Dead Man's Switch
I never hear anything about this one.
What's the thoughts on it?

In an incredibly specific build, it's underwhelming.
Outside of that, it's incredibly niche and incredibly bad even in that niche.

It can be good, but it's held back by weird specifics.
Concept is great, I feel the requirements should be changed so it can have more a potential use on it. Or, force a difficult skill check and if someone fails it manually boots them off

Too many restrictions and conditions for not enough reward. Can be usefull on like 1-2 killer with a fully dedicated build around it.
So yeah, needs some work done to become a good perk overall.

Dead Man's Switch is what Gen Regression is to as Furtive Chase is a stealth perk.
It's just way too hard to use and when you do get to use it, it has an incredibly underwhelming effect.

Okay, i know enough.
Thanks! 👍️

Probably the perk you have to put the most effort into to get any use out of. The problem stems from blocked gens not regressing imo

Use it on Doctor with:
Thrilling Tremors, Surge and Furtive Chase

Funny that both are obsession perks too...

A lot of Killer obsession perks are just not very good...
Dead Man's Switch, Dying Light, Furtive Chase, Play With Your Food (on certain Killers due to the Basic and Special Attack requirement), New Remember Me...

PWYF is bad on everyone except arguably Wraith because he gets tokens fast.
Twins, Doctor and Plague all got nerfed in a way related to PWYF so it can't be used well on them. It's not good on anyone overall because even Wraith will be wasting time to get tokens.

Okay fair.
It would be a lot better if Special Attacks don't take away tokens tbh.

really play with your food is bad? i would think that increased movement speed for just losing a chase would be really strong
1 -
Well to me the downside isn't really gaining Tokens, it's losing them.
Losing tokens is just way too easy compared to gaining them.
Only with Nemesis or even Furtive Chase can this be countered to a degree, but then you lose a Perk slot.

It sounds strong, until you realize that the time you lost from finding the obsession and losing that chase is probably more than the time you save with 5% faster movement speed per token, especially since you lose tokens for doing damn near anything. Doctor's Shock? Lose a token. Plague's Vile Purge? Lose a token. Throw a single knife as Trickster? Lose a token.
Twins used to have good synergy, since you could M1 the obsession and then release Victor to instantly get a PWYF token and preserve it by Victor not counting as a special attack, but they shadow nerfed it in a recent patch if I remember correctly so now Victor takes a PWYF token with Pounces.
Because it's illegal for this niche perk to work well on anybody, am I right?

I only use PWYF on my Tombstone Myers.
