Should realms with one map not have an offering?
I feel like I go to haddonfield, Midwich, dead dawg, etc way more than I should based on the number of maps.
I personally think offerings for these should be removed, as they are mainly only used for nefarious purposes.
Also, the original maps are still the best lol

I much prefer the idea of just deleting all map offerings in general. ######### that one double range Nurse on Saloon with Infectious, and ######### the quad Balanced Landing SWF on Haddonfield.
While we're at it, we can delete Haddonfield, Midwich, Saloon, RPD, etc, and just pretend nobody will notice.

Yeah I wouldn’t mind it, although I kinda just want Macmillan every game tbh, sans ######### woods

I would enjoy seeing Saloon get yeeted.

Yes please, what a horrible map. Breakable walls every corner, exclusively unsafe pallets, half the map is a dead zone, bad gen placements, etc. Awful map
3 -
Map offerings in general are pretty op so I wouldn't mind if they get removed completely. Would also free up spaces in the bloodweb.
Heck while we're at it we should also delete hatch and basement offerings as well as fog offerings. I just hate being forced to buy this garbage

I agree completely. Definitely the map I hate most.

I'm gonna agree with some of what the others have said and just say we should remove map offerings. If I get a ######### map by chance, whatever, but when I get a ######### map because I was sent there? Exponentially increases my salt.
I'm gonna be the only one to say I don't mind Dead Dawg. The breakable walls and lack of safe pallets are stupid, but I like the aesthetic.
Much rather play on a map like MacMillan, but I don't mind Dead Dawg. RPD and Midwich are 1000x worse imo.

Don't use map Offerings, so wouldn't miss 'em either.

They should retire map offerings at this point would improve game health kinda
5 -
Hell no i need a map offering for ma spooky myers
1 -
Map offerings are bad design in the first place. People shouldn't be able to pick up maps which are benefitial to them, especially if you consider that the Entity likes randomness. It also adds up to the grind.

I love map offerings. For example, i need indoor maps for Mirror Myers. Or when i play with my friends i need The Game or 4 x Balanced for Haddonfield. I really love map offerings.
0 -
This is giving me yet more reasons as to why map offerings should be removed because I despise that build.
3 -
+1 camping scratched mirror Myers on an indoor map is cringe
3 -
Leave Midwich alone its just a baby :(

Hate this map with a passion. Half of it is nothing the other half is beyond broken tiles that're bandaid remedied with breakable walls. sometimes 3 gens which killers need to go far out of their way to get to 2 of which have instant escape routes to make distance. Not to mention its just a bad theme in general. Really needs a gutting and change.

I wish they would remove green map offerings and instead bring back the brown ones, that way using one certainly increases the chance of getting the map however it isn't guaranteed that you'll go to it.
0 -
I’d love for map offerings to get the boot. No more lery’s Myers and Hawkins ghostface’s
0 -
The only issue I see is Scratched mirror games pretty much REQUIRE certain maps. I always like those Myers games and would never see em again if map offerings got removed.
0 -
I'm pretty sure I have accumulated at least 100 map offerings character-wide...
Because I don't use them unless I have literally nothing else to use. It seems like some people get use out of them though, judging by this thread. So that's... good, I guess?
0 -
As many people have said on these forums before, practically every aspect of Myers is outdated, including his add-ons, he pretty much needs rebuilt from the ground up.
0 -
It'd honestly would be harder, but not impossible
0 -
Maybe if you bring PWYF and have some stacks to be able to chase anyone. As soon as someone reaches even a simple pallet loop otherwise, theres really no way of catching them. They would be able to loop ya like 15 times before dropping that pallet. This is why scratched mirror tends to rely on LOS blockers to score hits rather than chase AT ALL. You get a map like Blood lodge, Wreckers yard or Ormond (Maps that are lacking in LOS blockers) and the only way you'd be able to get ANYTHING done is if the survivors are just super unaware of their surroundings (Like a streamer who is constantly looking at their chat or something).
0 -
That's fair, I despise Coldwind's loops so it would be very difficult for him
0 -
Honestly I'd much rather all maps had 3 variants no more. Then the map is drawn randomly and then the variant after the maps been decided. This way I feel certain maps would be less weighted in popping up
0 -
Those loops thats just like waste high junk with a pallet are basically godloops for a T1 Myers without PWYF stacks. If you can reach one of those, your safe.
0 -
My personal hated one is the stack hay bail that goes in a circle, it's short enough to be safe for the survivors who can also easily look over the bails to tell if you are gonna mind game

