Seems you are getting free fake pallet hits (killer hits you and you hear the scream but the pallet takes precedence) and laggy scratch Mark's (if they even show up at all).
Happy times for all...killers have been bhvrd...and I got DC on the police station yesterday when I was winning because resident evil .
From lag spikes during the anniversary to this...at least I won some auric cells from the patch bet🤑

You say this like survivors haven't had to deal with getting hit on fully dropped pallets for 5 years?
I'd personally prefer it to work where if there is a pallet dropped and the killer would be stunned no one gets hit, killers ALREADY have hit prescedence even before dedicated servers (being the host and all).

Ngl I'm glad I've only had the pallet scream thing happen once and it was when it looked like I shouldnt have landed a hit.

People are saying the pallets are working correctly, but the scream is a bug. You lost the hit detection, but the bug is telling you you didn't. Not that it isn't annoying, but it is what it is.
And the RPD isn't just a survivor thing. I love the map and burned an offering for it recently, but killer DCed during the loading screen and softlocked the entire game for everyone else lol

It is a trade...if they camp pallets and trade hits that is in them. Run to the next loop or pre drop or both...that is the meta right?

Yeah every game it has happened...I played doc wraith and trapper yesterday and happens with all killers.
The scratch mark situation happens if you lose Los in smaller levels even quicker like lerys or hawkins🙄

It sounds like a pretty accurate term lol I think all survivors hide behind pallets every now and then. It's not quite as damning as a hook being camped so I doubt it's something that gets brought up very often, but you're still hanging out and baiting the killer into taking a hit.

Wouldn't say "congrats survivors". Both sides have been bhvr'd in the past 6 months in relation to pallets. Remember they said they fixed the pallet drop bug in a patch, when they actually hadn't.

Please, these hits have been going the other way for years. You shouldn't get a stun and be down on the ground as well.

Yeah, I understand that too. I guess it's more just a distinction of using a pallet in a chase or to draw the killer's attention away from another survivor, or using the pallet to get a free stun when not in a chase. I usually fall somewhere in between where I'm still in the chase, but I've broken line of sight in an area I can't easily get away from, so I hide by the pallet to hopefully land a stun and get away safely. So a bit of a gray area.

There was a point not long ago when killers could hit even when pallet was completely down and it took 1,5 months to fix. When it happened, killers in here just laughed but now when pallet hits are better than last 5 years it's not fun anymore.

I don't. But if someone does, just like camping, tunneling, slugging, it is up to the individual to play how they want. IN either case, you shouldn't be getting BS hits at pallets.

I am fine with taking the stun just don't give me a scream knock down. And then me wiping my blade and 15 seconds later the survivor is making distance while I am looking for their body on the floor🤬

I think the scream and wiping of the blade animation should not happen at all and just jump straight to the pallet stun...you know like how a game is supposed to work and not be bhvrd🤑

Too bad IW completely removes any audio cues and only thing you can pray on is them not having IW and scratchmarks cause you can't hear footsteps in phase 🤡🤡🤡

Survivors have been getting hit through pallets and windows since this game was released so I'm not too concerned about this right now.

Honestly, maybe I have bad ping and that's the main reason, I have no idea what to tell you guys, but playing Killer since the update is HORRIBLE now.
Survivors have absolutely 100% been abusing this new pallet validation feature.
Believe me, when you see it for yourself you will understand what I mean.
A Survivor will literally not even attempt to drop the Pallet anymore unless I swing as a Killer because they know that even if my hit lands they won't be injured. Happens to me every single game in Red ranks.
Worst part about it is that on my screen I did everything correctly, and I even hear the scream to prove that, but then it gets rejected after.
It's really frustrating and makes the game not fun to play at all.
The scratch marks? Yeah they literally disappear all the sudden even when the Survivors are still running.. so tracking has also been substantially more difficult.
I thought it was just me at first but other killers are experiencing the same or similar issues.. and now there's even Lunge hit validation out in the open, not just at pallets, it has happened to me and others as well.. land a lunge hit in the open and it gets rejected after you hear the scream.
This is broken gameplay to be honest guys, stop trying to say that it's "fine because killers had it in their favor for so long" that's not a good argument, even if it's true, just because killers had it in their favor doesn't mean that now it should be in the survivor favor and killers should just have to play a game where even when they see on their own screen they played correctly the game rejects their hits .. they got to find an actual solution to this problem that doesn't favor one or the other, or as I mentioned before IT WAS MORE FAIR when at least the Survivor still got injured BUT the Killer ALSO took the Pallet Stun hit. |
Then the Killer would still get stunned, have to kick and break the pallet, and waste a little time doing all that, but their hit also landed as they saw on their screen.
The current validation is so completely survivor sided you guys haven't seen what has happened to me yet if you disagree, once you see it for yourself you will understand and probably agree with me.

Exactly...wait until more killers quit because of this abuse. There are times there is no pallet drop until my blade hits them and there is blood and a scream but no it somehow got cancelled because a pallet drop happened at the same time.
Pallet camping before would mean a trade of a hit and stun not this pallet vacuum bs.
All of you survivors that think this is fair, play some games as killer and witness it first hand.

Leatherface feels kinda [BAD WORD] honestly. I've been getting numerous chainsaw downs that keep getting erased.

That's who I was playing the most where I first started noticing it. It's crazy how many chainsaw downs get denied, full on, and on top of that what's worse is now the Chainsaw doesn't even break the Pallets when it collides just in addition to everything, it does like 25% of the time, but 75% of the time the chainsaw is coming at the Survivor, Pallet stun happens regularly and the Pallet does not get destroyed by the saw.

so much fun ... last game it happened 3 times.
- hit (they are in front of the pallet) pallet down and they get teleported to the other side without getting hurt (I have a 20 ping) so pallets are now "survivor haven" ?

There is no abuse, the person who has the better connection to the server wins, which is how it should be.
If you are getting this regularly you should look at getting better internet connection.
