console client run as smooth and as stable pc by just using a SSD, there is hope for the future, maybe. They are looking into the HDD bottle neck now that seems to cause all the problems so fingers crossed. I've been playing all week now with a perfect client without a single issue, even on nemesis who I near enough main now.
