Why not keep the Shrine on the 24-hour cycle?
I have all the perks, so it doesn’t really affect me, but still......
There are so many perks out there now, and the Shrine doesn’t just pick the from licensed characters, nor is it prevented from repeating a perk a couple weeks later. I feel like the daily switch up is a fair way of helping people who are holding out for that one certain perk. Even with daily changes, it could still be quite a wait.
Now I understand that people may not have enough shards when the perk they want is finally available. So, I dunno, maybe make it a 48 hour cycle so they can grind out a few more? Or stick with 24 hours and hope that people learn to always save a minimum balance just in case today’s the day.
Anyway, I’ve said my piece.

I agree with everything that's being said here. More perks more often, nothing wrong with that. Maybe keep the low shard count as well to reduce the grind.

I'd be heart broken if there's a perk I really wanted but just missed out because I couldn't log in that day, etc.
Maybe do 48 or 72 hr turn over?

Because $$$. People will buy killers/survivors for the perks alone. If they rotate the shrine every 24h, a lot of people will have no reason to spend real money on the killers because the perk they want will show up sooner rather than later.
They're greedy, its the reason why they focus so much on cosmetics and less on gameplay/health of the game.
I do agree with you, 7 days is incredibly too long. But doubt it'll change.

Every day would be a bit much. Twice a week would be fantastic though. That and keeping the 1500 shard cost.

I waited for 10 months for Dance with me. Then I bought Kate, the perk on shrine 3 weeks later

The week long thing saved and screwed me as a beginner. It gave me enough time to earn 2k, but I wish it didn't, because then I would have gotten it for 1.5k. Less, actually, as I just caved and bought Leatherface regardless. So... Unlucky.

I could see 48 hour being nice, but on the same token, if the shrine changed every day, it would be much better for those not finding any new perks in the shrine. And now I'm realizing it is not that deep and it doesn't really matter that much. But yeah! I could see that working, too.

I was waiting for WGLF for almost a year, I level up david this event just for that perk and they put it into shrine 2 days later ...

If the shrine refreshes more frequently people are less likely to buy DLC as sometimes, most notably with Ash and Leatherface, people will buy a DLC for the perks.

Short answer: Less money for BHVR.
Longer answer: It would discourage people from buying DLCs of killers whose perks are good but the killer/survivors themselves not being appealing, thus it gives less money for the devs.

You waited that long for a single perk on a free character?! Would've taken 2 days or even less of playing killer to get David to lvl 30.

Well its a character that I will never play and the rest of his perks were in shrine before so yea...I did wait

They're not gonna do it because I imagine that DLC sales would plummet. After all, why buy a DLC character you don't care about for their perks, when you could wait a little while and eventually get the perk(s) you want in the shrine? It would be a great change for the health of the game but lord knows that the Devs don't give a damn about the health of the game.
