What bothers me respectfully about this patch.
The Lag Spikes for me got worse rather than fixed. What an awful experience is all i can say in regards too it.
Next the new Hit System needs more tuning. I have a video coming out today of me actually touching the Survivor as they late throw the pallet and they are completely rewarded off it. All imma say is this needs more work its very janky right now it feels like Vacc pallets are back same unrewarding feeling of being robbed.

Same feelings here, both across PS5 and Steam versions.

The new stun-detection should have some looking into, yea. Was playing a lot of SWF games yesterday and the stuns just felt too easy to pull out, not really much risk to it right now if you just camp pallets. I haven't experienced much lag though but that could be due to me playing on PC. I'm sorry for all the console players who still have to deal with that stuff, it sucks, hopefully it's fixed soon for you guys that read this. 💜

I mean, could also just be because Killers were able to be way too confident before, because they got so many Hits in despite the Survivor dropping the Pallet.
Killers need to get used to not swinging at every Pallet anymore for free Hits because of Latency. Once this is done, the Stuns will most likely not be as easy to pull of. (Or, the Devs back up and revert the change, if I have to bet, I would bet on the second one... Killers are already complaining more than Survivors during the past years, lol)

Nah, this should not have hit. It looked on your screen as it should have hit, but it did not. There are hundreds of videos from Survivors who get hit in their air by Killers at Windows/Pallets, but those were supposed to hit, despite not looking like it on the Survivors End.

I mean why shouldn't survivors have safety? The window hits are incredibly killer sided and pallets are the only real defense a survivor has , I've seen survivors drop pallets and still go down since this patch came out so it's not broken I think that they just put their input before yours but its almost impossible to have everything perfectly in sync for both sides in a game like this , so sometimes it appears that you got robbed whether your survivor or killer in certain situations just depending on how well the server is performing and accurately it's keeping track of where you're at

for some reason the pallet hitboxes just seem to be bigger in general but the corners of the pallets are massive

Unfortunately, your video won't mean anything as that's just what your system thinks is happening and it's not what actually ends up happening. Due to the fact that data doesn't travel instantaneously, the positioning on your screen is always slightly different from the server when anything is moving. You thought you were that close, or that the survivor was in that exact location, but the server disagreed. The problem is that your system is feeding you the 'hit' animation right away, even if it's wrong. There needs to be an adjustment to how killers see the hit animation based on this update.
From what I understand, killers somehow had an advantage previously - what the killer saw on their screen mostly determined the actual outcome. This resulted in all of the survivors disliking this part of the game because it looked like they got free but then a hit registered, sometimes egregiously. I can remember many times laughing because I was on the ground what looked like 20 feet from a window after getting hit in a vault.
Anyway, there's never going to be a perfect sync between you, the server and the survivors systems - it's just not possible. The best a company can do is cover up these differences to make it feel better to our perceptions where we sit playing the game. Just do some searches on 'video game hit registration', this is common.

For those commenting how the system works im very understanding of that but just because a system is designed to work a certain way doesn't mean bugs aren't bound you haven't seen the hit for yourselves enough to judge whether or not the system was making the correct choice. I understand there's two different POV's but i assure you the Meg wasn't safe either way even if in her eyes she was a tiny bit ahead the hit would have still been valid. This is a little on me for posting without evidence to prove my point ill just link my video here when its ready and people can be the judge for themselves.
Either way my point still stands the hit system needs to be worked on and as far as the mindset pallets should be safe for Survivor are the exact ones who defended Vacc pallets when they were 100% safe and Survivors needed no skill to use them or even understanding of how to loop properly. The Argument isn't Killers should hit through every pallet but pallets also shouldn't be a 100% safe bet no matter what its the exact issue we ran into years ago and this will be no different the point is no matter what one side is gonna get shafted by this system but seeing what happened with the Meg just made me feel some type of way.
