The Key nerf did absolutely nothing
Three games in a row now a game I've been doing well in have been cut short by everyone just dipping out with a key. It's seriously demoralizing to be playing well only for the game to end with a giant middle finger in your face.

Waiting for the typical, "Keys are rare" / "Keys are not like old mori" with a "Stop complaining" counterpoints.

All they did was make them unusable at zero charges, which is like every other item. It's not that hard to hold on to a few charges just incase they find hatch.

All they have to do is hide it until the hatch opens...Franklin's does nothing🙄
They need to make it so hatch only spawns when 5 gens are completed or there is only 1 survivor left alive

They should make it where keys will automatically break hatch after use so it cant open again and make it so only one person can escape and then it will immediately shut. Same as it is after you kill 3 people and hatch opens then.

This as well...had a match when two survivors escaped through hatch after 6 hooks and I closed the hatch...the other survivor that was left found another key in a chest and reopened the hatch🤬
Decided to just place and pick up my traps next to the hooked survivor...not my fault your teammates don't want to play the game and left you

Exactly why only one person should ever be able to escape through it.

as someone who runs plunderer when playing surv to stack items for future use, my collection of red/pruple keys obtained almost every game would disagree with a person stating that.... not even kidding, i rarerly get a red map, and it's as rare to get a white item (because of the perk 2nd ability); but purple/red keys get spammed at me like if the game were telling me: "get em, get em, they are worthless"

They change key in response of the franklin change that all its not like this will fo anything when a survivor hide is key or the last sec swich

Don't forget that there is achievement for escaping trough the hatch with whole team. So survivors should have possibility to escape together anyway.

This image represents very well the "nerf" of the keys.
Almost nobody use a key for anything except opening the hatch specially if you find one in a chest with plunderer's instinct which is very common.
The nerf to time the hatch stay opened didn't do anything aswell.

They can change the achievement. Games do it all the time. Keeping an unhealthy mechanic like that for that reason is ridiculous. By that logic killers had achievements for a certain number of moris in one game so they never should have made it more difficult.

You suggest to make escaping together impossible, not just more difficult. That logic little different.

There are also rift challenges involving keys, and yes while those could be changed altering achievements/trophies on the consoles are extremely difficult to get permissions to do. I'm not even certain why Sony and Microsoft resist this either, but they do.
This is one of the primary reasons key changes are taking forever to do, and are being done in baby steps.

Still waiting for the rework devs

Well I mean you are trying to *kill* people by hanging them on hooks for a ritualistic sacrifice so...

I know that Sony will change achievements if new game mechanics make it impossible to complete. Overwatch did this several times after completely reworking character abilities. I cannot speak for Microsoft but I'm assuming they did the same.
Just pointing out the hypocrisy of saying nerf one while allowing the other to remain in a broken state due to things that could also be changed. Personally I thought they both should have been heavily nerfed; just disappointed the devs couldn't even see the point of doing so simultaneously.