If we remove map offerings can we get brightness ones back
0 -
map offerings are okay, some maps just aren't okay
0 -
Removing map offering in general would be amazing.
They are a waste of BP and are only used to give one side a huge advantage.
Sure, some meme builds wouldn't really be possible anymore, but i think it would overall improve the gameplay experience.
2 -
Those suck for even NORMAL killers, but were talking about someone moving at 105% movement speed, no bloodlust ever and still deals with larger than survivor hitboxes forcing him to loop SLIGHTLY larger than survivors. Even if the pallet isnt even there, its too much of a time sink to chase someone around loops where they can clearly see you.
0 -
I know, I know. I'm not trying to diverge away from this conversation. I was just agreeing with you about how God awful it would be.
They'd need to buff his normal tier 1 speed in order to deal with some the crap the realm beyond maps has to offer
0 -
I would be fine with removing them
0 -
Saloon is so absurdly easy as killer that I feel like an ass for winning
the 3-gens are so tight I can stand in one spot and have full visual on them
0 -
Yeah, I agree, most killer sided map in the game. When I was a killer main, I’d win every time because the gen spread is hilariously bad.

You can take my mary's letters from my cold, dead hands.

Just played a Doc game where they sent me to Haddonfield, Crotus Prenn Asylum, Badham, and Coldwind.
It's like a cacophany of ######### Killer maps, but thankfully I got a lucky one and got Father Campbell's Chapel which is fairly balanced.
I don't wish for map offerings to go away, but stuff like this really makes me consider it.
0 -
Badham is actually my favorite map as both killer and survivor
Killer mains over-exaggerate how survivor-sided that map is. Once you've busted the car pallets, that whole stretch becomes easy downs
0 -
I don't mind Badham either, it's at least bareable despite having God House, but just seeing it alongside those other offerings just made me suffer.
0 -
Is Badham decent as a killer? I die every time I play survivor and get that map, figuratively and literally. I think it's my least favorite.
0 -
Does the phrase 'House of Pain' mean anything to you?
I'm genuinely asking.
2 -
It's decent. I still think it's slightly more survivor sided than usual because it has God House (basement house with two stairways and windows and a god pallet inside), but if you burn through those quickly during the start at the match you can get through it without much trouble.
But if a Survivor knows how to use those loops, and every single one of them do, you're kinda #########. It's the same with Haddonfield and the House of Pain, if they know how to loop it, you're forced to follow them through window vaults.
0 -
They have house of pain, I have a basement within a basement.
Fair trade

Normally his T1 speed doesnt bother me if your just doing a normal build where you dont STAY in T1. You typically arnt chasing anyone and just moving to various spots to stalk to hit T2. Its when using that addon that keeps you in T1 and therefore changes what your using it for that it becomes an issue. You USE to be able to get bloodlust in T1, so...theyve actually NERFED it. I dont see them undoing that.
I like playing around with scratched mirror and have tried doing it without map offerings (was out of the map offerings and had plenty of the addons) and its mostly just a giant pain in the ass that feels impossible on most maps.
0 -
Yeah, that's true.
Those percentages make ah absolutely huge difference. Not having those can be too stressful.
0 -
Fair enough.
Overall, I think Badham is a map that demonstrates the differences between good, casual Survivors and excellent, sweaty Survivors.
If the players you're up against know what they're doing and take advantage of it, it can be a really hard map. Not least of which because the gen spread is almost always super cruel.
0 -
When I played with friends we would do map roulette, three picked maps they wanted to play on and one picked a map that sucked so at the time the maps we all hated for survivor were Midwich, old The Game, and Lery's.
That was the only time we would use map offerings and over half the time we wouldn't bring old Ormond or Haddonfield because even we viewed them as sweaty maps that provided too much resource to our team.
0 -
Midwich is first on the chopping block.
0 -
+1 for removing map offerings. In an ideal world, all maps would be balanced so offerings wouldn't matter. But given that the last 2 maps are some of the worst balanced in the game, the only realistic option is to make map choice 100% random.
