We need more "hard" survivors

Not that type of hard ya nasties, but the difficulty in survivors. As of right now, Bill and Laurie are the only survivors in the hard difficulty and it just feels weird. There should be a bit more. Also Idk why David was switched from hard to intermediate (this was a LONG time ago). I know difficulty doesn't really matter, but this is more of a QOL change for newer players and to make the difficulty system a bit more accurate.

I suggest making Cheryl a hard survivor. Her perks are far from beginner friendly and I don't even know why she's classified in the easy difficulty. Sure, soul guard will save you every once in a while, but her perks are highly situational and require decent-good coordination with the team. Blood pact for instance requires a specific playsyle for it to function and only shines in a coordinated team. Cheryl is designed for experienced/veteran players.

Another runner-up is Zarina. For the people is definitely a perk that requires precise timing, many conditions, and knowing whether it is needed or not. Since it harms Zarina with an additional harmful effect... yeah this is self-explanatory. Red Herring also takes practice to use and even then, the benefits it can give are very inconsistent. I don't think a beginner will enjoy using Zarina since her perks require a good amount of practice to get the most value.

EDIT: making some clarifications

    Males are hard.

    Females are easy.

Black characters (dark cosmetics) further decrease the difficulty.

Survivors are just skins. No one cares for their origin perks once you play this game for 20+ hours.

They should get rid of the difficulty rating altogether. I don't remember ever even using it as a guide and it's really wrong in the first place. Why is Bill hard? Literally all of his perks give passive abilities that don't require you to go out of your way. It doesn't make sense.

    I suppose I agree

But I'm not too passionate about it because the survivor difficulty ratings aren't really accurate.

Same with killers actually... Freddy is "hard" difficulty lol

And that's why I suggest making Cheryl and Zarina in the hard difficulty because their perks are more than just holding a button.

No it doesn't, but it's more of a QOL type change especially for newer players. It just also personally bothers me how the "hard" difficulty isn't really accurate with some of the survivors.

Difficulty really is kinda variable in this scenario, though. Like, is it difficult because their perks are hard to use? Because the times you can use them are risky? Because they're less effective?

Laurie's Hard rating makes sense. DS can easily be messed up or deactivated, Object can actually be an active detriment to you, and Sole Survivor is.. sole survivor. But Bills' hard rating makes less-- they're just insurance. If you're slugged, now you can get up. If you make a risky unhook, now it's okay. And Left Behind is Left Behind.

Dwight's easy rating makes sense because his perks are just flat boosts to teamwork and finding teammates. Ash's doesn't make a damn bit of sense. You basically have to throw the game to activate Mettle of Man AND it has a hefty downside, Flip Flop is borderline useless and only really useful with other perks, and Buckle Up is just useless.

It really just doesn't mean much.

Probably unrelated but I made a thread a month ago about my disagreement of killer difficulties, and tried to redo all of them. Here's the link to it: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/255713/killer-difficulties-my-version

Freddy is hard because of the original version. Bhvr dont upgrade the chart of the character so most of the info about a killer can be obselete i know Myers used to have a lot of error in the chart like his terror radius i think its still like that

Difficulty is a mixture of what you mentioned. Tbh, I only made this post because its so bothersome to me how the difficulty system is so out of place and since I'm an "organized" person I almost feel obligated to address it especially the lack of hard survivors lol. But yes I do see your point regarding how pointless it is which it is.

I have 4k hours and never have I ever have noticed Bill or even Freddy being "hard" lol. But like again, I just want this a bit more organized.

Preferably this game needs separate game modes based on that difficulty instead of each survivor and killer being easy or hard they need to re-adjust,re-arrange the game where if players are inexperienced, novice that they choose that difficulty where its at their level and easy and then to the medium, hard, core advanced players can select that level for both survivor and killer but novice level maps and matches are easy and medium, hardcore advanced maps and matches will be at the max. That would be a lot better to have this game more enjoyable and fun to meet everyones level of play.

Another “challenge” perk like No Mither would be cool.

Yeah, I'd love that. I wonder what they could come up with. Or more perks like Autodidact. Hinders you in the beginning but the more you get to use it, the stronger it becomes.

Yeah something that gives permanent Hindered, but faster repair speed? Maybe.

I doubt the devs would ever make any repair faster generator perks. My idea was 50% slower repair but 50% faster at every other things, like healing, cleansing totems etc, but that's probably also a bit too much

Ash should be hard since the mettle of man nerf tbh
