Why are you guys so thirsty about a new killer?
Like how. The game has a handful of bugs every new patch, this patch is audio, scratchmarks and still a terrible console performance(on average PC systems you might even get stutters or fps drops at times right now), nemesis patch completely destroyed performance with a map release that wasn't playable for weeks and the trickster patch or the previous one to it neglected for over a month pallet stuns whilst releasing Smash Hit.
I just don't understand how I can see so many threads speculating and hyping about who's gonna be the new killer when honestly I'm so scared about what new bugs next patch will bring and what immensity of bugs will either not be fixed, disregarded or pretend they did a fix when we just got a band-aid put over the problem, cutting in half the frequency of when it would happen, but still having it as a common thing to see and something to be playing around, which makes it worse because it isn't even a consistent thing to take into account when making mid-chase decisions. š

Because despite all the negative things, I like to keep an eye out for the positive stuff (like new killers, survivors etc)

honestly? i wouldn't call new characters one of the positives. The insistence on the same routine 'new characters with three perks each' is very much what's causing so much trouble and what makes it extremely hard to balance things well.
Dunno 'bout you people, but i'd rather have big cosmetic packs and maybe 'just perks' packs without new characters for a while till everything's more or less ironed out.

It's opinion based so I respect that.

I agree that no new characters are needed! disagree on performance! on ps4 the latest patch has improved the game a lot!

Because the game gets stale and new killer powers spices it up. Unfortunately, it seems like the devs are running out of interesting ideas.

I agree

I guess we're hoping for innovation and cool powers. But it feels like devs are more about the "art" than "balance and gameplay".
Better not take too much risks when it works, right ?

Same. Plus Iām simply insatiable for new DBD content. Probably moreso lately because the string of ranged killers lately has had me hankering more and more for something different

What's honestly better than the release of a new killer and his perks š It's just the best

This.
But does it work though. Part of the community is outright pissed(yet still most of us aren't quitting the game) about the absurd amount of bugs that appear with each new patch/dlc and the other part is just happy to have new characters and try to focus on that ignoring the fact that the game is getting worse and worse and worse, and imo this has been happening way more since blight release. I just hope they stop putting that much effort into adding so much new content to later have a much harder time working out in how to solve all the problems there are.
The game as is, is in a good spot where games don't really feel stale and repetitive and the game could sit here for a few patches while they release minor things like cosmetics or whatever and focus on fixing the broken code they have.
But this is all an opinion. I don't feel the new content added is bad, I LOVE Jill and Leon; and Nemesis is the first killer I prestiged up to level 3, still I would've very much appreciated bugfixing patches and more work into balancing the game (even if it was only adding QoL to certain killers who are really uncomfortable to play as) over all the new content added since the game has been in an egregious state.

We don't need new characters, but they're always fun to see. Although we rarely get any characters I'm all that interested in.
Honestly the worst offender so far has been Kill-All. Doesn't fit the theme of DBD at all and feels way more like something tacked on by staff based on their own tastes. Even prior to that though, what makes so many of these characters good candidates for the entity? Why would they be chosen when they have no synergy with the killers they're paired with? It all feels so lazy and uninspired.

the chapter seems quite 'let's jump the kpop bandwagon' to a lot of people. It's a chapter that... Yun-Jin is fine, but trickster should have stayed on the drawing table for a bit longer. Like spirit he suffers from what appears to be a dissonance between planned gameplay and practical gameplay, aka he was intended to be played and countered one way, but no one plays him like that, leading to frustration on both sides.

Because most people don't care about bugs and so on. They only care about new content in the form of cosmetics, rift pass, or new killer/survivor. It's the main reason DBD can have such bad balance, and constant bugs but still have a large number of players. Casual players are the majority and casual players are usually also the least invested when it comes to a game's health and balance.
