What new tutorials?
Am I misreading the patchnotes?
the tutorial ingame are the ones that came with chapter 20? Do they means those? Am I missing something?

Uhh..weirdly worded bug fix? Did you take a look at the tutorial?

With the chapter 20 release, bot matches were added after the tutorials so you can try out what you've learned in a more match-like setting.
With this mid-chapter, the tutorials themselves have been completely remade (e.g. the thing that teaches you what generators, hooks, etc. are).

I see. thanks.
I had hoped for more tutorials for other killers and how perks work :(

Where are the bot matches though? All I've heard/seen are new expanded tutorials for survivor and Killer.

Would love the ability to change the killer from Trapper in the bot matches.

Yeah and that was there with the chapter update, but this mid chapter update was supposed to bring with it offline bot matches. All this is, is what was already there, and not what was discussed in the developer update.

Aye there’s no bot matches at the moment. Heard they’re being added but not sure if that’s accurate. There is a gimmicky little tutorial thing on one map with trapper though.

Played the new tutorials now (didn't do before as I had already finished them).
They are nice, but I maintain the position that it does need something for perks (which would probably be a whole thing in and on itself) and different killers (especially training modes for killers)

And that's precisely what the developer update made this out to be. They said offline bot matches were coming with the mid chapter update. The bot match with Trapper and Dwight was already there with the chapter 20 release, so this doesn't make any sense.

I'd rather have specific training modes for just the killers (aiming practice for deathslinger and huntress) etc

Good to see you around @Peanits , this phrasing* from I think the anniversary event was a bit ambiguously worded but as the trapper bot match was already in we all took it as being able to have bot matches with other killers. Is this still something that's happening?
* "Now, a tutorial is great and all, but it doesn’t quite compare to hands on experience. Before you jump into an online match, you can now practice in offline bot matches. This will let you try out everything you’ve learned in a real-world scenario without the stress of other people watching. Bot matches are already available on the live version of the game (click the Getting Started button on the main menu to check them out). "

Yeah no one understands this either. The bot match with Trapper and Dwight was already there with the chapter 20 release. The developer update talked about something completely different for the mid chapter update. So did this get delayed, or were they just talking about what was already there to begin with?

Will they still reset my cosmetics and perks? Just wanna make sure before I check them out.

I'm also wondering about this. The impression I got was that we were going to have bot matches where we could practice with other characters, which sounded pretty cool.

Yeah I was expecting to have access to what we already have in custom matches, but with bots. How does practicing with just Trapper or just Dwight reflect a real live match if you can't use perks or other killers?
1 -
Plus trapper is probably the most pointless killer to be able to practice. The bots aren't going to respond to traps like human players would and otherwise he's just an m1 killer. When people say they want to practice or get warmed up I'm pretty sure they mean more nurse, billy, huntress, blight etc

Yea, there are new tutorials.
I learned that when a teammate gets downed, you should drop a pallet nearby and slow vault over on their side. Then the killer will walk away and disappear! xd

Are the bots prepared for camping?

add more killers to the bot training mode, it shouldn't be that hard.

But we still can't pick Perks and Killers and stuff, right?
Cause that's too bad, since the Developer update does mention "try out everything you've learned", which isn't true if i for example just learned i can Lightburn a Wraith with a Flashbang and want to try that out some more.

Just finished the tutorial for the bp. It scares me if the balance team thinks that's how a typical match goes.

Exactly! How does playing with just Trapper prepare me for a real live match with other killers? The developer update talked about something completely different for the mid chapter update, so we really need an explanation here.
