Got any weird but fun builds you enjoy using?

I myself personally enjoy having a Jumpscare deathslinger with a terror radius of 4, which I find hysterical. I managed to rip a Nacy off a gen once, how about you? Have you got a build that's not the greatest, but is a bunch of fun using?

Not to be a downer but using monitor and abuse on deathslinger is about as basic as it gets, sure you go even further but I have never been a fan of min maxing.

To answer your question though Idk I like trying to make every perk work so I don't consider anything weird

He has two addons that help assist in reducing his terror radius when you look down.

If I remember correctly, Whiskey (the purple addon) drops it down by 8 meters, same as monitor

Then the Sheriff badge reduces it by 4 meters

It's like having an on command terror radius shut off, sure there are perks that can do the exact same as well, but it's fun

My no hooks build, cycling Survivors until they die from lack of altruistic support (no slug camping).

    Knockout, starstruck, nurse's calling, thanatophobia

    I've got two I'm enjoying a lot.

    Wake Up/Dead Hard/Technician/Self Care and

    Calm Spirit/Stake Out/Prove Thyself/Self Care.

I self care responsibility and usually have someone else be my designated healer, don't worry. I'm not an addict.

This is super simple but I swear it just seems to work so often. Run devour hope on deathslinger. Don't bring any ruin protection stuff and just ignore it. If you act like you don't have it as long as it spawns decently survivors won't realize what your doing with slinger till its too late. By three stacks you've just made yourself be able to down anybody from 18 meters and under. Its freaking obnoxious and it's so much fun.

    Insta-stalk Myers.

    Add-ons:

    1. J. Myers Memorial

    2. Judith's Journal

    Perks:

    1. Nemesis

    2. Enduring

    3. Furtive Chase

    4. Make your Choice

Variation 1: Force pallet stuns to make anyone your Obsession, stalk them for extremely fast stalks. Since you recover from pallet stuns instantly you should be able to stalk a good chunk out of Survivors after being stunned.

Variation 2: Hook your Obsession, anyone who unhooks the Obsession becomes the new Obsession, they are exposed with Make your Choice, 99 % your Tier 3 on your new Obsession and down them with MyC.

Judith's Journal increases stalk rate by 40 % on your Obsession and J. Myers Memorial increases it by 25 %. Combimed it's an 65 % increase in stalking when stalking the Obsession.

Why would you not add Built To Last in the Infinite Med Kit build?

Recently, as survivor I find it fun running Open Handed, Streetwise, Built To Last, Red Key, Scratched Pearl, Blood Amber.

The ultimate “keep track of the killer” since the change to OoO.

I play stealthy so I love using aura perks like Bond, Dark Sense, Kindred, and the fourth I sometimes swap around but often use Urban Evasion. The pro is that I get a lot of information about where my teammates are and what they're doing, as well as occasional updates as to the killer's movements as well. The con is that I have no advantage when I'm caught.

Bond with new Open Handed is phenomenal. It gives me so much info.

Nice, thanks for that tip! I would never have taken a second look at Ace. So they stack? That's like 150+ feet.

Open Handed extends any ranged aura reading by a HUGE amount.

    Works with:

    • Bond
    • Tier 1 and Tier 2 Empathy
    • Plunderers Instinct
    • Kindred
    • Buckle Up
    • Better Together
    • Visionary
    • Saboteur
    • Windows of Opportunity
    • Detectives Hunch
    • Keys (Gold Token, Eroded Token, Blood Amber, also stacks with the range increase of Scratched Pearl).
    • It’s supposed to partially counter the effects of Knockout, but it’s currently bugged and not extending the readable aura range.

Wow, how the hell did I miss this perk? Thanks for the info, I can't wait to try it now!

That’s what I’ve been doing almost identical to yours with Built To Last instead of Empathy.

  • TheClownIsKing

Probably because Open Handed doesn’t do anything on its own. It has to be paired with other aura reading perks (or what I said about keys).

Best thing about Open Handed is that it affects the whole team. I always feel good running it when in the post match results i see other survivors running (for example) Kindred or Windows of Opportunity or Plunderers, and knowing my Open Handed helped them a lot.

