just look for a totem between each generator you go to. If everyone gets a single totem per match, there would only be one left that could even spawn it. Bonus tip: If you're working on the last gen and theres a dull totem right next to it, do the gen first. Once it pops, if the totem lights up, you already found it and can immediately cleanse it.

Sure, but at this point it doesn't have to activate anymore cuz it took to long to do the gens and the killer got his kills. This "just do 5 totems" works only with organised swf groups. Solos will waste to much time if every single team mate hunts all 5 totems (which doesn't mean it's impossible tho, but u get the point hopefully). This game is about time efficiency, especially for the killer but also for survivors cuz there is only a limited amount of pallets to keep the killer busy. Once dead zones exists it's gg most of the time.Peanits said:Break totems. If you find all five before fixing all the generators, it'll never activate.6 -
Not to be rude but:

Try running Small Game, or Detective's hunch if you have it to help find totems.
Small game isn't locked behind anyone so you should get it sooner than later.
I feel like some of the points of the perk system are to either make you better at doing something, help you achieve a goal (find and break totems in this case), or help you do something you're not super great at, like finding and breaking totems.
Good news is once you find enough totems, you will probably have a good idea of where to look for them because there are only so many places it can spawn.
In outdoor maps 3 common points are right beside a spawn point.
Right beside the killer shack.
And on the hills, usually on the ramp.2 -

If u focus gens only obviously not, but if every single survivor goes out and hunts 5 totems first than yes. Use ur brain.1 -

This post is completely survivor sided1

Just cleanse totems, and you’ll get NOED: if there is any. And the exhaustion factor wouldn’t make any sense, considering you have the entire game to find said totems and cleanse.2

I'm doing just fine as solo survivor against noed. Just play the way like killer always has it. Either take your time and break totems (if your team dies during that you can have hatch easy) or be cautious at the end game and let someone else open the door/take the first suprise hit.

Am i the only one who thought at first that its supposed to be a buff that causes exhaustion on hit?1

If a survivor does totems as they see them and hides/leaves instead of BMing, no, it's not a problem or time issue. Use your brain in game.DwightsLifeMatters said:

To be honest, as a purely solo survivor I rarely have issues with NOED. then again I usually try to cleanse at least 1 totem per match, and keep track of where I see them when in chases or otherwise unable to touch them. Without NOED there would be even less risk of just pure gen rushing, so its existence helps pace the game a bit better. I'll take it vs longer gen repair times anyday.
