Sick of constantly facing cheaters
Seriously whats the point in having easyanticheat when it seems so damn easy to bypass?
In the last 4 days, in my killer games ive had SIX people in 5 games who were either speed hacking/using speed cheats or using a locker teleport cheat.
I've filed reports but nothing will be done because i have to record every single match it seems just to help BHVR do its job. But its now getting out of hand.
I love downing survivors only for them to crawl to the other side of the map in 0.8 seconds. I love chasing survivors with object of obsession to go into a locker, then appear on the other side of the map teabagging me (yes it was the same, it was a very clear outline of an ace while the other 3 were jake and nea)
And i know people will doubt it or think "deception" or "sprint burst" because ive seen that sort of reply before.
But after i accused someone of it post game months ago, i now keep a very close eye on deception. And only one person in all of those games mentioned ran it. And he wasnt even the one teleporting.
And for details on the speed hacking. Heres how it usually goes. I down someone near the killer shack, suddenly they have escaped the trial depsite exit gates being a mile away
If easy anti cheat is so god damn easy to bypass, why even have it? It aint stopping people from having cheat progams/hacks. This game is beyond toxic and a total time waste now.

Yeah ive ran into 5 cheaters this past week. Speed hacks, instant heals so you can never down them. Stuns that last 2 minutes. I usually just dc the moment i realize its a cheater. Which isnt bad right now because of the no penalties. They really need to crack down on the hackers.

There's been a massive influx of cheaters lately. Worse, they seem to have figured out how to block the ability to report them in game. BHVR needs to plug the leak and do a ban wave; it's been bad all month after a few months' relative peace.
In the meantime, I guess just keep filing reports when you can, and dodge any lobbies if you see a survivor with an overly long name.

There's a character limit baked into the game and names get cut off if they extend this. Don't know the exact limit, but it's not that long. Cheaters can bypass this and have names that extend across the whole screen.
Not all cheaters will do this - most won't, really - but anyone whose display name is too long is definitely a cheater. A couple of the notorious ones going around at the moment are identifiable like this.

How did you even find them? I've seen less than 10 cheaters in thousands of hours over 5 years.

Im glad im not the only one experiencing it. Cause considering i aint seen anyone else posting about it, i thought i was the only unlucky guy on this game
Their names have been VERY short lately. One was called Ghost. Another called Yami. I rarely see very long names in games with cheaters.

Ive been playing since just after freddy came out, and i experience at least 10 - 20 per year so how you've only gotten 10 in 5 years is beyond me. But lately its just more and more common for me. Its FAR more common for survs to be cheaters. Ive only experienced around 5 or 6 killers using hacks in the whole time of playing

Actually, "less than 10" was a very conservative way to say "4 or 5" :)
All of them were survivors.
Which server are you playing on? Around what time? Which platform? Crossplay on/off? Rank?

I do dc. But thats not the point. I shouldnt have to dc. Cheaters shouldnt be as prevalent as they are when theres a god damn anti cheat there to prevent it.

UK, PC, On otherwise wait times are around 10 minutes per lobby whereas at the time i encountered them (between 3 and 5pm UK time) the wait time for killer was around 5-6 minutes. Rank 5, but ive encountered cheaters at all ranks.

We play on the same servers, about the same rank (i get quite a bit of purple ranks in my matches when queing late), and in simular times (yours is a bit earlier, but that's hardly relevant).
By the looks of it, either your luck is very poor, or my standards to declare someone to be a cheater are higher. Ppl blatantly teleporting through the map when downed do not suppose any duality in judgement, though.

Yesterday I was fairly certain i experienced a cheater playing Huntress. When she hooked the first person I was standing on the roof of Thompson house beside an opening (so I could angle the camera to see where she was heading). She turned and threw a hatchet at me. So I assumed she must have had BBQ and noted it for the next hook.
So next time someone got hooked ( it was all quick succession- she was downing everyone one after the other), I saw a Bill crouched close enough that he wouldnt show up on BBQ. There was no way she could have seen him. Yet she went right around to his exact location.
After I was hooked, I ran across the map, and walked a pretty great distance to the shack. She downed someone else and I was in the basement (was gonna look for a med kit). I go inside a locker for a good 10 seconds. More than enough time to wait out BBQ. I go and check the chest out. This Huntress ran from the other side of the map, into the basement and downed me. I wasn't healing, so it couldn't have been Nurse's. I was flabbergasted.
She hooks me and leaves.
At this point I'm incredibly suspicious. No gens are done. Everyone has been hooked twice. And for shits and giggles I decide to test this out. I purposely HIDE. I skulk around because at this point she's just death hooking people. No one has touched a generator. It's a wash. I'm the second last person alive, and Huntress comes into the Thompson house (I was leaving no scratch marks. No blood), and goes to the exact locker I'm in and grabs me.
It was bloody impossible she would have known I was there.
End game screen, she had NO BBQ. NO aura reading/info perks. No top tier perks to speak of. Just things like green sloppy butcher, lullaby etc.
I don't usually conclude someone is cheating because it's really easy to assume and really hard to prove. But this was something else.