  • miketheratguy
    miketheratguy Member Posts: 2,719

So Open Handed not only buffs your own personal aura perks, it buffs all other aura perks that anyone else on the team is running? That's absolutely awesome. Totally my kind of perk. I mean, like many aura perks it won't help much when the killer actually finds and starts to chase you, but for more stealthy play, it sounds amazing. I think, when I first looked over the DLC to decide what to get first, I must not have been familiar enough with the various perks to really understand how something that Open Hand could complement my playstyle. I thought that Ace was literally worthless, a character who brought absolutely nothing of value. Now it looks like I have some grinding to do, lol.

Exposed Piggy build using the perks Haunted Grounds, Devour Hope, MYC and Dragons Grip I believe are the four. Been trying to get this build to work flawlessly for ages tho. In my defense I'm slowly getting rusty with piggy because I've been so hyperfocused on Spirit like obsessively.

For survivor, I use Any Means Necessary and Breakout when I'm feeling spicy. Sometimes I'll combine Any Means and Smash Hit together. Or all three with maybe Windows to pair with Any Means. Or I'll replace Windows with whatever else I'll feel like. I dunno, it's something fun to do every now and then.

Instead of Dark Devotion or Infectious I use Hex Lullaby. Pair it with Distressing and Unnerving. For add-ons I use Beast Soot and a windstorm to cover the map fast.

HYPERSPEED Wraith. Combine Brutal strength, iron maiden, bamboozle, and fire up with double shadow dance addons. It is SO much fun especially on a pallet heavy map like the game or a wall heavy map like dead dawg.

Aftercare, Alert, Dark Sense. See the killer and survivors everywhere, "all the time".

Dark Sense, Poised, Sprint Burst. Repair a gen, be gone by the time the killer comes to check, and leave no scratch marks. The killer is going to spend some time checking lockers while you're already working on another gen.

Diversion, Red Herring. Is that a survivor? Is it just me ######### with you? The world may never know.

I played knockout third seal nurses ghostface on RPD yesterday, that build with that map is just unfair.

I use Flashbangs then vault with Lithe and leg it. Iron Will helps hiding after they catch up with me.

I like experimenting with Open Handed. I usually go either just Bond or Kindred but sometimes I change it up

    OH,Bond,Kindred, Dead Hard

OH, Bond, Windows of Opportunity, Any Means Necessary

    OH,Detective's Hunch, Counterforce

OH, Bond, For The People, Flashbang

I have a "survive evil by any means necessary" build that's more for flavor than practical but it's Calm Spirit, Iron Will, Lucky Break and Self Preservation.

When I tinker with No Mither I run Iron Will, Dead Hard and Resilience or Object of Obsession with a key+blood amber if I'm going resilience.

For Wraith I really enjoy The Beast-Soot+purple movespeed addons with Coulrophobia, Distressing, Sloppy and Nurses. On smaller maps or maps with verticality(cough cough Midwich) it's super oppressive.

For Demogorgon I love Leprose Lichen+unknown egg. This setup makes Demo more of a control/hit and run type of killer but he can chase survivors in his own unique way. On maps like Autohaven,RPD or The Game, you can apply a pressure similar to Nurse where you just disregard verticality and big ass structures. Also, you will always know how safe or unsafe your totems are with this build, and if you feel so inclined this setup gives you a budget crappy Lethal Pursuer.

The “Always small TR build”: M&A + Furtive Chase. At 4 FC tokens your TR remains exactly the same: 24m for 32m TR killers, and 16m for 24m TR killers.

Although I randomize perks every round, I like the idea of creating builds based on a class, meme or even a character not in the game, but think the perks add up to it. A few ideas:

    Survivor

The Original Prankster (based on The Offspring song): Blast Mine, Smash Hit, Diversion, Head-On

######### Your Hook!: Power Struggle, Boil Over, Flip-Flop, Decisive Strike

The Spy: Dark Sense, Kindred, Object of Obsession, Alert

    Killer

Generation Despair: Hoarder, Surge, Eruption, Unnerving Presence

The Finale: NOED, No Way Out, Remember Me, Bitter Murmur

Scream For Me (hilarious when used on the Doctor!): Dragon's Grip, Infectious Fright, Deathbound, Unnerving Presence

I think people underestimates Iron Will + Lucky Break + green medkit. It's more or less two free escapes making it in my mind stronger than DS. And people that say "well you need two perk slots for it" well come on Iron Will is super strong on it's own and last all game it is worth it. Make sure killer don't hit you in the open though and best is to run behind something and then go back to were killer is coming from making him search in the wrong place. Then fast heal and you have another free escape left.

But I agree with Open Handed+Bond and Windows, visionary or Kindred or whatever..it's super fun and strong.
