How are you supposed to enjoy the game as any other killer besides Nurse or S tier killers?

You basically just get looped and pallet stunned for 5 minutes by any decent SWF if you aren't downing them in a few seconds with an S tier killer. You have to play every single tile 100% perfectly or they can restart it at any moment, and they're able to make a serious amount of mistakes before it punishes them. I just don't understand how people enjoy the lower tier killers against the sweaty survivors.

I have no problem doing well as clown in red ranks. Countering looping on most tiles isn’t difficult

You still have to deal with windows and pallets, I get stunned occasionally and lose people to a window as Nurse. It's not an impossible feat, it's just severely in her favor and not the survivors. That aside, maps with 10 god pallets become pretty much impossible to win on if survivors are competent and play them well. It takes enough time to break 1 or 2 of them as it does gens.

    This game is not balanced

I mean if all you enjoy is winning then I could see why you feel like that. But not every game goes like that tbh even as a rank 1 killer.

At the highest level only s tier killer can actually play the game, trying to play clown or nemesis for fun will not always go well for you. Had a game as nemesis and became frustrated trying to land his ability for fun. What I’m trying to say that only way to have fun is to smurf and play weaker killer and maybe you can have fun, but if you wanna be red rank you gotta sweat and try your hardest to actually think about having fun

It depends on what is enjoyable to you.

If the only way you can find enjoyment is through 3 and 4k games, I don't know what you tell you.

In the past few months I was getting extremely frustrated with playing killer, sometimes barely getting a few hooks let alone kills. I would get a small share of 4k games with an ok number of 2-3 kill games, but often I was getting pounded into the ground as killer.

But I discovered something with this event:

When the event started, I decided I would try not to sacrifice anyone so that everyone could get their crowns and the maximum value out of their cakes. I'm not saying I would throw the match, but if I got anyone to death hook I would leave them on the ground to be healed or let them wiggle out. After hooking someone, I would get as far from the hook as possible to make sure they could be rescued.

What I discovered is that I enjoyed playing killer a lot more when I really didn't care what the outcome of the match was. When the event ends, I plan to try to keep the same attitude (except for avoiding that 3rd hook).

Well, I play for fun, which means my rank is a lot lower. I am rank 9, but still play against plenty of reds, twitch, and swf. I usually give it a try, but once it is obvious I will not get a hit, I usually just look for a different survivor to chase. Since I am low ranked, rarely is the only lobby a sweatfest.

If you are a rank 1 or something, you hold expect mostly survivors that play like you.

I’ve just learned to accept you can’t (against elite SWF). I do pretty damn well with a range of killers that aren’t highly regarded, but sometimes you just get those teams that are so well coordinated, it’s quite genuinely impossible to keep up. The game was never designed around that degree of survivor coordination. It’s horror. There’s supposed to be an amount of unknown/unpredictability that naturally slows the game down because of times where survivors are expected to be cautious because they’re not 100% aware of what’s occurring at any given time. Teams like we’re describing completely mutilate the core ideas of what makes horror “horror”.

So i’ve just accepted it. If they’re only interested in repair simulator, making the game super boring for me, and a complete waste of my time queuing up (especially with current killer wait times), I’m gonna make it boring for them by waiting by a gate switch and refusing to interact further. I’m hoping that survivors come across this enough, and get bored enough of the game, they’ll stop playing DBD altogether.

Because we’ll never see killers buffed to a point to cope with that in a reliable, regular way. Most SWF are very casual and just want to hang with friends, and solos will just never stand a chance (if killers were buffed) because these players are playing the game in its intended way.

You can't win outside S tier? Who's fault is that? Game? Swf? No it's yours fault because obviously you need to practice more any killer is available in any rank and everyone else saying otherwise is full of bs

I don't know why every killer main has to have a 4k in order to have fun. I really just do not understand the mentality.

I'm having a blast with Nemesis in red ranks, even if I don't always 4k. A lot of this game is RNG shenanigans, and I just accept what it is.

Looping really doesn't seem as good as it used to be to me anymore.

    And i'm a Wraith main who doesn't do hit-and-runs.

Well the majority of this game is Solo Q. SWFs are uncommon with even fewer being depip squads. And since the majority of this game is Solo Q pretty much all killers can perform well. We do know what happens when Legion faces a depip SWF they loose. But, as long as CCCs (Corner Care Claudettes) exist they'll make it.

There are different types of ppl, ppl who like to win and ppl who just play for fun.

I am abit of both, if I want to win then I play Blight, Oni or Spirit and if I just want to mess around and have fun then Wraith, Clown or Demo.

I mean, it goes both ways, how are you supposed to enjoy the game as a solo survivor against any Spirit or Nurse? 90% of the time, you cant rely on teammates understanding what you want.

Buff solo survivor first, then buff killers accordingly. The worst solo survivor game is much lower than the worst killer game, and the best SWF games are only slightly better than the best killer games. Get rid of the worst things of the games first.

By not taking it too seriously. If you set out to win every game, one performance of yours will underwhelm you. Furthermore, if you play two killers that are way better and too overwhelming comparatively to the rest of the killer roster, it probably gets stale.

The issue is that they’re conceptually broken unlike other killers who have issues due to other flawed mechanics in the game. It’s just that the tools those two killers have make the game different.

I play the game and switch out which killer I’m going to play every other match, and I have tons of fun while not losing really at all. I think it has to do with them conceptually, then your mindset.

Because I don't go against that kind of survivors very often at all, and if I do at least for me it's whatever, I'll just do my best and I still enjoy the game more when I play a variety of killers. If I stuck to a small selection I'd probably get burnt out on killer just like I'd get burnt out on survivor if I ran the same 4 perks every match.

This is subjective of course, and if that makes me a casual player or something that's fine with me. I enjoy the game so I'm not complaining there.