They are not teleporting to the other side of the map when downed just like that. They are crawling, VERY FAST after being downed. They are running very fast when up. spamming their flashlights to get me to chase as they know i will never catch.
For example. 1 game i had. The cheater playing the nea, i started a chase with her, i was around 6 meters away and another 2-3 seconds in position to lunge. Suddenly shes 10 meters away, then 15 meters away. In the space of less than 2 seconds. Running round the map like speedy gonzalez.
I went after others, downed one, hooked them, Nea comes to save right on front of me, she was still injured from me managing to hit her earlier when i was hidden thanks to tinkerer and she was doing a gen, she never bothered to heal. During saving the other surv, i downed the nea, while wiping my weapon, shes crawling at a speed double the speed that legion runs.
Thats just the speed hackers. The closet teleporters are the ones appearing all over different parts of the map after running into a closet right in front of me.

Yeah, the cheaters are getting a bit out of hand.
I think the event genuinely made it worse because we KNOW the developers are too busy fixing other ######### to focus on banning these cheaters.

Any anti-cheat can be bypassed with new cheats. That's how it works. An anti-cheat cannot prevent people from using a cheat that isn't in its database because it literally has no idea how the cheat works, and therefore will not register it as a cheat. They can know the general behavior of cheats, but if a new one comes along that behaves differently, it won't be caught.
It's kinda like vaccines. First the disease appears, then you study it, then you develop the vaccine.

I feel like someone INSTANTLY healing or someone running at speeds FASTER than they are allowed is typically a red flag.

Simply put, without getting too much into this because it's probably against the rules to talk in-depth about cheats and cheating, what constitutes "normal" can be changed by cheats.

@Gay Myers (Luzi) a lot of people here are saying how they DC during games and promote DC this way. It is bannable offense no ? :)

Without any actual video evidence, it's hard to say that you were in fact facing cheaters.
I haven't really played that much recently due to other games taking my attention, but I've maybe faced like 3 cheaters over a total of 2.5K hours. Now it could a regional thing, because you'll be matched with people within your region. But cheating has never been a huge problem in my experience.

It doesn’t seem like a huge problem until it ruins the game.
I had a couple of cheaters who kept instantly healing me from the ground, then in post-game chat accused me of being the cheater and encouraged the others in the lobby to report me. I don’t know if anyone actually did, and I submitted video evidence to prove that it was them and not me, but the next person might be unlucky and catch a ban by mistake.
I also experienced a killer who had infinite Remember Me tokens so the gates literally would not open. And he wouldn’t hook anyone, he’d down someone, pick them up and then just teleport around the map for long periods of time while they were unable to wiggle. I’ve also had survivors that escape through the un-spawned hatch and crash the game, leaving everyone else frozen and unable to do anything. Both scenarios are the definition of holding the game hostage and force you to take a dc ban.

I wonder if this is some regional issue? I think I have 'bout 2k hours by now and I've identified only 2-3 cheaters.

Not sure if you’re lucky or I’m unlucky, because I’ve only seen about 2 hackers in 600 hours and they were both the multiple killer thing

Literally every anticheat in the world can be bypassed.
The war of anticheat vs cheaters is never-ending; Cheaters find new ways to cheat, and anti-cheat makers block those ways, then cheaters find yet more ways to cheat.
It's not possible to develop an anti-cheat that can catch new cheats as they are made. At least, not with coding as we know it right now.

I've played the same SWF three times over the past couple of days and I've been running a ruin, devour, haunted build. This SWF always immediately finds ruin and devour but never touches haunted even when haunted is out in the open. Could this be cheating or just horrible RNG with this SWF?

In the past MONTH I've seen these types of cheaters several times and reported them with video evidence, but it never ends.
I don't have enough free time to help you fix your game, BHVR. Your reporting functions should work without the extra effort of providing video evidence.
I downed a Bill with t3 Myers, he got up immediately sliding to the other side of the shack. I faced an infiinite sprint burst Steve, who I could only keep up with him while I was cloaked on wraith. And more... This doesn't even count the enormous amount of cheating that isn't hacking, when players try to team up with the killer and farm the other survivors.
I have no interest in playing with or against cheaters so I'm really glad the event is over. Now I can move on to something else until BHVR get their game working.

Cheats. I have run into the same thing.
They need to invest in server side anticheat, but that costs money and their investors will say no, sell more skins instead.

It seems from replies people either dont realise when its happening or its totally regional, but that makes me wonder why its regional?
But considering the amount of people stating they've experienced multiple cheaters, im finding it hard to believe these people with 1000s of hours only meeting a handful.
A lot here state they experience the insta heal cheat, whereas i have never experienced that as a killer, only speed hacks and/or teleport hacks. I have experienced that as a solo survivor though.

I have run into 5 rage hackers since i started back in 2016. Most stick to esp cheats (see through walls and position of everything on the map such as totems) or small speed boosts (usually swf so no reports) because anything obvious like heal cheats is easy to see in a recording and easy for bhvr to ban.

Good luck with that when they bring back the DC penalty. As some wise guy here on forums said: "There is no valid reason to DC!"
