Thoughts on the swamp maps

I personally think they should just go.

I like the size of them, but they're just so drab. The one pallet tone is boring. Not to mention the spots where killers can't get through, but survivors can.

Mmmmmmmmmm ehhhhhhh, there's worse maps for sure.

I especially dislike the looks of it though.

Yeah yeah, swamps may not be pretty, blabla.

I don't think it's nearly as bad as many people suggest. My biggest issue is the totem & hatch spawns being really weird and in corners of the maps.

But the lower floor of Grim Pantry and the other building just suck because of the unpredictability of the door's spawns.

They are about as fun as going to a swamp in real life

Spawns are awful, looks awful, survivors have dead zones in between the buildings where killer can be looped for ages

I think they're pretty painful with inexperienced survivors. It seems to be very easy to get into a three gen, and there are gens just in the middle of nowhere that people don't have the sense to do early on. I know killers hate the hooks spawns on those maps too, right? At least theres something for everyone to hate about Swamp maps. They're not indoor though, so I will happily take them.

Swamp is one of the last maps that needs to be touched up. I'm assuming that Realm Beyond part 6 will be addressing Myers and Haddonfield first, but Red Forest and Swamp are both maps that still need an update. I'm assuming Lery's will get a minor revisit to turn some doors into breakable walls(yes, that would improve the map, as you're able to shorten a lot of currently powerful loops, but having them open from the beginning makes the map too killer sided in publics).

Worst maps in the game honestly. I don't like them when play killer or survivor.

Killers can't catch good survivors thanks to all the unplayable tiles. The pier might be my favourite tile to run as a survivor.

I don't like them because of these 3 reasons:

The RNG: Totem spawns can either be super bad or really good. Hatch is almost always impossible to find.

The Buildings/Structures: Grim Pantry's main building and secondary building are awful to play in. The bottom floor of Grim Pantry and the docks on both maps are super maze like and hard to get around.

Visuals: The maps look bland and boring. Nothing interesting or memorable, just a dull swamp with a building or big boat in the middle with an occasional hill spawn.
