You can run through the exit gates with an active RBT on your head?
So here's the question: Bug or no bug?
The situation was that I was having a fun meme game with some randoms and basically I decided to carry one with an active RBT on thier head right up to the barrier of the exit gates (bit of a dick move, on my half; I know).
Anyway, I was joyfully surprised to see that after they wiggled free; they just ran straight out.
I paid attention and yes, it was definitely active (had it on before the last gen popped and it was going nuts near the exit.)
So yeah, is this an Internet thing (like the server registered clearing the gates before it registered that the trap should have popped), bug or simply intentional?
Refer this to the bug reporting section if need be, but I've got a funny feeling that it was just the server registering the escape before the trap pop.

Depends if you dropped them past the trigger point, which seems to change every other update

If you dropped them right at the line of the exit it might have forced them out before registering the trap should have blown.

Yep, it was right at the line. But she definitely fell behind me because I heard her run past me to get to the exit...

That's actually something I've never thought about - is there a specific point in the gate that the trap will activate?

Yeah, at the moment it appears to be just a meter or so near the barrier to the gates.

Yes, afaik there seems to be one spefici point where, if crossed, an active trap pops. It used to be possible to drop a survivor past this point however this was fixed, though I guess it's back. It seems to be a specific point, too, and not an area past that point.

There seems to be, yes. Maybe if you get past that point whilst being carried, it fails to activate?
It certainly activates while crawling, walking or running past that point. 🤔

There's a point in the exit gate where the trap explodes. It does not explode at the entity blocker, but somewhere before. If the killer carries the survivor past that point, the trap doesn't explode. I think this is an intended mechanic, to avoid killers being able to kill a survivor by carrying them, which would be extremely stupid.

Yeah, the trap won't go off if you drop them in the Exit Gate area. Only if they manually walk/run/crawl into that area and try to leave. It's a deliberate design choice by the devs so the Pig can't just force a kill by carrying someone up to the Exit and dropping them there.
