I have been enjoying watching this current season on dowseys channel and it amazes me that the can do almost 7 gens in some games and still find time to cleanse 5 totems.
So y do players still say a base mini corrupt intervention of about a minute at the start or a base noed that activates if the game lasts less than 7 minutes is bad?

I dunno, why can Dowsey get like a 100+ 4k win streak on the Twins and yet if somebody suggested a Twins nerf, people would go nuts?
Maybe the gameplay of people who are literally paid to play this game for 8 hours a day is not a good indication of game balance or what is realistic for everyone else in the player base.

They are also against lower rank killers right now.
Hell they had to shift gears fast when they faced a Legion on Leries.
Suddenly there wasen't time anymore and multiple of the better players were on dead hook against a low rank supposedly weakest killer in the game Legion

It's a 4-man SWF with very strong players on comms, against lower rank players (at least at the start). Of course they have time to do 7 gens.

This "hardcore survivor" is the most BS thing I've ever seen DBD streamers do. 4 dudes with thousands of hours smurfing their way through low ranked killers.

A more effective solution would be if BHVR told fog whisperers they aren't allowed to smurf.

Yeah that match was good and the way they had to get past the camping billy🤣...but they are playing by the rule that they are all trying to survive...they still almost cleaned all the totems even with that pressure.

All of those killers they have faced have full readouts and perks...they certainly aren't brown rank new killers

Look at the load out of the killers after every match all of them have level 3 perks and addons...those are not new killers🤣

and yet all it takes is one lucky chainsaw by a rank 18 leatherface to get an important character killed off early. Yeah, low ranks will be a breeze ofc but there's always potential for a clown fiesta.

All it is is an excuse to play against low ranks and smurf for content. Further reinforcing how miserable high rank play is on dbd.

One feeds into the other. Survivors use coms and rush gens, so killers retaliate and camp, slug, noed.

They had it easy only at the start of the challenge. Have you not seen how fast did they lose their characters once they reached 5 rank? And i dont know about you, but these games clearly showed to me that they didnt have time to cleanse totems against decent killers with some pressure. So they had to risk getting NOED'ed and finish gens faster otherwise they were not going to win.

While I enjoy watching it to some degree, i have to say the only real tension is the point of "Will they get more characters killed by Facecamper than games they need to reach rank 1?".
I only watched the first episode by now and already read something here about overcoming a facecamping billy so i don't know how much of a thread Facecamper are to them but losing enough characters seems to be the only real danger here given their expertise to reach rank 1.

Of the first 16 games or so the only killers to have perks that didn't come with the killer or were general perks were: (I'm only going through the first 16 games since that's what Dowsey has up on youtube)
Demo with Rancor and Overcharge
Wraith with Devour Hope and Pop goes the Weasel (Only had 3 perks)
Ghostface with Haunted Grounds and Corrupt Intervention
Nurse with BBQ and Ruin
Billy with BBQ and Pop goes the Weasel
Rancor was on the shrine - June 16th, 2021
Overcharge was on the shrine - July 14th, 2021
Devour Hope was on the shrine - June 30th, 2021
Pop goes the Weasel was on the shrine - July 7th, 2021
BBQ + Chili was on the shrine - June 30th, 2021
Haunted Ground was on the shrine - June 30th, 2021
Corrupt Intervention was on the shrine - June 30th, 2021
So it's not inconceivable by any means that the people bought these perks from the shrine. (And Overcharge seems like a good perk to a newer player). We got over 1 million BP recently. So yeah, these players were probably newish. It's unlikely any of them were smurfing. some MIGHT have come back after not playing for a bit. But nothing really stands out as these players being even 1/10th as experienced as any of the four players.

A full loadout means nothing, you can play your first killer matches with p3 killers, if you've spent your BP on them before even playing killer.

They already lost the challenge. Yea at first it was boring but once they start getting red ranked killers it was really entertaining and tense to watch.
The best rank they get was 4 I think. Then they run out of survivors to use and challenge ended there

Because they had like 1 basic perk on them while versing full meta perked out killers? Did you even watched it?
If they all used meta perks they would be unstoppable but not having those good perks was the actual challenge. If they do it again they will reach red ranks much sooner with more alive characters because they are now "warmed up" by playing together

And can you please stop making balance assumptions from this kind of content?
On the one side you have tournament-experienced players who play this game for a living (Dowsey was the only survivor who's maybe a mediocre red rank, Otz maybe a bit better -> at least in terms of looping), so obviously they can win most of the games against the usual pub-killers, the excitement comes from the fact that they can only die a few times. So saying "they couldn't reach red ranks, killers OP" is also wrong. You can die quickly in Dbd, even if you're the much better player, there are so many crutches in the form of perks, add-ons, tactics. We all facecamped that one god survivor who was bullying us when we were new ;)
edit: keep in mind they also don't have full meta perk setups and no items

all of those guys have above 4k hours, ayrun alone has like 8k hours. this post makes no sense.
