The territorial imperative buff this game needs

Territorial imperative is a mostly useless perk at this point. However, my fiancee has come up with the perfect buff for it. Keep in mind survivor mains she has never once played killer and only watches me play killer.

territorial should activate once a survivor finishes descending the stairs into basement. Once territorial procks not only does the killer receive a notification but the basement will be blocked for 15,25,35 seconds depending on tier. This will be blocked similar to how blood warden blocks the gates.

the difference is the killer can pass through into the basement

Does it deactivate when the survivor get hit? Is the perk available through out the whole trial? 35 seconds could be a free down on most maps and a potential ggez when dealing with basement saves.

I would actually love using this. Feels like that would make it fun but still not overly oppressive, since you'd have the range stipulation for it activating

Although it might need to be temporarily deactivated whenever someone is hooked in basement. Otherwise, Bubba would pretty much just win the game for free after it activates one time (since unhooker and unhookee could be trapped down there until Bubba returns and re-downs them)

You could hook in the basement and effectively rescues would become impossible.

Insidious basement Bubba's: time to replace Iron Grasp since buffed territorial imperative will do most of the work for me. ~

In all seriousness tho, Bubba's, the most malevolent kind, would latch onto this in a heartbeat.

This sounds like a Monstrous Shrine buff more than anything. Upon unhooking a survivor the basement stairs is blocked for 6 / 8 / 10 seconds.

Even so not sure I'd give it that change specifically.

It would have to have conditions like not procking if somebody is on the hook and does deactivate when getting hit. Probably needs a cooldown for balance etc.

Depend as if it still had its Minimum distance condition(Aka be X meters away from the basement to have it activate) then I do not see what's wrong with it.

Edit: Also the perk CANNOT activate while a survivor is in the basement or else you could trap any survivor who went down there forever by simply never going near the basement.

This has to be true for the perk to not cause the game to be held hostage so if someone's hooked down there the perk can't reactivate.

    Sounds absolutely rancid.

Wait, we need a Territorial Imperative buff?

I would remove the 32 meter radius from territorial

I like that idea but it would make basement saves impossible.

    Here is my tweak:

Activates whenever a survivor enters the basement (no proximity requirement). As soon as the perk activates windows and vaults of the shack are blocked by the entity for 40 seconds. Territorial Imparitive can only be activated every 80 seconds.

When basement isn't in shack then the perk is half useless but that would be the gamble.

That would make basement saves impossible. If you wanna make it so basement hooks cause broken status effect for X seconds after unhook or some other status effect...sure, but trapping survivors in the basement over and over is too much.

I prefer @Komrad_Karnage one, still giving free will but make it dangerous than being blocked there.

Not unless there's some sort of tell so that a good survivor doesn't get megafucked for not doing gens.

Absolutely not. The basement is simply a tool to support camping and tunnelling, any perks that help it perform this role are really, really bad for the game.

I'd rather see the entire basement removed and its perks reworked.
