Thoughts on the swamp maps
I personally think they should just go.

I dislike them, but they're not on the top of my shitlist; there's many maps I hate more. My big issues with the swamp are...
Both sides: Spawns are all over the place; totems are either devilishly brilliant or herp derp, gens can spawn in literal corners of the map, and good luck finding the hatch. The labyrinthine structures underneath the pantry, Grim Pantry's secondary building, and Pale Rose's dock are hyper RNG, and without Windows or Zanshin, you're typically running through them blind. The map is very visually unappealing.
As survivor: There are massive dead zones with few or no pallets; in Grim Pantry, the middle of the map has several gens in no-man's-land, and the Pale Rose has a sort of bendy strip through the middle where the only thing of interest is the hill that might spawn there. There's numerous hex spawns near the edges of the map hidden around trees, and they're an absolute pain to ferret out if they end up spawning there. Lots of pointless log vaults scattered in those edges that aren't long enough to run.
As killer: Grim Pantry's main building's window spawns can be nuts, and the area underneath it is a dead zone for hooks if you down someone there and the basement is in shack. Hell, even if the basement is in main building, you might still be screwed just for the long walk you have to take to get to the correct side. The swamp grass/bullrushes are extremely hard to see through and survivors can disappear by crouching in them in a map that already has low lighting. Gen spread is very wide, with the exception of tight 3-gens that often occur around the shack. Gates are extremely far apart and indefensible. A gate very often spawns right next to the shack and makes pressuring multiple survivors away from that gate near-impossible.
It's one of those special maps that's unpleasant to load into no matter who or what you're playing.

I like the size of them, but they're just so drab. The one pallet tone is boring. Not to mention the spots where killers can't get through, but survivors can.

Mmmmmmmmmm ehhhhhhh, there's worse maps for sure.
I especially dislike the looks of it though.
Yeah yeah, swamps may not be pretty, blabla.

I don't think it's nearly as bad as many people suggest. My biggest issue is the totem & hatch spawns being really weird and in corners of the maps.
But the lower floor of Grim Pantry and the other building just suck because of the unpredictability of the door's spawns.

They are about as fun as going to a swamp in real life

Spawns are awful, looks awful, survivors have dead zones in between the buildings where killer can be looped for ages

I think they're pretty painful with inexperienced survivors. It seems to be very easy to get into a three gen, and there are gens just in the middle of nowhere that people don't have the sense to do early on. I know killers hate the hooks spawns on those maps too, right? At least theres something for everyone to hate about Swamp maps. They're not indoor though, so I will happily take them.

Swamp is one of the last maps that needs to be touched up. I'm assuming that Realm Beyond part 6 will be addressing Myers and Haddonfield first, but Red Forest and Swamp are both maps that still need an update. I'm assuming Lery's will get a minor revisit to turn some doors into breakable walls(yes, that would improve the map, as you're able to shorten a lot of currently powerful loops, but having them open from the beginning makes the map too killer sided in publics).

Worst maps in the game honestly. I don't like them when play killer or survivor.

Killers can't catch good survivors thanks to all the unplayable tiles. The pier might be my favourite tile to run as a survivor.

I don't like them because of these 3 reasons:
The RNG: Totem spawns can either be super bad or really good. Hatch is almost always impossible to find.
The Buildings/Structures: Grim Pantry's main building and secondary building are awful to play in. The bottom floor of Grim Pantry and the docks on both maps are super maze like and hard to get around.
Visuals: The maps look bland and boring. Nothing interesting or memorable, just a dull swamp with a building or big boat in the middle with an occasional hill spawn.
