How do you do Flashbang saves?!

For the life of me I cannot figure out the both the timing and spacing to actually do a save during the pick up. It’s infuriating.

    I can only think of one time I got a flash bang save, and I did it while body blocking the killer at the hook. I find it a lot easier to blind the killer during a chase, I can get the timing for that down. But saves? Oof. I cannot figure out where to drop the dumb thing or the timing for it.

    Depends on how you do it. For me I know the timing for flashbang locker saves.

    You need to stand side by side with the locker (after a bit of practice you'll see the other angles you can save from). Throw down the flashbang when the survivors feet have been lifted off the floor of the locker (wait a split second since the survivors feet needs to be a bit of the floor).

    For normal Flashbang saves I'm not certain. All I know is you need to do it earlier than flashlights. I'd say do it half way through the animation of the killer picking up the survivor before he hooks his arm underneath them (beginning of flashlight time).
