What killer moments kick in your "Oh crap" instinct?
To explain more thoroughly, what things do killers do that make you realize how screwed you might be? Personally what makes my tense instinct kick in is seeing a really early snipe from a huntress, or a nurse who downs somebody with their first 2 blinks. Devour hope/NOED activating are also pretty "oh crap" moments.

bloodwarden when the EGC timer is low.

Devour hope always a oh ######### moment it's personally one of my favourite perks to play against

When Devour Hope kicks in, or
When I'm the one who sets off Haunted Grounds, or
When a Nurse actually downs somebody in the first two blinks.
Then I'm like... well crap.

Gotta agree with you on that one. A sudden Devour Hope is definitely a "oh #########" moment.

- Working on a generator, and Mike's Tier 3 kicks in, followed by that noise that someone is insta-dead (Judith's tombstone).
- Devour Hope popping
- When a high mobility Killer finds the hatch and closes it within 3 seconds of hooking the second last survivor. It's like a universal law in Solo queue that the second last survivor WILL be downed directly on the hatch. Or that the hatch will appear steps from the hook.

Working on an almost finished gen in a jungle gym, when out of nowhere comes an undetectable Bubba comes revving in. There's only one thing in my mind more scary than that in DBD...
...and that is hearing Myers tier up, but you don't know if he's watching you or someone else.

Trickster getting a down before 2 or more gens pop. Now THAT's something that you don't see every day.

When I hear nurse blink at the start of the match, and everything becomes instantly more sweaty just by that sound

When Devour Hope kicks in, when Myers seems to be taking a while to tier up and is letting people go without getting hits in, and when the Bubba that just downed me has Iron Grasp.

I don't think there's a bigger killer 'Oh crap' moment than when you've been chasing that first survivor and the first gen pops... and the second gen pops... and you're praying that third one doesn't follow, but you know it's going to happen, and sure enough...
Though picking a survivor up and hearing someone sprint out from behind you is definitely a close second.

When you get hooked nearby hex totem and the killer knows you seen it lol

When I go to pick a survivor up who's laying below a pallet and I hear footsteps/breathing

Randoms getting downed in 10 seconds

- When I see the killers aura via dark sense but I'm not using dark sense.
- When the killer is being overly nice about not camping.
- When I realize the EGC timer is low and the killer probably isn't slugging the downed survivor to be toxic.
- When the clown is right behind me trying to get direct hits with his bottles.
- When the trapper is putting traps down in the most obvious places.
- When I notice my survivor breathing a bit louder at the start of the trial.
- When the killer uses the map offering: Lery's.
- When the shape has his right hand open within tier 3.

"Hmmm... why can I see that spirit whenever a generator lights up?..."

As Killer: When the first Gen pops and Corrupt is still active
As Survivor: hearing Wraith's bell or his breathing/ footsteps
Hearing a Nurse Blink
Seeing another survivor pop a Hag trap
Looking behind me (while working on a Gen) and seeing Micky just standing there (and Ghostface)
Hearing Oni activate his power
Having a RBT on (cause my luck is bad.... like really bad)
Seeing an inactive Trapper's trap ( I suck so bad when it's the Trapper)

When I see a chase start and end in like 10 seconds (against a non-chainsaw killer)
Seriously, how do you get downed that fast when the game gives you a speed boost after every hit? It just tells me I'm either getting hatch or getting hooked because I'm in a lobby with dummies.

Generally perks or killers that apply the exposed effect like Haunted Grounds, Devour Hope, Ghostface, Micheal Myers, etc.

- Repairing the final gen while being the obsession then realizing the killer has Rancor.
- Haunted Grounds getting broken while in a chase.
- Devour Hope going off.
- Getting downed near the basement against a Bubba, Trapper, or Hag.

Seeing my teammates go down within seconds. 😅

When i'm working on a generator alone and a Blight comes flying towards me with Tinkerer and I know he has Ruin
Devour Hope activating
When a Myers doesn't activate his Tier 3 until there's only 1 gen left
Spirit's standing still when i'm in a chase with her
When i'm running towards shack against a Trapper, especially if basement is there
Trying to go for an unhook for Doc to then use his static blast
Getting hit and dropping the pallet at the same time

Also, the exact moment you realize that the Killer is standing over you for .001 seconds too long because surprise, you're about to be Mori'd.

Tried to hide in a corner of rocks covered by bamboo on the Yamaoka family residence map against a Plague. The moment she pinned me, and started charging up her vomit I knew... I ######### up. Against most other killers they'd either pass by, or gimme a hit with a second chance of escape, but Plague, Billy, Bubba, Shape or a fully charged Oni don't play that way. If you find yourself pinned in a corner against them, there's nothing you can do, but I feel like Plague is especially cruel in this because, even when her Vile purge injures you, it doesn't give you a speed boost, so you're just left sitting there getting barfed on, with no chance for escape. Don't get me wrong, when this same situation happens against a Bubba or Billy, you know the insta-down is coming quickly, and accept it, but with Plague... it feels like she's taunting you, y'know?
Needless to say, I'm never attempting to stealth play into a corner ever again when opposing her.
Otherwise, what really tells me I might be screwed and sets me on full survival mode is when the first 20 seconds of a match has 1 down. It Doesn't matter the killer, because that indicates we're either going up against a really good one, or I have at least 1 crap teammate. There's the chance that the killer just got lucky, but that's very unlikely, and so, if this ever happens in a match, I go into full on caution mode: hiding in a locker before any survivor is hooked, sneaking around a lot, not playing the hero, only do gens as far from the others as possible, and walk/sneak away from a gen I'm working on and hide as soon as I hear the TR or when the gen hits 70% just to be safe (tinkerer is a ######### after all). I feel so screwed when a teammate goes down that quickly... it just sets a defeatist mood in me, and I wanna fight it tooth and nail, but switch to relying on my smarts rather than my boldness.

"It's like a universal law in Solo queue that the second last survivor WILL be downed directly on the hatch. Or that the hatch will appear steps from the hook."
So true, hehehhehe

When Devour Hope activates, when I cleanse a lit up totem and it's Haunted Grounds, when I've been chased for a decent amount of time and then Michael Myers just ends up grabbing me and then mori's or when it's Nurse who can down a survivor within seconds. They're all the 'oh crap' moments for me.
